  • Sigrid Overview

Sigrid is a S-Rank Ice Attack Agent with a pretty unique playstyle. Her gameplay revolves around alternating between many different attacks to trigger the Aerial Patrol Spear state, enhancing her Basic Attack to unleash Converging Spear, dealing great DMG. Going into details, Sigrid's 4th Basic Attack, Dodge Counter, EX Special Attack, Assist Follow-up, Chain Attack, and Ultimate Attack are all considered Unbridled Spear skills. When Sigrid deals DMG using Unbridled Spear skills, the Aerial Patrol Spear state is triggered, and there'll be a small window in which you can hold the Basic Attack button to make her perform Converging Spear, indicated by the gauge below her icon turning blue. When triggering or refreshing the Aerial Patrol Spear state, Sigrid's Crit Rate is significantly increased for a short duration, and her EX Special Attack's Energy requirement is lowered.

Equipped with a shield, Sigrid can automatically block enemy attacks during the animation of her first and second Basic Attack, negating any DMG and refreshing the Aerial Patrol Spear state. When Sigrid uses a Chain Attack on a stunned enemy for the first time, she enters the Formation Breaker state. During this state, the current stage of Sigrid's Converging Spear is recorded, while she gains three special Converging Spear attacks that can be performed in quick succession when the Basic Attack button is held, their DMG is also increased. After performing all three attacks, the Formation Breaker state ends, and the recorded stage of Converging Spear is restored.

Sigrid Overview

Sigrid Skill Priority

Below are the best skill priorities for Sigrid:

SkillPriority
Core SkillCore Skill★★★★★ (Top)
Basic Attack Basic Attack★★★★ (High)
Special Attack Special Attack★★★★ (High)
Chain Attack Chain Attack★★★★ (High)
Dodge Dodge★★ (Medium)
Assist Assist★★ (Medium)

Sigrid's Core Skill provides her with an unconditional increase of 14.4% Crit Rate and an additional 66% Crit Rate for a short period of time when activating or refreshing her Aerial Patrol Spear at max level, the amazing boost in raw stats puts this skill at the top of the priority list. Following right after are her Basic Attack, Special Attack, and Chain Attack, they're all fundamental to her kit, being the most frequently used and the main source of DMG. Lastly, her Dodge and Assist skill should only be upgraded once the other skills are adequately developed, as they're highly situational and don't bring about as much value.

Sigrid Best W-Engines

Similar to other Attack Agents, Sigrid wants as much Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and ATK as possible. However, there's some nuance to it. As explained above, Sigrid's Core Skill already grants her a tremendous total of 80.4% Crit Rate, and as we all know, overcapping Crit Rate doesn't add anything. Therefore, to maximize Sigrid's strength, you shouldn't equip her with W-Engines that provide additional Crit Rate, especially when there's only space for 19.6% Crit Rate (or 8 Crit Rate rolls). Instead, go for W-Engines that provide Crit DMG, ATK, and/or Defense Shred. Unsurprisingly, her Signature W-Engine, Knight's Extolment, provides her with exactly what she needs, making it her best choice.

Sigrid Best Teams

Sigrid works best in hypercarry team comps, as she's a main DPS that requires a lot of field time, and her Additional Core Ability enables this very well with it requiring a Stun or Support Agent to activate.

1. Sigrid Premium Team

Sigrid's premium teamates are pretty easy to guess. Norma and Dialyn are easily two of the best Stunners in the game. Similarly, Astra Yao and Sunna are the best Supports for Attack Agents.

2. Sigrid Free To Play Team

Sigrid's free-to-play teams are fortunately very friendly. Lycaon synergizes amazingly with Sigrid, he's already strong enough as a free Stunner, but his Ice element buffs elevate him even further. For the slot of the third teamate, we choose Rina, Zhao, and Nicole. They all work very well and it only comes down to your playstyle.

Sigrid Mindscape Cinema

M1: Long, Long Ago
  • Rating: ★★★★ (Great)
  • Effect: Upon activating the 3rd stage of Basic Attack: Converging Spear, gain Aerial Patrol Spear and obtain 1 additional activation of Basic Attack: Converging Spear. When activations exceed the stored Basic Attack: Converging Spear activations, the next Basic Attack: Converging Spear deals an additional 100% of ATK as Ice DMG. Sigrid's ATK increases by 25%.
  • The additional enhanced Basic Attack greatly boosts Sigrid's DPS, especially in the Stun window where every attack's DMG is multiplied, M1 also provides Sigrid with an unconditional 25% ATK increase, making it a solid investment
M2: Legend's First Act
  • Rating: ★★★★ (Great)
  • Effect: Unbridled Spear and Basic Attack: Converging Spear DMG has 24% increased PEN Ratio. The duration of Aerial Patrol Spear is extended by 2s. Sigrid's Decibel Generation Rate increases by 10%.
  • Mindscape 2 provides Sigrid with an amazing 24% increased PEN Ratio on her main DMG-dealing skills, boosting her overall DMG significantly. Not to mention the increased Decibel Generation Rate, if you optimize your rotations, you might fit in one or more Ultimates in the same fight as without this buff.
M3: Protector of Miracles
  • Rating: ★★ (Decent)
  • Effect: Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
  • Basic and straight to the point. The only upgrade is a small increase in raw numbers.
M4: Hero in Training
  • Rating: ★★★ (Good)
  • Effect:Each time Aerial Patrol Spear is refreshed, DMG dealt increases by 18% for 8s. Repeated triggers extend the duration by 8s, up to a maximum of 40s.
  • Mindscape 4 is also very straightforward, a solid 18% increase in all DMG dealt with a forgiving uptime that you can easily keep active when played properly. The effects stop at that, however, so this Mindscape is a bit lacking compared to its peers, lowering its rating by a bit.
M5: Skybound Oath
  • Rating: ★★ (Decent)
  • Effect: Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2
  • Identical to Mindscape 3.
M6: Knight of the Skies
  • Rating: ★★★★★ (Best)
  • Effect: When Basic Attack: Converging Spear's 1st/2nd/3rd stage's final hit lands, it deals an additional 80%/90%/100% ATK as Ice DMG. There is no more limit on the number of times Sigrid can enter the Formation Breaker state upon hitting a Stunned enemy with Chain Attack: Encroaching Ice. Formation Breaker state's Basic Attack: Converging Spear will activate faster.
  • Mindscape 6 is easily Sigrid's best Mindscape. Having no limit on the number of times Sigrid can enter the Formation Breaker state is no joke, the raw DPS increase alone already wipes the floor with her other Mindscapes. Pair her with an Agent that can provide addtional Chain Attacks such as Norma and Astra Yao, and her performance will skyrocket.

Conclusion

Overall, Sigrid is an amazing Attack Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. Despite having to compete with other existing Ice Attack Agents, she still shines with her unique combo playstyle.
