About Mythical Island Emblem Event

Pokemon TCG Pocket Mythical Island Emblem event is a special player vs player event that was released on December 20, 2024 to January 10, 2025. While the event is not live right now, there might be a chance of the developer releasing the same event, knowing that 20th of December is just a few weeks away. When participating in this event, players can enter a battle with another random player. As they progress, they will get a higher tier of Emblem depending on their winning count. The more you win, the tougher the enemy player will be, so it’s best to be careful by setting up a more solid deck. It’s better to have more card pulls, which you can easily obtain through Lootbar.

Now, winning the game might seem easy, but since you are facing a player, you will never know what deck they will use. For example, they can use the meta Mewtwo ex deck, which can easily erase your Pokemon in the battle. Or maybe they could set a Pikachu ex deck, a deck that’s quick to set up and easily dominates the competition. Therefore, you will need to be prepared with the best deck you could possibly build. To get a better chance of winning, we highly recommend sticking to the current Metas.

There are four types of Emblems you can get from this event. You will start with the Participation Emblem, and then progress your way to get Bronze Emblem, Silver Emblem, and Gold Emblem. After getting the emblem, you can use it to decorate your profile. Show off with the higher-tier Emblems to let other players know that you are a Pokemon Trainer who can not be underestimated.

How to Get The Emblems

To get the emblems, you simply need to log in to your Pokemon TCG Pocket account, go to Event, and enter the Pokemon TCG Pocket Mythical Island Emblem event, as easy as that. When starting up, you will have the Participation Emblem after getting at least one win. You will stick with this Emblem until you get several wins to get an upgrade. For more details about the Emblem and winnings, refer to the table below:

EmblemsHow Many Wins to Get
participation emblem Participation Emblem1 win
bronze emblem Bronze Emblem5 wins
silver emblem Silver Emblem25 wins
gold emblem Gold Emblem45 wins

As you can see, you will get better Emblems upon winning the event battles multiple times. And since it’s against other players, it will not be such an easy task. Even when you’re at the Bronze Emblem, enemies can use the Meta cards to dominate the battles. And as you progress through the game, you will need to learn how to counter them because that’s the only thing you can do to win against these strong cards. However, if you are just playing the game recently, we can share a few deck recommendations you can use to get that nice Gold Emblem after 45 wins.

What Decks to Use

To get the Gold Emblem, you need to get at least 45 wins. While it may seem to be a very challenging task, it is still doable, as long as you can get yourself some nice decks to use and combine. Dominating the PVP games is viable using the Meta decks, like Pikachu ex and Mewtwo ex. With the Mage Rising Pack that’s currently live on Pokemon TCG Pocket, you can actually get stronger decks from the pulls from Lootbar

Pikachu ex Deck

If you are looking for the best deck to use on all occasions, the Pikachu ex deck is easily recommendable. Different from other Meta builds, Pikachu ex doesn’t usually require a lot of energy to begin with. Additionally, you will not need to prepare the basic Pokemons as Pikachu ex itself already is. The key to using the Pikachu ex deck is to generate as much Lightning Energy as possible using Support Cards or other support Pokemon.

In this case, there are some best support Pokemons you can use with Pikachu ex. One example is Zeraora. This Pokemon is able to generate energy for Pikachu ex to use. Combined with Elemental Switch, you can make Pikachu ex ready to attack as soon as possible. Pikachu ex has a Circle Circuit ability that requires only two Lightning Energy. What this skill does is to deal 30 Lightning Damage.

Don’t let the small number trick you because this ability can deal an additional 30 damage for each Benched Pokemon. With supporting Pokemon on the bench that can give Pikachu ex some Energy, you can easily deal up to 60 to 90 Lightning Damage on the starting phases. So if you are planning to use Pikachu ex deck, which is a good strategy already, you’ll need to put as many Pokemon on the bench and prepare at least 2 Lightning Energy for Pikachu ex to unleash its attack. It’s a pretty consistent deck build compared to others, which is more fitting to use for PVP events, like the Pokemon Pocket Mythical Island Emblem Event.

Mewtwo Ex Deck

Another alternative to the above deck is Mewtwo Ex Deck. Using Mewtwo Ex and Gardevoir, you can easily dominate the battle. However, do note that this deck build is rather inconsistent and takes a longer time to actually set up. But once set up, Mewtwo ex can easily deal 150 Psychic Damage using only 2 Psychic Energy. Sounds good, right? The key here is Gardevoir with her skill, Psy Shadow. This ability makes it possible for you to pull an extra Psychic Energy for an Active Pokemon. Putting Mewtwo ex as Active and Gardevoir at bench, you can easily spam pull Psychic Energy to unleash Mewtwo’s Psydrive for 150 damage again and again.

While this deck seems great on paper, setting it up could take longer. While Mewtwo ex is a Basic Pokemon, Gardevoir isn’t. You will need some extra time to build Gardevoir before making Mewtwo ex usable for competitive battle. If your enemy uses Pokemon that require a smaller amount of energy, like Pikachu ex, you will be done for. So pay attention to this aspect as well if you want to build a strong deck for competitive events.

Conclusion

Mythical Island Emblem Event is indeed an event worth waiting for. Joining the events will let you hone your skills and experience better through fighting competitively with other players. The key is to build a strong deck that is consistent and strong enough to counter enemy Pokemon. So if you’re in need of better pulls, you can always do a Pokémon TCG Pocket top up, and have a greater set of Pokemon to build.
