Team of The Week 16 in FC 26 is headlined mostly by Premier League stars who all had great games after the Holidays. There’s a good selection of players this time around, including a few that are low rated but have high potential for evos later on, like Man United’s 84-Rated Dorgu who earned a spot after his surprisingly good volley against Newcastle on Boxing Day.
But, even he’s not among the very best cards from this week’s selection. If you want to know our top picks, keep reading as we rank the best cards from Team of The Week 16 in FC 26. The Top 4 Cards From Team of The Week 16 in FC 26
90-Rated Florian Wirtz
Saying that Wirtz had a slow start to life in Liverpool isn’t a controversial opinion. Premier League’s all-time record signing didn’t even manage to get a goal after nearly half the season. But now he has 2 G/A in his last 2 games, and has rightfully earned a card in TOTW after his amazing performance vs Wolves. And that card is easily the best one from this week, with amazing passing, dribbling, and good shooting which all combine with his playstyles to make a really good CAM.
Wirtz has Incisive Pass+, base Low Driven and Finesse, as well as other good playstyles. Plus he’s got 82 Pace, 84 Shooting which feels much nicer thanks to those playstyles of his, 89 Passing, and 91 Dribbling. Along with all that and Playmaker++, this card is a perfect fit for CAM in any Prem squad looking for a new creator. His through balls are crazy good, and at 160k he’s not overpriced for a CAM with easy links, good stats, and meta Playstyles.
85-Rated Rayan Cherki
Cherki is easily one of the best players in the Premier League right now, and is arguably the most “fun” card in all of TOTW 16. That’s because he has 5* Weak Foot and Skill Moves, 91 Dribbling, Trickster+, and just plays so well at CAM. Even though his main position is RM, 81 Pace, 81 Shooting, 85 Passing with base Incisive, and really good dribbling make him better suited as a CAM instead.
But the most fun thing of all is just how many crazy evo chains this card already has. The Glacial Creator evolution, chained with some smaller evos, give Cherki crazy good pace, passing, shooting, and even physicality to go along with his insane dribbling. If you’re a City fan or abuse skill moves in FC 26, this card is a steal at 24k with how good its evo chains are already.
85-Rated Pierre Kalulu
Kalulu has always been a super popular option in Ultimate Team because of his high pace, which is rare for CBs. Him and Tomori were such a popular combination in previous titles, and this upgraded TOTW card brings him back into the spotlight in FC 26. With 85 Pace, 86 Defending, 81 Physicality, his face stats are nice as it is.
He even has amazing Playstyles like Intercept+, base Anticipate, Block, and Quick Step (which is so good for defensive recoveries), and Defender++. All this plus the fact that he’s only 85 OVR, which makes him perfect for evo potential, are why Kalulu is a top pick from TOTW 16 despite only being 18k on the market currently.
88-Rated Martin Odegaard
Odegaard’s TOTW card has 83 Pace, 89 Passing, and 88 Dribbling along with 5* Skill Moves that make him so good as a playmaker. And he has 83 Shooting, which actually feels way better when you’re spamming that Low Driven+ he has which is just so, so good this year. On top of arguably the best Playstyle+, he also has base Incisive, Pinged Pass, Inventive, Technical, and First Touch which are all just perfect for a CAM. Give him Engine chem to give him a much-needed pace boost, while also improving his already great passing and dribbling.
The only real downside to Odegaard’s card, and the reason why it’s outside the top 3, is that Odegaard only has 3* Weak Foot, which can be an issue. But, base Inventive bails him out a lot of times. And even so, he’s a lot better than the rest from TOTW, which you can see below. If you want any of them, including the better ones from our list, you can get FC 26 players from LootBar for cheap.
Conclusion
Team of the Week 16 is definitely a step up after the disastrous selection in Week 15. There are some big names from top clubs that have strong links and really good evo potential. You can get Wirtz, Odegaard, Dorgu, Cherki, Kalulu, or any of the other cards from this week without needing to worry about coins. Just buy FC 26 coins from LootBar and afford any player in the market.
