How Genshin Impact’s Chronicled Wish banners work
Chronicled Wish features a variety of 5-star characters as well as weapons. The pity system for Chronicled Wish appears to be the same as for the character banners. The 5-star hard pity is at 90 pulls, with 4-star hard pity at 10 pulls.
The 50/50 system will also work, which means that your first 5-star has a 50% chance of being your chosen character or weapon. If you lose your 50/50, you will (maybe) receive a 5-star character or weapon from the standard pool. After you lose your 50/50 once, your next 5-star is guaranteed to be the character or weapon you chose.
Based on the rules outlined, although you lose your 50/50, you can still get a 5-star character if you designed a route for a character. Instead, you will get a 5-star standard weapon if you choose a route for a weapon.
It is supposed that it will the soft pity system will remain the same. The soft pity system dramatically increases your chance of pulling a 5-star starting at around 74 pulls. Also, your 5-star pity count will carry over to subsequent Chronicled Wish banners, but your 50/50 absolutely will not.
New Banner System with Multiple 5-Star Characters and Weapons
Chronicled Wish is a new banner system in Genshin Impact where you can pick a character or weapon you wish to obtain from a selection of specific 5-stars. The chance to win your chosen unit when you pull a 5-star is 50%, and will become guaranteed on the next 5-star pull if you failed.
