Zenless Zone Zero 3.1 Release Date and Banners

To give a preview of what's happening in the new Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1, the anniversary patch, a livestream going over many new content was hosted on the official ZZZ channels across many platforms. However, due to the length of the livestream, many players just can't find the time to watch it in its entirety, and that's why we're here to give you a rundown on everything you need to pay attention to from the stream.

Version 3.1 Banners

This is the part many of us have been waiting for. To start off, Remielle's banner will last for the entire duration of Version 3.1. In the first half, Aria is getting a rerun. In the second half, we'll be getting both Sigrid's banner and the long-awaited Exclusive Rescreening banner where your first S-Rank Agent and W-Engine are guaranteed to be the ones you have chosen for, this banner features Dialyn, Yuzuha, and Harumasa.

New Playable Agents

With the release of Version 3.1, we'll be seeing 2 new faces on our Agent roster, Ramielle and Sigrid.

Remielle

Remielle is a S-Rank Lumiflux Anomaly Agent and one of the first seven people to be awarded the title of Void Hunter. Lumiflux is a special Attribute that takes on the Attribute of the next Agent in the party lineup, meaning she can always take advantage of enemies' Attribute weakness as long as you pair hair with an Agent that lines up with that Attribute.

Unlike traditional Anomaly characters, Remielle doesn't fill the Anomaly gauge gradually by dealing Lumiflux DMG. Instead, some of her attacks apply stacks of Lumiflux Buildup to the enemy, and when an enemy with Lumiflux Buildup enters an Anomaly state, Refringe is triggered, dealing heavy DMG.

Sigrid

Sigrid is a S-Rank Ice Attack Agent and the Deputy Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department. Her gameplay revolves around alternating between certain attacks to gain uses of her enhanced Basic Attack to deal high burst DMG. She can also parry enemy attacks with her shield via her first and second Basic Attack, negating DMG and refreshing her enhanced Basic Attack.

New Phaethon's Story Chapter

In Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1, we're going to dive deeper into Ramielle's past, explore Sigrid's character, meet up with new faces such as Claret, Lindverne Sunbringer, and Truvia, and also catch a glimpse at the first generation Void Hunters through Ramielle's fond memories, expanding the lore greatly for those who didn't watch the lore teaser video released even before the game.

With the new story also comes new areas for exploring, as well as a new exploration method. Instead of just controlling drones, we'll also be able to control Bangboo mechs that can turn into a rolling ball for faster transportation and for solving puzzles.

In Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1, we're getting many new events:

• Filmgoer Thank-You Gift: a spending event where you'll be able to claim many valuable prizes for topping up.
• Marcel Anniversary Gifts: the Second Anniversary event, where you'll get 1600 Polychromes, some cosmetics, and most importantly, one of few selected limited Agents for free: Lucia, Jane, Hugo, Soldier 0 - Anby, and Trigger, as well as one of the aforementioned Agents' Signature W-Engine.
• Phaethon's Grand Reveal of the Year: a recap event where your account's statistics will be revealed, accompanied with the reaction of familiar faces and a decent reward.
• Summer Waves Roll In: a summer event where you'll manage Fantasy Resort with new friends, offering great rewards, including a free skin for Lucy.
• Snap! Focus Showdown!: a combat event where you can take photos of your Agents during combat.
• Dangerous Fugitive's Leisurely Vacation: a casual event where you'll be taking photos with Remielle throughout Roscaelifer.
• Ding-Dong! Delivery Training in Progress: an event that works just like our familiar daily errands, where we can claim rewards each day by spending Battery charges.

New Deadly Assault Mode

Deadly Assault, a gamemode that serves as a final challenge for endgame players, is getting an even harder version, called the Adversity Mode, unlocked only after you've gotten all 9 stars on the normal mode. Do not fret if you're a casual player, this new gamemode is entirely optional and doesn't affect your pull count if you don't play it.

In the new Adversity Mode, there will only be one boss. However, the difficulty is increased significantly, as the boss becomes a lot tankier, performs new attacks, and may use different mechanics as well.

New Potential Unlocks (Character Buffs)

In Version 3.1, the following Agents will receive a new Potential Unlock upgrade: Jane, Nekomata, and Rina. These buffs are a saving grace to both new players and old players alike, bringing back old characters into combat. We'll also be able to try them out in the new Potential Hypothesis: Hunting Game Event.

New Custom Banner Loss Pool

In Version 3.1 and forward, we can now replace 3 standard Agents with 3 limited Agents: Yanagi, Zhu Yuan, and Caesar to be in the 50/50 loss pool. This means that if you don't get the Rate-Up Agent, you'll still get a chance to obtain older Agents you might not have yet. This also works with the W-Engine banners, where you can choose to lose to the Signature W-Engine of the 3 limited Agents.
