Roccia Overview
Roccia is a 5-star rarity Havoc Resonator in Version 2.0 of Wuthering Waves. She utilizes Gauntlet weapons and serves mostly as a Sub DPS unit in combat. She releases during the second phase of Version 2.0 after Carlotta. During her release, she will be joined by the re-run banner of Jinhsi. With more Resonators coming along in Version 2.0, Roccia will have more Main DPS and Support options she can pair with in battle, especially Resonators whose playstyle centers on Basic and Havoc Attacks.
Roccia Gameplay and Playstyle
Roccia is a flexible Sub DPS who deals Havoc Damage to enemies as well as buffs to her teammates. She also adds team utility by pulling in enemies and dealing consecutive attacks to them with charged Heavy Attacks. Her notable skills and skill mechanics include her Forte Circuit, Resonance Liberation, Resonance Skill, and Beyond Imagination state. As of Version 2.0, she is now one of the top Sub DPS options in the game, together with Zhezhi and Sanhua. Her damage amplification skills are beneficial for Main DPS units such as Camellya, Encore, and Havoc Rover.
Skill Priority for Roccia
Below are the skill priorities for Roccia:
Skill | Priority |
Forte Circuit | ★★★★ (High) |
Resonance Liberation | ★★★ (Medium) |
Resonance Skill | ★★ (Medium) |
Normal Attack | ★ (Low) |
Intro Skill | ★ (Low) |
Forte Circuit: A Prop Master Prepares
Your main priority is to upgrade Roccia’s Forte Circuit. This will boost Roccia’s Havoc DMG (also considered as Heavy Attack DMG) and maximize the effects of her Beyond Imagination state. Also, this skill has the highest damage multipliers and would significantly boost Roccia’s Stage damage in battle (Stage 1 to Stage 3 DMG).
Resonance Liberation: Commedia Improvviso!
Focus next on Roccia’s Resonance Liberation for additional Havoc DMG boost and Heavy Attack DMG boost. Also, boosting this skill will increase her Havoc DMG multipliers. Furthermore, this skill provides team-based buffs in terms of Attack damage increase.
Resonance Skill: Acrobatic Trick
If you already raised the level of Roccia’s priority skills, you have the option to level her Resonance Skill. This skill boosts her Skill DMG.
Normal Attack: Pero, Easy
Roccia’s normal attack is less important compared to her Forte Circuit and Resonance Liberation, nut if you want to maximize Roccia's damage, it is still essential to upgrade this skill.
Intro Skill: Pero, Help
Another lowest priority is Roccia’s Intro Skill. Unlocking this skill enables Roccia to access her Basic Attack Stage 4 immediately when you switch to her in battle. Her Stage 4 Attack has the highest damage multiplier among her Stage Attacks.
Best Weapons for Roccia
Below are the best Gauntlet weapons for Roccia.
1. Tragicomedy
Weapon | Base Stats |
![]() Tragicomedy (5★) |
+587 ATK (Level 90) +24.3% CRIT Rate (Level 90) |
Weapon Effect (R1) | Fool’s Warble: Increases ATK by 12%. Every time Basic Attack or Intro Skill is cast, Heavy Attack DMG Bonus increases by 48% for 3s. |
Roccia’s 5-star signature weapon, Tragicomedy, is her best-in-slot weapon. In addition to the 24.3% CRIT Rate increase, the Gauntlet weapon also gives a Heavy Attack DMG boost.
2. Verity’s Handle
Weapon | Base Stats |
![]() Verity’s Handle (5★) |
+587 ATK (Level 90) +24.3% CRIT Rate (Level 90) |
Weapon Effect (R1) | Ad Veritatem: Gain 12% Attribute DMG Bonus. When using Resonance Liberation, the wielder gains 48% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus for 8s. This effect can be extended by 5 seconds each time Resonance Skills are cast, up to 3 times. |
Verity’s Handle is Xiangli Yao’s 5-star signature weapon and an alternate option to Roccia. The Gauntlet weapon gives a Critical Rate boost, which is essential to her Resonance Liberation’s Attack damage team bonus. Although this signature weapon can work for her, it is still not optimal since the weapon effect emphasizes more burst damage rather than Roccia’s focus on Heavy Attack damage.
