Specialties of Agents

Agents specializing in Attack are skilled at dealing massive damage directly through attacks, defeating enemies, and bringing combat to a swift end.
Stun
Agents specializing in Stun are skilled at accumulating Daze quickly to Stun enemies, creating opportunities for the squad to deal damage.
Support
Agents specializing in Support are skilled at providing buffs to allies and improving the squad's combat efficiency.
Anomaly
Agents specializing in Anomaly are skilled at accumulating Anomaly Buildup to trigger Attribute Anomalies, weakening enemies and dealing
damage. The only Anomaly agent now is Grace.
Defense
Agents specializing in Defense are skilled at unleashing counterattacks when being attacked, with strong survivability.
Attributes of Agents
Physical
Dealing Physical DMG to enemies accumulates the Physical Attribute Anomaly, which subsequently triggers Assault and Flinch effects when enough is accumulated. Assault interrupts the enemy and deals massive Physical DMG,while Flinch increases the Daze the target takes for a period of time.
Fire
Dealing Fire DMG to enemies accumulates Fire Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Burn effect. The Burn effect deals continuous Fire DMG for a period of time. Inflicting the Burn effect can interrupt Organic enemies.
Ice
Dealing lce damage to enemies accumulates the lce Attribute Anomaly, which triggers the Freeze and Frostbite effects. Freeze prevents taking action for a certain period, and triggers Shatter at the end of the effect, dealing lce damage. The Frostbite effect increases the CRIT DMG taken by the target for a period of time.
Electric
Dealing Electric DMG to enemies accumulates Electric Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Shock effect. The Shock effect causes the target to intermittently suffer additional Electric DMG when attacked for a period of time. Inflicting the Shock effect can interrupt Machine enemies.
Ether
Dealing Ether DMG to enemies accumulates Ether Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Corruption effect. The Corruption causes the target to suffer additional Ether DMG when attacked for a period of time. Inflicting the Corruption effect can interrupt Energy enemies.
Stats of Agents
HP | How much damage an Agent can take before falling in combat |
ATK | How much damage an Agent deals |
DEF | Reduces the damage an Agent takes |
Impact | Attacking enemies increases their Daze. A higher Impact stat allows more Daze to accumulate with each attack |
Crit Rate | How likely it is for the Agent to land a critical hit |
Crit DMG | Determines the damage multiplier when landing a critical hit |
PEN | Ignores a set amount of the target’s DEF based on the PEN stat when attacking an enemy |
Pen Ratio | Ignores a percentage of the target’s DEF based on the PEN Ratio stat when attacking an enemy |
Anomaly Mastery | Increases the Attribute Anomaly buildup when using Attribute attacks |
Anomaly Proficiency | Increases the damage done by Attribute Anomaly |
Energy Regen | After entering combat, Agents passively generate Energy every second. The higher this value is, the more Energy gained per second. |
Energy Generation Rate | Energy Generation Rate will increase the Energy generated through Energy Regen, and attacking enemies |
Agent Training
Agent Level Up
Agent level is very important, increasing the Agent's base ATK, DEF and HP. Meanwhile, when the certain level is reached, an ascension bonus to a different stat such as CRIT Rate or Impact will be granted to Agents. The specific stat bonus varies for each character. There also exists level cap for every 10 levels like in other games. To surpass this cap, you need to ascend them using specific ascension materials.
Agent Skill Enhancement
There are 5 skills that can be levelled up for each Agent. There are Basic Attack, Dodge, Special Attack, Chain Attack and Core Skill. Dennies (Mora/Credits/Gold) and levelling materials corresponding to the characters element are needed for this process.
Agent Talents Unlock
Agent Talent are the equivalent of constellations in Genshin Impact or Eidolons in Honkai Star Rail. To unlock the Agent talents you will need to get dupes (additional copies). There are 6 passives (From A to F) that can be unlocked via dupes for each character.
Agent Equipment
Disk Drives
Disk Drives are the equivalent of Artifacts from Genshin Impact or Relics from Honkai Star Rail. In Zenless Zone Zero, Disk Drives can be equipped on Agents to enhance their stats. By combining different Sets of these Disk Drives, additional traits can be unlocked. Each character has 6 slots for Disk Drives.
W-Engines
W-Engines are the equivalent of Weapons from Genshin Impact or Light Cones from Honkai: Star Rail. There are 3 rarities in Zenless Zone Zero: S-rank, A-rank and B-rank. W-Engines usually have a Base Stat of Baes ATK and an Advanced Stat of another stat that changes based on the W-Engine. Futhermore, a passive effect also comes with W-Engines that can offer more buffs in the combat. W-Engines have various types corresponding to Agents of different specialties. And the special passive can only be actived when a certain specialty Agents equips with it. For example, only Attack characters can activate the special passive of an Attack W-Engine.
