ZZZ 2.5 Release Date
Zenless Zone Zero version 2.5 "To Be Fuel for the Night" will release on December 30, 2025.
ZZZ 2.5 Banner Overview
Version 2.5 will not feature the usual split-phase banner system. Instead, the two new characters—Zhao and Ye Shunguang—will have their banners available at the same time and remain until the end of the version! As for rerun characters, Alice, Soldier 0-Anby and Astra Yao will return in the second half of Version 2.5.

ZZZ 2.5 New Characters
Ye Shunguang
Ye Shunguang is a Honed Edge Attack DPS who revolves around managing Sword Will and Sky Force. She generates swords and converts them into Sword Will through her Special Attack, then enters Sword Stance via her Ultimate or Assist, gaining boosted damage and access to enhanced Earth (ground) and Heaven (air) attack strings. These stance attacks build Sky Force, which she can consume through powerful Third-Form follow-ups for large burst damage. Her gameplay focuses on building resources, entering stance, and timing big damage windows.

Zhao
Zhao is an HP-scaling buffer who converts her high Max HP into powerful teamwide offensive buffs. She builds Frostbite Points while off-field, and when fully charged, switching her in triggers her Entry Skill, consuming all points to activate Ether Veil: Wellspring. While Ether Veil is active, Zhao grants the entire squad Max HP and a large flat ATK boost, provides a scaling teamwide DMG bonus that increases with her initial Max HP, gains bonus CRIT Rate based on her Max HP. In short, Zhao rewards heavy HP investment by offering strong, long-lasting team buffs, making her an excellent support for squads that want consistent ATK, HP, and DMG amplification.

ZZZ 2.5 New W-Engine
Cloudcleave Radiance (S-Rank)
Type: Attack | Base ATK: 743 | CRIT DMG: 48%
R1: The equipper's DMG ignores 20% of the target's Physical RES. When the equipper activates an Ether Veil, the equipper's DMG increases by 20% and CRIT DMG increases by 20% for 40s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
Half-Sugar Bunny (S-Rank)
Type: Defence | Base ATK: 713 | HP: 30%
R1: The equipper's Energy Regen increases by 0.46/s. All squad members gain 10% ATK and 10% Max HP. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad. When the equipper activates or extends an Ether Veil, the whole squad gains 30% CRIT DMG for 60s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
Cauldron of Clarity (A-Rank)
Type: Rupture | Base ATK: 594 | HP: 25%
R5: When the equipper activates an EX Special Attack, they gain 1 stack of a buff. Each stack increases the equipper's DMG by 6.4%, up to 3 stacks, and lasting 20s. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s, and repeated triggers reset the duration. At 3 stacks, the equipper's CRIT Rate increases by 10.4%.
