Qingxiao Gameplay and Playstyle

Qingxiao is an Aero Sword Main DPS, specializing in Tune Strain application and Mindlock stacking for massive personal damage. Her gameplay revolves around cycling between Sheathed Stance and Drawn Stance Basic Attacks to build resources and unlock her strongest Heavy Attacks.

In Sheathed Stance, Qingxiao builds Qin Heart through Basic Attacks. In Drawn Stance, she builds Sword Cadence instead. Once both are full, her Heavy Attack consumes them and sends her into Ephemeral Transcendence, unlocking an enhanced Basic Attack and Dodge Counter that build toward her strongest Heavy Attack follow-up.

Qingxiao's damage scales through Mindlock, a stacking debuff applied whenever teammates inflict Tune Strain - Interfered on a target. Her Inherent Skills convert defeated Mindlock targets into bonus stacks and grant extra debuff application whenever a teammate lands a Tune Break, making her damage scale hard the more Tune Strain support she gets.

Qingxiao's biggest strength is her Resonance Liberation, which deals a massive nuke and sets up a 100% DMG boost on her next Heavy Attack. Her Outro Skill also hits hard on its own, dealing damage equal to 800% of her ATK.

Qingxiao Best Weapons

Qingxiao is an Aero Sword Main DPS whose damage primarily comes from Mindlock-amplified Heavy Attacks and Aero DMG. When choosing the best weapons for Qingxiao in Wuthering Waves, prioritize those that provide Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and ATK.

Weapons that boost Aero DMG or DEF ignore are especially valuable for maximizing Qingxiao's damage output. Her signature weapon Cloud Jasper is her best-in-slot option, as it stacks Aero DMG Bonus each time she applies Tune Strain - Shifting, eventually extending the buff duration and granting bonus DEF ignore at max stacks. For players without her signature weapon, Red Spring is a strong 5-star alternative that boosts Basic Attack DMG through consistent hits, while Emerald of Genesis provides reliable ATK scaling on Resonance Skill casts. Qingxiao Best Echo Set

Heart of Evil's Purge is Qingxiao's best Echo set. The 2-Piece Bonus grants +10% Aero DMG, while the 5-Piece Bonus increases her Crit. DMG by 20% and Aero DMG Bonus by 30% for 15s upon inflicting Tune Strain - Shifting. Since Qingxiao consistently applies Tune Strain - Shifting on her skill hits, she can reliably trigger and maintain this bonus throughout her rotation. If Heart of Evil's Purge is not yet available, Sierra Gale works as a solid early-game alternative for players who still have Mengzhou locked.

Qingxiao Best Team Comps

Qingxiao performs best with teammates who can consistently apply Tune Strain - Shifting and land Tune Breaks, as this directly fuels Mindlock stacking and amplifies her overall damage output. Since her damage is spread fairly evenly across her skills rather than concentrated in her Liberation, she leans more toward Denia as her best Tune Strain support, since Denia's buffs are more universal across her whole kit. Lynae is a strong second option, though her buffs lean more toward amplifying Resonance Liberation DMG, which benefits Qingxiao less given her even damage distribution. Pairing her with a healer or buffer that provides ATK, Crit Rate, Crit DMG, or Aero DMG Bonus in the third slot will further maximize her effectiveness as a Main DPS.

Casting Heavy Attack - Stringblade now inflicts 6 stacks of Mindlock on nearby targets.

The Gathered Mind effect of Inherent Skill - Sea of Thought, World of Dust now inflicts 2 stacks of Tune Strain - Interfered.
