PUBG Mobile players have waited a long time for something fresh like this. Paramo is the new map that's got everyone talking. It's a 3x3 km area full of volcanoes and mist. This map will shake up classic mode big time. You get terrain that changes every single match, lava that can kill you quick, and loot hidden in tricky spots.
Paramo started on PC in Season 9, way back in October 2020. Now it's making the jump to mobile after all these years. Matches will hold up to 64 players, which means fights break out fast and keep going non-stop. Right now, beta testing kicked off mid-December 2025 with the V4.2 beta. Full global release looks like January 2026, after they fix things from tester feedback. Let's go through all the details we have so far.
Before diving in, I'd like to highlight that if you're one of those players who do in-game spending, I'd recommend you to do PUBG Mobile top up using LootBar. It is super reliable and cheap compared to others.

History and Release Timeline
Paramo became PUBG's sixth map on PC. Set in volcanic highlands, it drew fans with its random generation system. The land, buildings, and paths shift each match. No two games the same. It returned in PC Season 11 with updates like better field cover, more loot spawns, and smoother mini-map curves.
Paramo beta kicked off mid-December 2025. Testers signed up to play early. It's part of V4.2 beta, focusing on bugs and balance. Developers warn details can change from feedback. Like lava damage or POI loot. Core features match PC, but with mobile controls in mind. Full launch in next major update, maybe 4.2. Could include events, like volcano-themed challenges. Classic squads confirmed first. Duos or solos might follow. Past cycles show betas last a month, so January 2026 makes sense. If beta goes well, ranked queues and customs soon after.
Size, how it looks, and the changing parts
It's 3x3 km, so 9 km² total – smallest map in PUBG Mobile yet. Fights happen fast and a lot, like Sanhok but more crazy because things move around. Not like Erangel where everything stays the same – here, big places and hills change position every match. No more always dropping the same hot spot.
The volcano in the middle stays fixed, it throws ash and lava. But around it, stuff shifts. Main spots move randomly, so every game feels different. They added more rocks and bushes for cover now, so open areas not too empty. Good for medium distance shooting or close fights, and hills give height advantage.
Main spots (POIs) that move around
There are four big places that change location each game, so you have to figure out where to drop new every time:
- Capaco: Small ruined town with old temple in middle. Stone buildings good for fighting from high, lots of good loot, and keys for secret rooms. Great if your squad likes to fight early.
- Atahul: Bigger than Capaco, big temple with lots of rooms like maze. Perfect for close fights – need to listen good and work with team. Since it moves, it's always surprise.
- Helipad: Open area with modern buildings, helicopters come here often for drops. Not much cover, snipers like it, but good for quick loot then move.
- Makalpa: Medium village, many houses close, some natural walls. Good for quiet looting, or waiting to attack others, or hold in mid game.
In the center there's Tythonic Lab, it stays always same place. Some story about experimenting on weird plants from space. Good view around, high loot, and controls the zone well.
Special things: lava, secrets, and flying
Not just shooting – lava flows and areas hurt you bad if you touch, even burn gas on ground, block ways to move. Secret rooms in some buildings, need rare keys to open, inside best stuff like level 3 armor or rare guns.
Helicopters big new thing: you drop from them at start, and during game some fly with care packages, good loot. Shoot them enough, they drop early, but everyone hears and comes. Vehicles on ground: buggy, dirtbike, mountain bike – fast for crossing.
Weapons mostly normal: SMGs like UMP45 or Vector good close, ARs like M416 or AKM, and drops have P90 or AWM.
Gameplay Tips
- Early: look quick where spots are, drop hot like Capaco or Atahul for loot and keys, or safe edge.
- Mid: fight for center lab or helicopter drops, careful around lava for moving.
- End circles small fast because map tiny, so good to have high ground or fast vehicle.
Also, talk with team about where things moved, don't go through lava to rotate, push together for secret rooms, listen helicopter noise to know enemies. No same plan every time – need think quick.
What's Next for Paramo in PUBG Mobile?
As of December 15, 2025, the beta is in full swing with testers praising the non-stop intensity. Expect post-beta adjustments to lava damage, POI balance, or heli durability based on feedback. Ranked integration, custom matches, and even esports viability are on the horizon, following PC precedents. Special events with volcanic themes or tied-in rewards seem likely too. Paramo isn't merely a new map – it fuses brutal environmental threats, on-the-fly decision-making, and raw adrenaline into every drop. If you thrive on unpredictability, this volcanic paradise will be your new home.
