Where Winds Meet, or WWM, has just launched The Heng Blade (Tang Dao style). In Patch 1.5, it has emerged as more than just a weapon. Unlike the Thundercry Greatsword or the Twinblades, the Heng Blade is a reactive powerhouse that shines even more if you perfect its timing. If you want to stay on top at the Sacred Trial or the Heroic Raids, you need this weapon. It can give you a build that leverages the new Stonesplit Strength synergy. In this guide, we talk about all things related to Heng Blade, its skills, combos and the "Heng-Mo" hybrid setup.

How To Unlock the Heng Blade?
The Heng Blade is introduced in the Liangzhou snow region expansion. It is tied to the Stonesplit Strength martial path. This weapon is not found in any chest but through your choice of steel.
- Snowparting Blade: This is the traditional Tang Dao variant. Obtaining it immediately unlocks the primary Heng Blade martial art.
- Phalanxbane Blade: This is the new Mo Blade variant. While it looks like a heavy polearm, it shares the same Stonesplit DNA. Picking this up also unlocks the Heng Blade style.
If you are running low, you can do the Where Winds Meet top up from LootBar to replenish your in-game funds.
Why Heng-Mo?
Without any additions, the Heng Blade is merely a mid-tier DPS. Even though it is safe and reliable for its parry skill, it lacks the potential to nuke. Therefore, to fix this, you can use the Mo Blade as a secondary weapon. All you have to do is swap to it to trigger Anxi Soldier summons and damage buffs before switching back to your Tang Dao for the main fight.
Heng Blade Skills
The Heng Blade's kit is designed around two things:
- Parry Mastery
- Charged Burst
Active Skills
- Heng-Parry Counter: This is the main skill you should use. If you successfully perform a Heng-parry, it will reset your attack chain and grant a stack of Stonesplit Focus.
- Lunar Arc - Charged Strike: If you hold your heavy attack, you enter a drawing stance. Once the charge is full, you can unleash a horizontal slash that cleaves through armor. In Patch 1.5, this skill gains a 20% damage bonus if triggered immediately after a parry.
- Mo Blade Summon: When you swap to your secondary Phalanxbane, you can trigger a ghost attack. Mo Blade is a phantom soldier who strikes the ground. It applies a "Sunder" debuff to the boss that increases the damage of your next three Heng Blade strikes.
Passive Skills
For the passives, you should focus on Endurance Recovery and Stun Damage. Since parrying is your main playstyle while using a Heng Blade, ensure that your endurance bar is filled so you never get guard-broken.
The Best Rotation for Heng Blade
If you want to achieve S-tier DPS in this patch with this weapon, you have to keep up with a certain rotation. This will allow you to buff your attacks.
For PvE Boss Opener
- First, use the Phalanxbane Active to summon the Mo Blade phantom.
- Switch to the Snowparting Blade to trigger a "Switch Strike" that counts as a parry frame.
- Hold your heavy attack during the swap animation to unleash a 100% charged strike the moment you land.
- Stay in Heng stance and wait for the red "Glance" indicator on the boss.
- Parry > Light Attack > Light Attack > Charged Heavy.
For PvP Combo
Here is the best rotation you can use for PvP Combo:
- Rope Dart Pull > Swap to Heng Blade > Lunar Arc (Half Charge) > Dash Cancel > Stonesplit Thrust.
This prevents the enemy from using their Escape skill as it keeps them in a constant state of hit-stun.
Best Setup: Inner Ways, Stats, Gear, and Consumables
Your Inner Way decides your stat scaling. For a Heng Blade build, Invigorated Warrior is the best. However, getting it to Tier 6 is mandatory for the endgame.
At T6, you gain an 8% raw damage bonus while an enemy is marked. Below T6, if you take damage, this buff gets removed. This is why reaching T6 is important because even if the marked enemy hits you, the buff stays active. This makes the Heng Blade's parry-heavy playstyle incredibly safe. It also maintains maximum damage.
How To Unlock?
- Travel to the Sparrow Sutra Hall in the western ruins and solve the multi-layered combat puzzle.
- First, you have to find and kill 17 small mechanical birds. They are scattered across four stone levels. You can use stealth for the birds on the upper tiers.
- Once all 17 are dead, a mirror will spawn in the central hall. If you touch it, you get pulled into a duel with a spectral version of yourself using the Heng Blade.
- If you defeat the reflection, it gives Throatpiercing Art and Wildfire Surge.
Best Stats and Gears
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Attribute Priority | Focus everything on Stonesplit Strength.Primary: Strength (Impact and Raw Damage).Secondary: Agility (Parry Window and Critical Rate).Tertiary: Qi (Endurance Pool for sustained blocking). |
| Best Gear Set | The Anxi Vanguard Set is the best gear for the Heng Blade build.2-Piece Bonus: Increases Stonesplit martial art damage by 15%.4-Piece Bonus: Successful parries reduce the cooldown of your "Summon" skill by 2 seconds. |
Some Additional Tips
- Don't Camp the Parry: If you hold the parry button too long, your Focus bar drains. Tap it rhythmically. Perfect Deflects actually restore a small amount of health if you have the Sutram of Life passive equipped.
- Animation Canceling: You can cancel the end-lag of a Lunar Arc by using a Dash or a Mystic Skill. This is vital in PvP to avoid being punished after a big swing.
- The Environment Factor: In the 1.5 Liangzhou snow region, cold weather affects your endurance. Always keep a Warm Liquor consumable active. It prevents the Frostbite debuff, which would otherwise slow your parry animations by 15%.
If you are planning to get a limited outfit, you can buy Where Winds Meet Echo Beads.
Conclusion
The Heng Blade is a weapon that can make it super easy for you to clear the WWM content if used wisely. Pair it with the Snowparting Blade with the Phalanxbane Support and master the Anxi summons. Then, focus on reaching Tier 6 Invigorated Warrior. Also, equip the right gear for additional buffs. Once you master this build, you can be unstoppable!
As you refine your build and push into endgame content like Sacred Trials and Heroic Raids, preparation becomes just as important as skill. If you want to stay ahead with the best gear and resources, LootBar make it easy to top up Where Winds Meet, helping you fully maximize the potential of your Heng Blade setup.
