Skill Priority

Kinich deals damage mainly by his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. So you should prioritize leveling up them. As for Nomal Attack, it is not essential for Kinich. So you can choose to skip upgrading it to save materials. In summary, prioritize Kinich's skills in the following order: Elemental Skill ≥ Elemental Burst > Normal Attack.

Best Weapons for Kinich

Kinich's signature weapon, Fang of the Mountain King, is perfectly designed to complement his abilities. In the absence of her signature weapon, alternative options include Serpent Spine and Earth Shaker.

1. Best Option: Fang of the Mountain King

 Fang of the Mountain King

Base ATK: 741 / 11.0% CRIT Rate

Weapon Effect: Gain 1 stack of Canopy's Favor after hitting an opponent with an Elemental Skill. This can be triggered once every 0.5s. After a nearby party member triggers a Burning or Burgeon reaction, the equipping character will gain 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 2s and can be triggered even when the triggering party member is off-field. Canopy's Favor: Elemental Skill and Burst DMG is increased by 10% / 12.5% / 15% / 17.5% / 20% for 6s. Max 6 stacks. Each stack is counted independently.

Fang of the Mountain King is Kinich's signature weapon. With an increase in Elemental Skill and Burst DMG and a Sub Stat of 11.0% CRIT Rate, Fang of the Mountain King is a very suitable weapon for Kinich as he mainly deals damage by Elemental Skill and Burst. Furthermore, high base ATK benefits ATK-based DPS characters like Kinich and low CRIT Rate makes it suitable for the new Natlan Artifacts Obsidian Codex. Undoubtedly, it is a tailor-made weapon for Kinich and can surpass others in nearly every aspect.

2. Second Option: Serpent Spine

Serpent Spine

Base ATK : 510 / +27.6% CRIT Rate

Weapon Effect: Every 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6% / 7% / 8% / 9% / 10% more DMG and take 3% / 2.7% / 2.4% / 2.2% / 2% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

Serpent Spine is a BP weapon. It can provide with DMG increase which is useful for Kinich. But when equipped with it and the Artifacts Obsidian Codex, you should pay attention to Kinich's CRIT Rate as Serpent Spine and Obsidian Codex can give Kinch a CRIT Rate of at least 67.6%. So keep the Sub Stats of your Artifacts at a rational range to optimize Kinich's performance. Anyway, Serpent Spine is undoubtedly a powerful choice for Kinich.

3. Budget Option: Earth Shaker

Earth Shaker

Base ATK : 565 / 27.6% ATK

Weapon Effect: After a party member triggers a Pyro-related reaction, the equipping character's Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even when the triggering party member is not on the field.

Earth Shaker is a forgeable 4-Star Claymore. Kinich usually plays a role in Burning or Burgeon teams, making him an ideal candidate to fully utilize this weapon’s effects. The performance of Earth Shaker is comparable to other limited 5-Star weapons, so if you don’t have the Fang of the Mountain King or Serpent Spine, Earth Shaker is a highly cost-effective alternative!
