Who’s Nailong? And Why is He so Smol?
Nailong is a small and cuddly yellow dinosaur or dragon that’s very popular among East-Asian countries. This character also has his own TV series that is enjoyed by many kids and adults alike. Nailong is very care-free character and is the embodiment of living life with as much enjoyment as he can. He does this by going on adventures with friends while making more friends along the way and also teaching some good valuable lessons along the way.
But what is he doing is PUBG Mobile? With the success of the recent Free Fire x Nailong Collab, I’m pretty sure Tencent wanted to cash in on this opportunity as well and there’s nothing wrong in that as in the end, we the players are getting more content out of our favorite game.
Nailong’s Role in PUBG Mobile
Nailong is coming to PUBG Mobile as a companion along with some cosmetic releases as well. Leaks of Nailong along with the player doing funny dancing emotes have been leaked online which looks like a funny thing you can show off to friends if you decide to get the collab items. Here’s some of the stuff to look out for:
· Nailoong Companion: Adding a small Nailong companions that does multiple emotes, including doing a dancing emote, doing an emote where he wear a level 3 helmet and an emote where he breathes fire, guess we can confirm he’s a dragon not a dinosaur.
· Sweet Nailong Set: This a fun yellow summer themed outfit that’s for the female player model, it’s like a summer dress with yellow shorts and a small nailing buddy hanging Infront of the body, the whole outfit is Nailong inspired.
· Sweet Nailong Cover: This is a head accessory that give the player sunglasses, a head cap hanging from the neck and band on the hair with a small nailong on the headband itself, I also forgot to add that this one comes with a different hairstyle baked in as well.
· Nailong Backpack: Okay, so there’s 3 levels to this one, at the first one we get a giant egg with Nailongs eye showing through a crack in the egg, for the second one we get Nailong’s head poking out of the egg with the shell on top of his head and his arms are out and he has a dumb expression on his face, and lastly for the third one we get Nailong almost out of the shell where’s he’s fast asleep with his mouth open, very cute looking backpack designs that I really dig.
· Companion Garb: Your other companions also get a Nailong themed cosmetic, it’s a small blanket that wraps around the head and has Nailong siting over the head.
Do We Get a Weapon Skin with this Collab?
From what we’ve seen from the leaks we definitely do get a weapon skin, the “Cuddly Nailong - Mk14”. This skin looks very Nailong coded, the gun itself looks like is splathered with fluffy sunny side eggs for the un-upgraded version, it has a distinct bubbly look to it. For the upgraded version Nailong can be seen sleeping on top the handle of the gun with eggs all over it. This also comes with a death-crate animation that shows small Nailong ghosts coming out of the death-crate.The bullet hit effects also looks very nice and Nailong coded again. The MK14 skin looks like something we’ve never seen before, every skin we seen so far has been very serious, this looks like something out a child’s playbook.
Expected Drop Date?
While no solid date has been leaked yet, you can expect this collab to drop with the new update right during the A15 royal pass so, I’m guessing anywhere between late September or maybe early October. PUBG would want you to get the collab items so, this will defiantly drop after all the major skin-line bundles that are scheduled to drop later in September with the new A15 Royal Pass.
