A Quick Rundown of The New Events and Systems

The season timeline runs from October 13 to December 15, with the Glory War beginning on November 4, followed by the finale on December 9 and the tally ending on December 15, leading into the migration and celebration phases. We’ll know more about what exactly the Glory War and Finale bring once they get closer.

For now, there are a few different special events to keep things fresh throughout Season 5 of Dark War Survival. The Lucky Cat event allows players to discover a small cat once per day using Light Bearing troops for a chance at rewards. There are also Tracer Sites let all players from the same state share exploration rewards. Both of these are fun ways for players to get some extra rewards throughout the Sealed Event storyline.

But the main attraction is the Blood Moon Shroud, which shows up multiple times daily. When the Blood Moon Shroud is active, monsters mutate. They get stronger, faster, and a lot tougher to handle. But that’s not even the worst of it for players looking to survive.

The biggest gameplay twist this season is the Miasma system during Blood Moon Shroud, which replaces the previous Ice Ball Stack mechanic from Season 4. But unlike the Ice Ball Stack, this new version adds some serious danger. Miasma stack is a debuff that grows with each attack and reaches critical levels at 100 stacks.

New Enemies and Rewards For Beating Them

Unlike Season 4, which had three, this time there’s only one new normal enemy, which is the Rotting Oni. There’s also a new seasonal rally enemy, which is the Booze Brute. Both enemies are based on the Dark War Survival Season 5 theme of Japanese folklore. Beating either of them for the first time will get you some extra seasonal rewards.

But, more importantly, if you keep beating these seasonal enemies, you’ll rack up Influence Points. These will get you Influence Chests once you have points, which are filled with some gear and coins that can help you prepare for this season.

Season Rewards Menu in Dark War Survival

Other than that, season rewards are mostly the same as they’ve always been. You can get extra rewards from weekly passes and other optional tiers as well. But, this time, there aren’t any recruitment tickets. That means if you want the new heroes, you’ll have to buy them directly from the store this season.

The New Heroes and Their Abilities

There are three new S-rank heroes in Season 5 of Dark War Survival. All of them have the same abilities that give a similar damage increase and teammate buffs. But all three of them provide a specific buff to other heroes on your team. Here’s some more info about them.

S-Rank Fighter: Angela

The newest Fighter is Angela, and she gives a 10% HP boost to all other Fighters on your team.

S-Rank Rider: Ryan

Ryan is the latest S-Rank Rider and is probably the coolest-looking character in the game so far. Like Angela, he gives a 10% HP boost, but to Riders instead.

S-Rank Shooter: Shadow

This season’s new S-Rank Shooter is Shadow. He gives a 10% HP boost to all other Shooters on your team.

All of the new heroes have high attack and decent defense stats. Their skills and HP boost make it look like they’ll fit nicely into the meta, especially Ryan, as Riders lack some great options. But Dark War Survival doesn’t make it easy to get these new heroes. Even Seasonal Rewards don’t offer recruitment tickets, so you need to get the new picks directly from the store if you want to add them to your troop.
