4.8 BANNERS
There are five characters who have not entered the rerun banner for a long time: Wriothesley, Navia, Shenhe, Nilou, and Kokomi. Nilou and Kirara are the two characters who are going to receive a new outfit in version 4.8. Both of their skins will be four-star. The design of Nilou's outfit will be a princess costume style and horns may be replaced by other headdresses. Like other 5-star character skins, Nilou's skin will cost 1680 Genesis Crystals as usual. As for Kirara's skin, considering the fact that Genshin Impact provides a 4-star skin for free every four updates, it's confirmed that we will receive Kirara's outfit for free by participating the main event of version 4.8.
LIMITED-TIME MAPS
All the previous summer events have taken place on limited-time maps, and the version 4.8 update is no exception. The main theme of the new map design will be based on a fairy-tale forest instead of a small island like version 1.8 and version 2.8. In addition, this forest-themed map is speculated to be larger than previous summer event maps, so we will probably get more primogems than usual in 4.8. Futhermore, the new map will be divided into three massive areas to explore, each with a different style but be based on the same concept. As for the event quest, it is said to be related to fairy tales and Wanderer.
RUNNING EFFECT DEBUT
It is expected to be another new permanent event in 4.8. And for the reward, characters like Diluc, Kirara, Ningguang, Qiqi, and Jean will be able to obtain running effect. Presumably all characters will get an effect like this in the following updates. And to unlock this new event, we will need some keys from the Imaginarium Theater.
