ZZZ 2.5 Banner Leaks
According to Full Stop Chan, a well-known leaker in the ZZZ community, Version 2.5 will not feature the usual split-phase banner system. Instead, the two new characters—Zhao and Ye Shunguang—will have their banners available at the same time and remain open throughout the entire version.
As for rerun characters, there’s currently no confirmed information about who might return.

ZZZ 2.5 New Characters
Ye Shunguang
Ye Shunguang is a Physical Attack DPS who revolves around managing Sword Will and Sky Force. She generates swords and converts them into Sword Will through her Special Attack, then enters Sword Stance via her Ultimate or Assist, gaining boosted damage and access to enhanced Earth (ground) and Heaven (air) attack strings. These stance attacks build Sky Force, which she can consume through powerful Third-Form follow-ups for large burst damage. Her gameplay focuses on building resources, entering stance, and timing big damage windows.

Zhao
Zhao is an HP-scaling Ice Defence character who supports the entire squad by converting her own Max HP into powerful healing and team-wide buffs. Her Special Attackdrain her own HP to restore HP to all squad members. Her Ultimate activates Ether Veil: Health, a long-lasting buff that not only increases Zhao’s own ATK based on her Max HP, but also grants unique bonuses to all squad members depending on their combat role—for example, increasing Attack agents’ CRIT DMG, Rupture agents’ Sheer Force, and Support agents’ ATK. Besides, Zhao can also further boosting the team by granting a teamwide DMG bonus for 12 seconds whenever she uses her EX Special Attack or whenever any Ether Veil is active.

R1: Equipper's DMG ignores 20% of target's Physical RES; When equipper activates [Ether Veil], their DMG increases by 20% and CRIT DMG increases by 20% for 40 seconds, repeated triggers reset the duration.
Half-Sugar Bunny (S-Rank)
Type: Defence | Base ATK: 713 | HP: 30%
R1: Equipper's Energy Regen increases by 0.46 points/sec; all squad members' ATK increases by 10%, Max HP increases by 10%, this effect is unique to the squad; when the equipper activates or extends [Ether Veil], increases the whole squad's CRIT DMG by 30% for 60 seconds, repeated triggers refresh the duration.
Cauldron of Clarity (A-Rank)
Type: Rupture | Base ATK: 594 | HP: 25%
R5: When the equipper uses [EX Special Attack], they gain 1 stack of buff. Each stack increases the equipper's DMG by 6.4%, stacking up to 3 times and lasting 20 seconds. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5 seconds. The duration of each stack is calculated separately, and repeated triggers reset the duration. When the equipper has 3 stacks, their CRIT Rate is increased by 10.4%.
