Pokémon TCG continues to introduce new cards for players to collect through permanent pack sets. While every pack has a handful of cards that players can roll for whenever they want, things are slated to be slightly different with the new Deluxe Pack ex set. Being specifically for collecting rare and deluxe versions of cards, it’s important to know everything about this pack set before deciding whether to roll for it.

How is the Deluxe Pack ex set different in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Becoming available on September 30, 2025, the Deluxe Pack ex in Pokémon TCG Pocket is significantly different from every other previous set. For starters, it only has a limited release. Unlike the other sets that can still be interacted with even months after their release, the Deluxe Pack ex set will go away on September 30, 2025, giving players exactly a month to collect all of the cards they want. Of course, this means that LootBar will be the best way to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the awesome cards.
The good news is that all of this doesn’t mean that the pack won’t be offered in the future. According to the trailer, it seems as though the pack will return at a later date, though it’s unknown if the offered cards will be any different.
As for what the new pack is known for, it’s important to note that there are no brand-new cards in the set. Instead, as the name suggests, the Deluxe Pack ex has reprints from earlier sets with new art and illustrations, making them more attractive than their original counterparts.
Also, while every pack only contains four cards each instead of the usual five, players are guaranteed to get at least one card of 4 Diamond rarity or higher every time they pull. This does make sense because of the limited availability.
Does the Deluxe Pack ex set have pack points?
While many assumed that the Deluxe Pack ex set in Pokémon TCG Pocket wouldn’t have pack points, that isn’t the case. This limited-time set gives pack points just as any other set would, letting players trade these points in for their favorite cards. It’s unknown if these points will carry forward if this set ever returns in the future, especially since it’s fairly difficult to collect enough pack points to acquire the rarer cards in the set in such a short amount of time.

Now, this new set has multiple cards that players can acquire, from cards with the parallel foil effect to just regular reprints of older cards. However, a total of 26 cards feature completely new artwork and are the highlights of this set. They include the following:

The updated deluxe arts are significant deviations from the original art, especially for iconic cards like Professor Oak's Research, which is used in multiple decks. It’s important to note that, despite the change in art, the actual effects and other stats of every card remain the same. This means that a Lusamine with the original art will do the same thing as this Lusamine card, even if it’ll look much more deluxe.

Thanks to that, it may be tough for players to get all of the cards they want within the time limit. Fortunately, LootBar can help ensure that players can get all the cards they want, plus more.
Conclusion
This concludes everything to know about the new Pokémon TCG Pocket Deluxe Pack ex set. While there have been some mixed responses to this set, it can’t be argued that it contains some awesome card artworks that anyone would want.
