Final Fantasy XIV Yokai Watch 2024 Event Guide

The crossover event from Yo-kai Watch is back as Final Fantasy XIV Yokai Watch 2024 Event, bringing joy to collectors of minions, fans of glamour weapons, and those who enjoy unique mounts. A fresh Framer's Kit is now available for players to obtain and apply to their character portraits.

The event started on 24th April 2024 and will last until 27th June 2024, with the schedule subject to possible adjustments. Make sure to participate and claim your desired rewards before the event concludes. Medals acquired in previous versions of the event remain usable during this iteration. In this article, we will discuss everything that we know about the event so far.

Getting Started with The Yokai Watch Event

In order to begin the event, you need to perform the following tasks.

• Go to the Poor-heeled Youth in Ul'dah - Steps of Nald to initiate the quest titled 'A Total Game Changer'. You can visit this NPC at coordinates (9.2, 9.1). 

• Then, proceed to the Gold Saucer and have a conversation with the Wandering Executive located at coordinates (5.2, 6.9).

• Later, make your way to Bentbranch Meadows in the Central Shroud and interact with the following characters:

- Keitha - at coordinates (20.3, 22.0)
- Aethelthryth - at coordinates (20.7, 22.6)
- Giah Molkoh - at coordinates (21.4, 22.2)

• Subsequently, go to Aethelthryth at coordinates (15.1, 25.1) and engage with the Ancient Stone Vessel.

• After that, return to the Wandering Executive at coordinates (5.2, 6.9) in the Gold Saucer to finalize the quest.

• Your rewards will include:

- 'End of Watch' achievement
- Yo-kai Medallium
- Yo-kai Medal
- Yo-kai Watch

• Make sure you always have your Yo-kai Watch for the entire duration of the event.

Getting Weapons and The Yo-kai Minions

To get the Weapons, minions or even the Framer's kit, you need to buy it using the Yo-kai medals that you earned. For that, you can interact with Nohi. This NPC can be located at coordinates (5.2, 6.9) in Gold Saucer. The cost for 1st minion in 1 medal and subsequent purchase would cost 3 medals each.

The cost for 1st weapon is 5 medals, and subsequent purchases would cost 10 medals each.

As you can see, Yo-kai medals are important, and you'll need them to get weapons and minions. To earn these medals, you have to complete FATEs. Your ratings when you complete them should be at Silver or more. You must have a Yo-kai watch with you all the time.

Getting Framer's Kit and Mounts

You must collect all the minions before you buy the Framer's kit from Nohi at coordinates (5.2, 6.9) in Gold Saucer. It will cost you 20,000 MGP.

Three mounts available as achievement rewards in the event:

• Jibanyan Couch: Achieve 'More Inventory Slots, Please II' (collect all 17 Yo-kai weapons; note: sword and shield count as one).

• Whisper A-go-go: Earn through 'More Inventory Slots, Please I' achievement (collect 13 Yo-kai weapons).

• Whisper-go: Obtained by completing 'You Must Needs Befriend Them All I' achievement (collect 13 Yo-kai minions).

This is a limited-time event, and any slip-ups could cost you an opportunity to get Framer's kit and minions. To avoid these, you need to be ready with the latest gear and equipment and should have a decent amount of Gil in your inventory. If you don't worry, we've got you covered.
