In Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, Siege Mode, you face a continuous wave of xenos and heretic enemies that you need to defeat. The objective is simple: hold your ground for as long as possible, and earn rewards. Soldiers from the Imperial Guard and other Space Marines will join the fight to help you as the waves get harder.
That said, Siege Mode feels quite different from the game’s Operations mode. Because the enemies never stop coming, your build becomes much more important than usual. Choosing the wrong weapon or perks can make things much harder once the later waves start piling on the pressure.

Waves
Waves are the main feature of the mode. You and your team will have to face different waves of enemies, with different power levels and different rewards. Once you clear five waves in a row in one area, you’ll get a chance to escape or get to a new area.
There are 5 types of waves, starting from wave 5 up to wave 25, and it has two different difficulty variants, Normal and Hard, each with 5 waves. Both difficulties work the same way, but Hardmode increases the difficulty a bit more by deploying stronger enemies and increasing the number of Majoris and Terminus-tier foes you’ll have to deal with.
Normal Wave
- Wave 5: 60 Requisition
- Wave 10: 3 Uncommon Armory Data
- Wave 15: 300 Requisition
- Wave 20: 3 Epic Armory Data
- Wave 25: 500 Requisition
Hard Wave
- Wave 5: 190 Requisition
- Wave 10: 3 Epic Armory Data
- Wave 15: 600 Requisition
- Wave 20: 3 Legendary Armory Data
- Wave 25: 1,000 Requisition
Waves follow a pattern. It has a definite pattern in which the enemies' wave comes, and if you make sure to understand the pattern, you will have a better chance of clearing it.
- First Wave - Normal Wave
- Second Wave - Normal Wave with Side Objectives
- Third wave - Normal Wave (one or two Terminus spawn for Wave 18 and onwards)
- Fourth wave - Normal Wave with Side Objectives
- Fifth wave - Terminus Wave (one Terminus spawn during Wave 5, two during Wave 10, and three for Wave 15 and onwards)

Survival Tips
Teamwork and positioning are much more effective than just aiming for Siege Mode. Staying close to your squad is important. When everyone sticks together, reviving teammates and handling threats becomes much easier.
If you want to win, then defeat difficult enemies first, especially Majoris and Terminus units, as they can quickly turn the fight in the enemy’s favor. At the same time, managing your Requisition points carefully, saving them for tougher moments later in the run, can make a big difference.
After your team clears five waves, you’ll reach an extraction point. At this stage, you can either end the Siege to run and evacuate or push forward and continue fighting.
If you walk away now, you lock in everything you’ve fought for: every piece of Armory Data, every Requisition Point. It’s yours, no takebacks. You can cash out, safe and sound. Your squad pushes forward into a whole new sector. New arena, new scenery, new enemy faction breathing down your necks. And yeah, another five waves are waiting for you.
Evacuation becomes available again after those waves are completed. The longer your team survives and the more waves you clear, the better the rewards you’ll take home.
Conclusion
The Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Siege Mode is a survival mode in which you and your team need to survive waves of enemies, such as xenos and heretics. You either need to kill them or you need to support your team in killing them and surviving. You can use different builds that can come in handy while fighting.
Understanding the wave and its enemy pattern can give you an upper hand in any combat. Once you understand the wave, you will know which utilities to use and which ones to save, how to attack, when to defend, etc. This is also a team game; therefore, playing for the team and with the team can also benefit you a lot.
