Durin Gameplay
Durin is a Pyro Sword DPS who can also grant powerful buffs to his teammates.
After casting his Elemental Skill, Durin gains the Essential Transmutation effect. While active, pressing his Skill enters the Confirmation of Purity state, while using Normal Attacks enters the Denial of Darkness state. Each state grants different buffs and unlocks unique Elemental Bursts.
Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts — Used in the Confirmation of Purity state. Deals 3 hits of AoE Pyro DMG and summons the Dragon of White Flame, which follows the active character and periodically deals AoE Pyro DMG. After nearby party members trigger Burning, Overloaded, Pyro Swirl, or Pyro Crystallize reactions on an opponent, that opponent's Pyro RES, and the RES for the corresponding Element involved in the reaction, are decreased.
Principle of Darkness: As the Stars Smolder — Used in the Denial of Darkness state. Deals 3 hits of AoE Pyro DMG and summons the Dragon of Dark Decay, which follows the active character and periodically attacks a single target with Pyro DMG. Durin's Vaporize DMG is increased by 40% and his Melt DMG is increased by 40%.
Durin Talent Priority
Whether he is in the support-oriented Confirmation of Purity state or the damage-focused Denial of Darkness state, Durin’s performance relies heavily on his Elemental Burst, so prioritize leveling it first. His Elemental Skill is also important, as it restores Elemental Energy and enables more frequent Burst casts. As for his Normal Attack, it is rarely used in combat and can be safely left at a lower level. Below are the recommended talent levels for Durin.
