Genshin Yae Miko Build: Talents, Recommended Weapons, Artifacts, Teams and More

According to leaks, Genshin Impact version 4.4 will soon bring an update to the second half of the banner, featuring reruns of the two five-star characters, Xiao and Yae Miko. This article will focus on analyzing Yae Miko, a 5-star Electro Catalyst character in Genshin Impact, who is best built as an off-field Electro Sub-DPS.

Yae Miko Genshin Talents

Normal Attack: Spiritfox Sin-Eater

Normal Attack Summons forth kitsune spirits, initiating a maximum of 3 attacks that deal Electro DMG. Charged Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to deal Electro DMG after a short casting time. Plunging Attack Gathering the might of Electro, Yae Miko plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Electro DMG upon impact with the ground.

Elemental Skill: Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura

Moves swiftly, leaving a Sesshou Sakura behind. Sesshou Sakura strikes nearby opponents with lightning, dealing Electro DMG. Nearby Sakura level up together, boosting damage. The skill has three charges, allowing a maximum of 3 Sakura at once. Each starts at level 1, reaching max 3. If a new Sakura is too close to an existing one, the existing one is destroyed.

Elemental Burst: Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin

Summons a lightning strike, dealing AoE Electro DMG. When Yae Miko uses this skill, nearby Sesshou Sakura are unsealed, destroyed, and transformed into Tenko Thunderbolts, descending from the skies to deal area-of-effect Electro DMG. Each destroyed Sakura creates one Tenko Thunderbolt.

Weapons and Artifacts of Genshin Yae Miko

1. General Electro Sub-DPS

Noticing the damage of her Elemental Skill, Yae Miko best builds the Golden Troupe artifact to boost her off-field damage. As this set provides big buffs only for her Elemental Skill, her Burst will not benefit much from this artifact. You can use an Elemental Mastery sands if your team comp is centered around Dendro, otherwise use ATK%.

2. Aggravate Electro Sub-DPS

Elemental Mastery weapons and Gilded Dreams become much more attractive to build for Yae Miko on teams that focus on Dendro reactions like Aggravate, especially since it also benefits her Elemental Burst damage. While the overall damage should be near Golden Troupe on such teams, it's generally more resin efficient to farm this set with Deepwood Memories for your support.

Best Team Comps for Yae Miko Genshin

1. Dendro Aggravate Team

Main DPS- Tighnari

Sub-DPS- Yae Miko

Sub-DPS- Nahida

Support-Zhongli

This Dendro Team comp has Nahida apply the Dendro Aura on the enemy while Alhaitham applies Quicken and triggers the Aggravate reaction from Yae Miko's totems. Zhongli can be replaced by Fischl for more Aggravate procs and energy.

2. Overloaded Team Comp

Main DPS- Yoimiya

Sub-DPS- Yae Miko

Sub-DPS- Fischl

Support- Chevreuse

On teams that are focused on Overloaded, Chevreuse is the staple team member for such teams to enable the niche. Yae Miko's Elemental Skill can still target enemies even if they're flung away by the Overloaded knockback.

3. Electro-Charged Team

Main DPS- Raiden

Sub-DPS- Yae Miko

Sub-DPS- Kokomi

Support- Kazuha

Yae Miko can effectively use an Electro-Charged team composition, consistently applying high off-field Electro damage. Raiden and Tartaglia are optimal for damage and quick reactions, but they can be substituted with other Hydro or Electro characters, such as Xingqiu or Fischl.

Summary

Yae Miko is a five-star electro catalyst user who excels in a variety of elemental reaction-driven teams. Her skill allows her to summon turrets which offer plenty of electro application from both on and off-field, and her overall is capable of dishing out some pretty hefty damage.