3. Abyss Surges
Weapon | Base Stats |
![]() Abyss Surges (5★) |
+587 ATK (Level 90) +36.4% ATK (Level 90) |
Weapon Effect (R1) | Stormy Revolution: Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%. When hitting a target with Resonance Skill, increases Basic Attack DMG Bonus by 10%, lasting for 8. When hitting a target with Basic Attacks, increases Resonance Skill DMG Bonus by 10%, lasting for 8s. |
Abyss Surges is a generic 5-star weapon available for all Gauntlet users. This weapon synergizes with Roccia’s playstyle, which emphasizes Basic Attacks and Heavy Attacks. This Gauntlet weapon also boosts her Resonance Skill, which involves pulling enemies and launching herself in mid-air to initiate a combo or switch to another ally. Unfortunately, you will not get Critical Rate bonuses and have to farm for Echoes that can make up for that sub-stat.
4. Stonard
Weapon | Base Stats |
![]() Stonard (4★) |
+412 ATK (Level 90) +20.2% CRIT Rate (Level 90) |
Weapon Effect (R5) | Wallbreaker: When Resonance Skill is released, increases the caster's Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus by 54%, lasting for 15s. |
Stonard is a preferred generic 4-star Gauntlet weapon that increases Roccia’s Ultimate damage. She will also benefit from the Critical Rate boost since it also helps her Resonance Liberations Attack damage team bonus.
5. Celestial Spiral
Weapon | Base Stats |
![]() Celestial Spiral(4★) |
+462ATK (Level 90) +18.2% ATK (Level 90) |
Weapon Effect (R5) | Intergalactic Gaze: Casting the Resonance Skill grants 10 Resonance Energy and increases ATK by 20%, lasting for 16s. This effect can be triggered once every 20s. |
If you don’t have Abyss Surges or Stonard, you can use Celestial Spiral as a temporary option. Roccia gains an increase in Attack damage whenever she uses her Resonance Skill. Also, she can maintain the uptime of the attack buff due to her playstyle.
Best Echo Sets for Roccia
Here are the best echo sets for Roccia.
1. Midnight Veil Sub DPS Full Echo Set (Havoc Team and End Game Set)
Echo | Set Effects |
![]() Midnight Veil |
|
Main Echo | |
![]() Nightmare: Impermanence Heron |
|
Midnight Veil is Roccia’s best Echo set as Sub DPS when paired with Havoc Main DPS units like Camellya and Havoc Rover. This set buffs her Havoc DMG, which is also considered her Heavy Attack DMG in her kit. When Roccia’s Outro Skill is utilized, the set provides an additional 15% Havoc DMG bonus towards the switching Resonator apart from the 20% Havoc DMG Amplification from the skill.
Nightmare: Impermanence Heron is Roccia’s recommended Main Echo for this set. This Echo is straightforward and gives her Havoc DMG and Heavy Attack DMG bonuses.
2. Moonlit Clouds Sub DPS Full Echo Set (Non-Havoc Team and Early Game Set)
Echo | Set Effects |
![]() Moonlit Clouds |
|
Main Echo | |
![]() Phantom Impermanence Heron (Option 1) |
|
![]() Impermanence Heron (Option 2) |
|
Moonlit Clouds is recommended for Roccia when paired with non-Havoc Main DPS units like Encore. The Echo set gives additional Energy Regen to the wielder and provides an Attack damage boost to the incoming Resonator in battle. There is no issue related to overlapping boost effects between Roccia’s Outro Skill and Moonlit Clouds since both last 14 seconds and 15 seconds, respectively. Also, this set is more likely shared with your other sub-DPS units like Sanhua, so it is recommended to stick with this Echo set until you have the best stats and sub-stats for your Midnight Veil set.
Phantom Impermanence Heron and the standard Impermanence Heron both shares the same effects of Havoc DMG increase. However, the Phantom version has higher multipliers compared to the original Impermanence Heron. In terms of playstyle, it also gives the next incoming Resonator additional Attack damage paired with Roccia’s Outro Skill.

Best Teams Compositions for Roccia
Here are the best team compositions for Roccia.
