Tower of Adversity 2.8 Duration
Tower of Adversity 2.8 starts on December 8, 2025, and stays active until the reset on January 5, 2026.
ToA Introduction
Tower of Adversity is Wuthering Waves’ main endgame combat content: a set of timed challenge stages split into three towers - Resonant (left), Hazard (middle), and Echoing (right). Each tower has its own stage layout and enemy types, and you’re limited by a resource called Vigor, which controls how many times each Resonator can be used per reset.

Every character has 10 Vigor
Resonant Tower (left) & Echoing Tower (right) Vigor cost per stage:
Stage 1: 1 Vigor
Stage 2: 2 Vigor
Stage 3: 3 Vigor
Stage 4: 4 Vigor
Hazard Tower (middle): every stage costs 5 Vigor.
40 Vigors are needed to clear each ToA reset fully. Because of this, you realistically need at least 4 full teams to clear a full Tower of Adversity reset without running out of Vigor on your best teams.
Good Teams for Each Tower
For Resonant Tower (left), Stage 4 has 1 or 2 waves of mobs before the final boss, so it naturally favors AoE resonators. You want a main damage dealer who can quickly delete grouped enemies, backed up by one sub-DPS and one buffer/healer unit, so you can clean the early waves, then safely finish the boss within the timer.
For Echoing Tower (right), Stage 4 is a single boss wave, making it perfect for single-target resonators. Bring your best hypercarry focused on single target damage and pair them with their best in slot sub-DPS, and add a buffer/healer.
Hazard Tower (middle) is a mix of both: Stages 1 and 3 play like Echoing Tower with more single-target / boss fights, while Stages 2 and 4 are closer to Resonant Tower with mobs plus a final boss. Since every stage costs 5 Vigor, Hazard demands two strong, well-rounded teams that can handle both single-target and AoE content.
Vigor Usage Tips
The basic strategy is to spend your Vigor on the right fights. Use your “weak” or older resonators on Resonant and Echoing Stages 1–3, where the stages are easier, and you don’t need perfect comps. Save your best hypercarries and premium teams for Resonant/Echoing Stage 4 and all Hazard stages, since these are harder, cost more Vigor, and are where your strongest teams actually matter.

Recommended Teams
The current buff in Resonant Tower centers on healing and shielding, making teams with built-in sustain and wide AoE damage strong. The tower increases team ATK when anyone is healed and boosts Crit DMG while a Resonator has a shield, so resonators that keep shields up and apply frequent heals get the most value. Since Resonant Tower is a multi-wave fight with mobs leading into a boss, you want an on-field AoE DPS supported by a buffer/sub-DPS and a healer or shielder.

Recommended Teams
The current buff in Echoing Tower centers on Fusion teams and resonators who can repeatedly use Intro and Resonance Skills. Enemies have reduced Fusion RES, while the tower boosts ATK after Intros and Resonance Liberation DMG after Skills, so teams that cycle Intro - Skill - Liberation shine here. Mono-Fusion quick swap team, and standard hypercarry teams work really well.

Hazard Tower Stage 1 and 2 Recommended Teams
The buff in Hazard Tower 1 - 2 favors Havoc and Aero teams built around resonators that spam Basic Attacks. Enemies have Havoc RES and Aero RES reduced by 10%, while Spectro RES and Glacio RES are increased by 10%, so avoid Spectro/Glacio resonators and lean into Havoc/Aero resonators. All teams gain +20% Crit DMG, and dealing Basic Attack DMG grants +5% All-Attribute DMG (up to 8 stacks, 40%) that disappears when you swap, so choose your resonators that weave lots of Basic Attacks during their rotations

Hazard 3 - 4 heavily favors Echo-focused teams and resonators that apply Negative Status. Enemies start with high All-Attribute RES that you peel off by casting different Echo Skills, while the tower greatly increases Echo DMG taken (+40%) and Negative Status DMG (+60%), and also builds Crest Enhancement stacks with each unique Echo Skill, up to +40% total DMG. On top of that, your total DMG ramps by 5% every 5 seconds after 60 seconds, so longer fights heavily reward well-scaling teams. You want lineups that can safely stay on-field, rotate through multiple Echo Skills, and apply Negative Status (like Chisa comps), turning those stacked buffs into huge damage for the Hazard 3 - 4 bosses.
