Finding Ingredients for Cooking

Cooking in New World includes a huge variety of foods that can be crafted with various ingredients. This is how ingredients can be gathered:

  • Going to any farm and gathering whatever is around (Make sure to harvest all the herbs/seasonings, berries on the bushes, honey on the trees, etc. that you come across, all of the ingredients gathered come in handy).
  • Looting provision crates.
  • Purchase from the market.
  • Killing animals (boards, wolves, etc.) to get pork and red meat.

Earning profits alongside gathering ingredients

After killing boars, they drop pork - a tier 1 ingredient we need for making meals, and also rawhide, which can be sold and the profit can be used to purchase ingredients that are slower to harvest or rare or difficult to attain. Additionally, Attribute-boosting foods can be made and sold on the Trading post as they usually sell very fast. As a wide variety of ingredients are available, the best choice differs from server to server.

Conclusion

Cooking in New World: Aeternum is an enjoyable and acquiescent crafting skill to level. This can be done at any level and does not need you to have any starting gold, instead, you may probably end up making a profit when it comes to gold as you move forward with the levelling process.

While gathering ingredients, make sure to store all the ingredients you come across, abundant or not, they come in handy for this process. Many of the ingredients like Pork belly, Venison Tenderloin etc are difficult to harvest/gather. In this case, luck plays an important role. Cooking gear and trophies aid in increasing the luck. Luck trophies in your house, consumables like Rabbit Foot, and gems like Pearl in your gear help in increasing the luck.
