Breaking Down the Teaser
The teaser is small but impactful, there’s a scene with Kyle Crane (protagonist of Dying Light: The Beast) drowning in water he looks unconscious then a figure grabs his arm and pulls him out, that is revealed to be the PUBG mascot (guy with white shirt, black tie and pants with level 3 helmet, both Kyle and him are hiding in a room and he signals Kyle to be quite as a zombie growls nearby. There’s no dialogue but the atmosphere is loaded with tension and really captures the essence of Dying Light. This is a small teaser but explains what’s about to some with the awesome collab!
What’s Coming with the Update
This collab will go live on October 31, 2025 and this time I don’t well be getting a simple zombie mode, a collab this big means they are cooking something huge up. Now PUBG has done zombie themed modes before but they will definitely go all out for something this big!
Dying Light is famous for its intense gameplay with terrifying night chases, awesome parkour mechanics and almost real like melee and gore physics. Many fans think those ideas will shape how this event plays out. There’s talk of new night missions or survival rounds where players have to make it till dawn while fighting through waves of infected. Some leaks even mention “Dark Zones” sections of Erangel or Livik turned into overrun quarantine areas where loot is high but risk is higher.
This kind of mode fits perfectly with Dying Light’s theme, moving through tight spaces, scavenging supplies, and trying not to get cornered when things go south. The crossover might also feature limited missions and themed rewards, something PUBG does well. Expect survival-based objectives, crate rewards, and exclusive skins tied to Crane and The Beast theme.
This crossover also arrives as part of PUBG Mobile’s October content wave, positioning it as the season’s biggest feature event. Given the fan demand for more horror-themed content, Dying Light: The Beast seems poised to deliver exactly that a nightmarish twist on familiar battlegrounds.
We might some gameplay elements from Dying Light like Kyle’s iconic grapple hook that allows him to swing from rooftop to rooftop, pull enemies closer or to climb up to higher places. Adding this hook could’ve 100% make for some interesting and exciting gameplay strategies indeed.
What to Expect from Cosmetics and Rewards
No skins or items have been officially shown yet, but PUBG’s pattern with past collaborations gives a strong idea of what’s coming. You can however expect cosmetics from Dying Light crossover like Kyle Survival Outfit or zombies themed skins for weapons and such.
We could also see parkour-style emotes, melee weapon reskins such as crowbars, machetes, or UV-light blades, and even interactive items like throwable flares or UV grenades. Given Dying Light’s heavy focus on melee combat and movement, this collaboration could push PUBG Mobile to introduce new in-match actions or animations tied to melee engagement, a thrilling shake-up to the usual gunplay meta.
Fans are also predicting themed parachutes, backpacks, and vehicles, imagine an armored buggy wrapped in hazard tape or a “Night Runner” themed glider cutting through a blood-red sky. These cosmetics, along with limited-time crates and event missions, will likely reward players with Dying Light-themed gear as they complete challenges. As the collaboration trailer teases “survive the night,” it’s clear the event’s focus will be on tension, stealth, and cinematic horror.
This collab will bring a ton of content both paid and free so, better to be stocked up UC by getting it from LootBar and be on the safer side.
Final Thoughts
The PUBG Mobile × Dying Light: The Beast crossover still doesn’t feel real, I finished this game like 2 weeks ago and it collaborating with everyone’s favorite battle royale feels surreal. With new skins, modes, or story events, one thing’s certain this time, nightfall on the battlegrounds won’t be easy to survive.
