After four Showdown SBCs for PSG vs Chelsea and Newcastle vs Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League Round-of-16, we have more for the second leg! EA has been cooking with these SBCs because of how cheap they are to complete and how good the cards can all become with their potential upgrades.
This week’s SBCs are especially cheap, and you could easily complete them since they don’t need much fodder. But if you’re trying to save your fodder for biggest SBCs or just don’t have any to spare right now, here’s who we recommend picking from this week’s UCL Showdown SBCs in FC 26. Or you can skip the decision and get both by getting enough FC 26 coins for fodder from LootBar.

Our Recommended Pick From This Week’s UCL Showdown SBCs
This week, there’s only one game in focus, which is Liverpool vs Galatasaray. That means there are only two SBCs, which are between Liverpool’s latest star talent LM/LW Rio Ngumoha, and Galatasaray’s CB wall Abdülkerim Bardakcı. Both SBCs only require 50k of fodder, so it’s well worth doing both of them if you’ve got the fodder to spare. But if you don’t, we recommend completing Rio Ngumoha for a few different reasons.
Why You Should Pick Ngumoha
Based on initial stats and Playstyles, Bardakcı looks like the better card out of the two. But, Ngumoha is a lot likelier to get the upgrade. Even though Liverpool aren’t on the best form lately, having lost to Galatasaray in the first leg and not even managing a win against Tottenham, who are abysmal this season, Anfield on a European night isn’t going to be easy for Gala to walk away victorious from.
With Quick Step+, Technical+, base Low Driven, Finesse, Incisive, Tiki Taka, First Touch, and Trickster along with 5✰ SM, he’s got all the right tools to be a great Inside Forward on LW. His 94 Pace is great and will be even better with a +2-OVR upgrade, as well as 90 Dribbling which could get even better. But his shooting (85) and passing (85) are a bit low for this stage of the game, and definitely need the upgrades to take him to the next-level.
So despite the slight risk because of Liverpool’s bad form in real life, Ngumoha is a much better investment because of how perfect his Playstyles are. He’d be amazing as a super-sub, even if he doesn’t fit into your team. A potential winger with 96 Pace and Quick Step+ would be great at the end of each game. And even if he doesn’t get the upgrade, he’s 88-OVR with high potential to fit future evos that could improve his shooting and passing.
If you use a Premier League team or any squad that Ngumoha can fit into, don’t make the mistake of skipping this SBC. For only 50k, you get an amazing impact-sub that could get even better, or a really cheap investment for future evos that’s sure to pay off. The only real issue with this card after upgrades is no silver Rapid and 4✰ WF, but you can’t expect perfection for 50k.
Abdülkerim Bardakcı is Still A Good Option, Though
Even without upgrades, Bardakcı’s card is great if you take a look at it. 85 Pace, 85 Passing, 88 Defending, 92 Physicality, and 5✰ WF. The biggest thing is his Playstyles though. He’s got Intercept+ and Bruiser+, which is by far the best combination for CBs currently. He also has silver/base Anticipate, Slide Tackle, Aerial Fortress, Jockey, Long Ball, and Pinged Pass.
With upgrades that would make his face stats even more meta, the only thing ths card is missing is base Block. Other than that, he’s a very meta-CB that’s only as cheap as he is because of Galatasaray’s low chances of getting a win in the second leg. Even if you want to bet on Gala getting the win though, the main problem is how hard he is to link.
Unless you have a bunch of Icons or run a Turkish Süper Lig team, it’ll be impossible to get Bardakcı on full chem. So even though he’s a really good card that already plays well in-game, we don’t recommend doing this SBC unless you can guarantee he’ll have full chemistry. Ngumoha is the much better option and our choice. Get him or even better FC 26 players through LootBar at the best prices.
Conclusion
These Showdown SBCs have been lots of fun, and EA have even added another one for the Carabao Cup final between City and Arsenal. But, sticking to the UCL, Ngumoha has the potential to be one of the best deals in recent SBC-history because of how much evo potential he has for only 50k. Don’t miss out on completing his SBC, and buy FC 26 coins from LootBar if you need the fodder to do him or Bardakcı!