1. Camellya Team (Havoc Premium Team)
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
Camellya (5★) |
Roccia (5★) |
Shorekeeper (5★) |
Camellya is Roccia’s current Best-in-Slot (BiS) teammate. Apart from being a Havoc damage dealer, her playstyle focuses on dealing enhanced basic attacks which Roccia significantly boosts in combat. In addition to Roccia’s Outro Skill buffs, she can increase Camellya’s damage output through her Resonance Liberation. Furthermore, Roccia can help Camellya set her combos by pulling their enemies together in one spot through her Resonance Skill and activating her Beyond Imagination state. Then, letting Camellya switch in to deal AoE damage mid-air and triggering her own Blossom Mode.
For Shorekeeper, she provides Camellya and Roccia sustained healing, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG buffs through her Stellarealm field. This ring field will remain for 30 seconds and is not lost when switching to another unit. In addition, she provides damage amplification through her Outro Skill. If you do not have Shorekeeper, you can use Verina or Baizhi instead.
▷ Recommended Echo Selection of Camellya in this team:
- Echo set: Sun-sinking Eclipse (5-piece)
- Main Echo position: Nightmare: Crownless
▷ Recommended Echo Selection of Shorekeeper/Verina/Baizhi in this team:
- Echo set: Rejuvenating Glow (5)
- Main Echo position: Fallacy of No Return or Bell-Borne Geochelone
- Recommended Energy Regen: over 230%
2. Rover · Havoc Team (Havoc F2P Team)
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
Rover • Havoc(5★) |
Roccia (5★) |
Baizhi (4★) |
Havoc Rover is another Main DPS option you can pair with Roccia. This Resonator benefits from Roccia’s Outro skill which boosts Havoc DMG and Basic Attack DMG, especially when the Dark Surge state is active in battle. Once Havoc Rover’s Sequence Node 5 (S5) becomes available as Version 2.0, the main story progresses, and Roccia’s damage buff will become more substantial.
As for Baizhi, she provides the team with an all-type DMG amplification aside from her healing. This occurs when she switches out and uses her Outro Skill. Keep in mind that she has fewer buffs compared to Shorekeeper and a slow Concerto Energy recovery compared to Verina.
▷ Recommended Echo Selection of Rover • Havoc in this team:
- Echo set: Sun-sinking Eclipse (5-piece)
- Main Echo position: Dreamless
▷ Recommended Echo Selection of Baizhi in this team:
- Echo set: Rejuvenating Glow (5)
- Main Echo position: Fallacy of No Return or Bell-Borne Geochelone
- Recommended Energy Regen: over 230%
3. Encore Team (Non-Havoc F2P Team)
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|
Encore (5★) |
Roccia (5★) |
Verina (5★) |
Encore is a DPS Resonator that switches from a ranged damage dealer to a melee fighter. Once Encore activates her Resonance Liberation, her Normal Attacks become enhanced by Cosmos Rampage in battle. Then, Roccia switches in and uses her own Resonance Liberation to buff Encore and herself further. Once Encore returns to her normal state, Roccia can switch in again and execute her combo rotations to the enemy as a Sub DPS.
In the same manner, Verina can also perform quick combos in addition to her healing and buffs. This allows for more field time for both Encore and Roccia to unleash their attacks. Notably, Verina can also perform mid-air attacks that Roccia synergizes with in terms of combos.
▷ Recommended Echo Selection of Encore in this team:
- Echo set: Molten Rift (5-piece)
- Main Echo position: Inferno Rider
▷ Recommended Echo Selection of Verina in this team:
- Echo set: Rejuvenating Glow (5)
- Main Echo position: Fallacy of No Return or Bell-Borne Geochelone
- Recommended Energy Regen: over 230%
Is Roccia Still Worth Pulling?
This Wuthering Waves Roccia build guide focuses on her role as a Sub DPS Resonator. Her strong skills such as Forte Circuit, Resonance Liberation, and Normal Attacks are her main source of damage. As a Sub DPS specializing in buffed Basic Attacks, Heavy Attacks, and Mid-Air Attacks, she fits with the playstyle of Camellya, Encore, Havoc Rover, and Danjin. When it comes to Support Resonators, Roccia does not have a strict preference and can be paired with Shorekeeper, Verina, and Baizhi.
Roccia is worth pulling on her debut banner because she serves as a complementary Sub DPS unit for Basic Attack-centric teams, which includes Encore. Also, it is a great opportunity to pull for her since she fits very well with Havoc DMG-focused teams that feature Camellya, Havoc Rover, and Danjin.
