Tower of Adversity 3.0 Duration
Tower of Adversity 3.0 starts on January 5, 2026, and stays active until the reset on February 2, 2026.
ToA Introduction
Tower of Adversity is Wuthering Waves’ main endgame combat mode, featuring timed challenge stages across three towers: Resonant (left), Hazard (middle), and Echoing (right). Each tower has different enemy patterns and stage layouts. Progression is limited by Vigor, a resource that determines how often each Resonator can be used per reset.
Vigor basics
Every character has 10 Vigor
Resonant Tower (left) & Echoing Tower (right) Vigor cost per stage:
- Stage 1: 1 Vigor
- Stage 2: 2 Vigor
- Stage 3: 3 Vigor
- Stage 4: 4 Vigor
Hazard Tower (middle): every stage costs 5 Vigor.
40 Vigors are needed to clear each ToA reset fully. You need at least 4 full teams to clear a full Tower of Adversity reset.
Vigor Usage Tips
Use weaker or older Resonators on Resonant and Echoing Stages 1 - 3. Reserve your strongest resonators and premium teams for Resonant Stage 4, Echoing Stage 4, and all Hazard stages. Avoid spending high Vigor teams early so you don’t run out of options for the hardest fights.
Teams for Each Tower
Resonant Tower (Left)
Stage 4 includes mobs before the boss
Favor AoE-focused teams and resonators
Run AoE main DPS + sub-DPS + buffer/healer
Echoing Tower (Right)
Stage 4 is a single boss fight
Favor single-target hypercarries
Run hypercarry + best-in-slot sub-DPS + buffer/healer
Hazard Tower (Middle)
Stages 1 & 3 are boss-focused
Stages 2 & 4 include mobs and a boss
Requires two meta teams that handle both AoE and single-target damage

| Casting an Echo Skill increases Attribute DMG by 6% for all Resonators in the team, stacking up to 4 times. The same Resonator with identical Echoes cannot trigger this effect multiple times. At 4 stacks, Crit. DMG of all Resonators in the team is increased by 36%. | |

Recommended Teams
For 3.0 Resonant Tower, buff favors frequent Echo Skill casts, granting 6% Attribute DMG per cast to the whole team, stacking up to 4 times (24% Attribute DMG), and adding 36% Crit DMG at max stacks. Resonators that can cast Echo Skills frequently, including Resonators whose skills or Resonance Liberations count as Echo Skill activations, gain the most value, as they can stack and maintain these buffs. Since Resonant Tower Stage 4 includes mob waves before a boss, the optimal setup is an AoE on-field DPS supported by a sub-DPS or buffer that can maintain Echo uptime, allowing the team to carry 24% Attribute DMG and 36% Crit DMG into the boss fight.

3.0 Echoing Tower buff revolves around Intro Skills and shields. Intro Skills grants the active Resonator a 3000 HP shield, and every time a shield is gained, the Resonator receives 10% Crit DMG for 30 seconds, stacking 5 times (50% Crit DMG). Resonators that can Intro Skills frequently or refresh shields gain the most buffs, as they can maintain high Crit DMG throughout run. Since Echoing Tower Stage 4 is a single-boss encounter, this buff strongly favors single-target hypercarries supported by teammates that enable fast rotations and repeated Intro Skill triggers.

Enemy Spectro RES and Aero RES are decreased by 10%, and their Fusion RES and Electro RES are increased by 10%. Resonators ignore 25% of the enemy's DEF when dealing damage. When enemies are affected by Negative Statuses, their DMG taken is Amplified by 20%. | ||

Hazard Tower Stage 1 and 2 Recommended Teams
3.0 Hazard Tower 1&2 area effect favors teams that can consistently apply Negative Statuses and take advantage of DEF ignore and damage amplification. Enemies have Spectro RES and Aero RES reduced by 10% and Fusion RES and Electro RES increased by 10%. Prioritize Spectro and Aero Resonators while avoiding Fusion and Electro resonators. Since Resonators ignore 25% of enemy DEF and enemies under Negative Statuses take 20% more damage, prioritize characters that can reliably apply Negative Statuses likeZani, Cartethyia, Phoebe, and Ciaccona.

Hazard Tower Stage 3 and 4 Recommended Teams
For 3.0 Hazard Tower Stages 3 & 4, the buffs reward Tune mechanics and shield resonators. After 60 seconds, Resonators gain 5% total DMG, increasing by 5% every 5 seconds up to 60%. All teams also gain a flat 10% total DMG. Casting a Tune Break grants +10% total DMG to the entire team, stacking up to 3 times with a 15s cooldown, while dealing Tune Rupture DMG grants 40% total DMG for 30s. Enemies gain 15% All-Attribute RES, but this penalty does not apply to Resonators with a shield and is removed when Tune Rupture DMG is dealt. Because of this, prioritize Resonators that can maintain shields, trigger Tune Breaks frequently, and apply Tune Rupture consistently.
