Aalto Gameplay and Playstyle

Aalto is an Aero Pistol resonator who functions as a DPS or a Sub-DPS, specializing in taunting enemies and amplifying Aero DMG for the team. His gameplay revolves around deploying Mist and the Gate of Quandary to empower his attacks and generate Mist Missiles through his Forte Circuit.

Aalto builds Mist Drops by passing his Basic Attacks or Mid-air Attacks through Mist, recovering 1 Mist Drop per hit. When he passes through Mist or his Gate of Quandary, he enters Mistcloak Dash, consuming Mist Drops to continuously fire Mist Missiles that deal Aero DMG. His Resonance Skill: Shift Trick deploys both Mist and a Mist Avatar that taunts nearby enemies and generates additional Mist Bullets, keeping enemies occupied while he sets up his rotation.

His Resonance Liberation: Flower in the Mist creates a Gate of Quandary that deals Aero DMG and increases ATK whenever bullets pass through it for 10s. While his Liberation requires a high 150 Resonance Energy to cast, it provides a strong damage window and synergizes directly with his Mistcloak Dash mechanics.

Aalto's biggest strength lies in his Outro Skill: Dissolving Mist, which grants the incoming Resonator 23% Aero DMG Deepen for 14s. This makes him an excellent pick for any Aero Main DPS such as Jiyan or Iuno, significantly amplifying their damage output during their on-field time.

Forte Circuit	★★★★ (High)	After upgrading his Basic Attack and Resonance Skill, prioritize this next as it also increases Mist Missile damage, which Aalto uses frequently during Mistcloak Dash.
Resonance Liberation	★★★ (Mid)	Upgrading Resonance Liberation only increases its direct damage output. It does not increase the ATK buff provided by the Gate of Quandary, making it a lower priority.
Intro Skill	★ (Low)	Can be skipped; the damage scaling is not that good.

Aalto Best Weapons

Aalto's damage comes mostly from Basic Attack and Resonance Skill. When choosing the best weapons for Aalto, go for weapons that provide CRIT STATS, ATK, and Resonance Skill DMG Bonus or Basic Attack DMG Bonus.

The Last Dance is his best-in-slot option, as its passive directly increases Resonance Skill DMG Bonus after casting Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation, synergizing perfectly with his rotation. For players without it, Static Mist and Woodland Aria are strong 5-star alternatives, while Undying Flame, Relativistic Jet, and Thunderbolt are reliable 4-star options.

2nd	Woodland Aria (5★)	Base ATK: 500 Bonus Stat: 36% Crit Rate Lingering Summer Tune (R1): ATK is increased by 12%. Inflicting Aero Erosion on the target gives 24% Aero DMG Bonus for 10s. Hitting targets with Aero Erosion reduces their Aero RES by 10% for 20s. Effects of the same name cannot be stacked.

1st	Undying Flame (4★)	Base ATK: 413 Bonus Stat: 30.4% ATK Loyalty(R5): When Intro Skill is cast, increases Resonance Skill DMG Bonus by 40% for 15s.
2nd	Relativistic Jet (4★)	Base ATK: 463 Bonus Stat: 18.2% ATK Intergalactic Gaze (R5): Casting the Resonance Skill grants 10 Resonance Energy and increases ATK by 20%, lasting for 16s. This effect can be triggered once every 20s.
3rd	Thunderbolt (4★)	Base ATK: 388 Bonus Stat: 36.5% ATK Unstoppable (R5): When hitting a target with Basic Attacks or Heavy Attacks, increases Resonance Skill DMG Bonus by 23%, stacking up to 3 time(s). This effect lasts for 10s and can be triggered 1 time(s) every 1s.

Aalto Best Echo Set

Moonlit Clouds is Aalto's best Echo set. The 2-Piece Bonus grants +10% Energy Regen, helping him meet the high energy demands of his Resonance Liberation. The 5-Piece Bonus increases the ATK of the next Resonator by 22.5% after casting Outro Skill, complementing his role as an Aero DMG amplifier for the team. Since Aalto frequently rotates through his Outro Skill, he can consistently activate this bonus. For players preferring DPS Aalto, Sierra Gale is a strong alternative that boosts his personal Aero DMG output. Windward Pilgrimage is a situational option best used when pairing Aalto with Ciaccona.

The Resonator with this Echo equipped in the main slot gains 10.00% Aero DMG Bonus. When Resonator: Aero or Cartethyia equips this Echo, they gain 10.00% more Aero DMG Bonus. CD: 20s.

Reason: Improves the Mist Avatar's survivability and grants a solid personal ATK boost when attacking taunted enemies. A good chain for both his support and DPS roles.

S3: Hazey Transition

Rating: ★★★★★ (Very Good)
Effect: When Aalto's Basic Attack or Mid-air Attack passes through the Mist, 2 more bullets will be generated, dealing 50% of the DMG of Basic Attack or Mid-air Attack.
Reason: Greatly increase his on-field damage by adding extra bullets during his Mistcloak Dash. One of his strongest personal DPS upgrades.

Rating: ★★★ (Good)
Effect: The damage of Resonance Skill Mist Bullets is increased by 30%; Aalto receives 30% less damage in his Forte Circuit Mistcloak Dash state.
Reason: Boosts one of his core damage sources while improving his survivability during Mistcloak Dash. A well-rounded chain that benefits both his offense and defense.

S5: Aplause of the Lost

Rating: ★★★★ (Very Good)
Effect: In the Forte Circuit Mistcloak Dash state, Aalto's Aero DMG Bonus is increased by 25% for 6s.
Reason: A strong personal damage boost that directly amplifies his most active combat state. Pairs well with S1 and S3 to push his on-field DPS considerably higher.

S6: Broker's Secret

Rating: ★★★ (Mid)
Effect: Resonance Liberation Flower in the Mist now additionally increases Crit. Rate by 8%. When Aalto's Heavy Attack passes through the Gate of Quandary, the damage dealt is additionally increased by 50%.
Reason: Significantly elevates his personal DPS ceiling by adding Crit. Rate to his Liberation and massively boosting his Heavy Attack damage through the Gate of Quandary. Makes Aalto a much more competitive on-field DPS option.
