Executor Scaling and Best Weapons
The Executor scales on Dexterity and Arcane stats. Here’s what these stats do:
- Dexterity (S-Scaling): This stat increases your Executor’s damage. It also gives you weapon speed. Recommended DEX on Executor is 60-70, so that you can keep your "Draw animation" parries consistent.
- Arcane (S-Scaling): If you are trying to build a good Executor in Elden Ring Nightreign, it is best to focus on getting as much Arcane as possible. This allows you to inflict Blood Loss after a few hits easily. This damage is basically considered at DoT.
For weapons as well, you should focus on DEX and ARC Attack Scaling. Here are some of the recommended weapons for the Executor. Also note that Dual-Wielding Katanas is recommended for better Blood Loss procs against bosses.
Weapon | Min Level | Attack Scaling | Damage Type |
Nagakiba | 3 | DEX | Physical |
Rivers of Blood | 7 | DEX/ARC | Physical |
Varre's Bouquet | 3 | STR/ARC | Physical |
Serpent Bow | 7 | DEX/ARC | Physical |
Note that Nagakiba can be infused with Occult or Poison to take advantage of your S-tier Arcane scaling. The Arcane scaling on River of Blood is also a perfect match for the Executor’s base stats.
Weapon passives are equally important for a good build. These passives will be activated even if you are not using the weapons. This means that the weapons can sit idly in your inventory and still be useful. Here are some of the recommended weapon passives.
Category | Passive |
Offense | Improved Attack Power When Wielding Two Armaments |
Offense | Improved Stance-Breaking When Wielding Two Armaments |
Alternative Offense | Improved Chain Attack Finishers |
Defense | Successful Guarding Ups Damage Negation |
Best Relics and Relic Passives For Executor
The recommended Relic setup for the Executor focuses on applying Status Ailments. Also, precise parries are needed to unleash massive burst damage.
Grand Burning Scene is an all-rounder relic recommendation during expeditions. Night of the Wise is a strong choice since it lets you inflict Poison. This way, you build up extra damage through status effects. Night of the Miasma grants your starting weapon the Chilling Mist skill, which applies Frostbite and temporarily enhances your weapon’s damage.
With this relic combination, the Executor’s starting weapon can quickly apply Blood Loss, Poison, and Frostbite. You can stack multiple status effects and deal consistent damage throughout the fight.
Relic | Effects |
Grand Burning Scene | Boosts rune gain for you and nearby teammates. Begins the expedition with a Stonesword Key already in your inventory. Shop purchases cost fewer runes during the expedition. |
Night of the Wise | Increases maximum FP. Your starting weapon applies Poison to enemies. |
Night of the Miasma | Attack power increases when Poison or Rot is present nearby. Being close to Frostbite effects makes it harder for enemies to detect you. At the start of the expedition, compatible weapons gain the Chilling Mist skill. Deals more damage to enemies that are already affected by Frostbite. |
You can change the Night of the Wise and Night of the Miasma with a Grand Scene of any colour if you do not have the recommended Relics. Make sure that the replacements have the following passives:
Passive | Effect |
Arcane +3 | Raises the Arcane attribute by 3 points. |
Dexterity +3 | Provides a +3 boost to Dexterity. |
HP Recovery From Successful Guarding | Restores a small amount of health whenever you successfully guard an attack. |
Increased Rune Acquisition | Improves rune gains for both you and your allies. |
Improved Katana Attack Power | Increases the damage dealt when using Katanas. |
[Executor] Roaring Restores HP While Art Is Active | Using the Executor’s Roaring ability heals HP while the ult remains active. |
Improved Stance-Breaking When Wielding Two Armaments | Dual-wielding weapons makes it easier to break the enemy stance. |
Stamina Recovers With Each Successful Attack | Landing hits restores a small amount of stamina. |
The Executor Skills and How To Play
The Executor’s gameplay is quite strategic and requires some practice as well. The Suncatcher (Cursed Sword) is the core skill of this character. When you tap on his skill, it provides parry frames. This means that you can deflect incoming attacks if you press the skill in time. This is called a Perfect Deflect. Each time it is triggered, you get a stack of Shell Mechanic. After you have gathered enough stacks, you can press the skill again to unleash a powerful lunging strike capable of dealing over 1,300 damage.
The Ultimate Aspects of the Crucible – Beast is yet another useful ability of the Executor. It acts as a second life. After you press his ultimate, this character turns into the “Beast” form, restores his HP, and grants another temporary health bar. You can also survive at 1 HP with brief invincibility instead of being downed, thanks to the version buff. When in Beast form, the draw-parry from your skill converts into “Roar”. This can stun enemies and revive fallen teammates from a distance.
Conclusion
Playing the Executor means you will be carrying your entire team. You are the player who stays alive when everyone else is down, reviving the team with a beastly roar and parrying the boss into a corner. It’s a difficult class to master. But once you have mastered it, it becomes deadly. You can use the LootBar game key to activate and play the game on Steam after purchase.
By prioritizing Dexterity and Arcane with weapons, locking in the right relics and passives, and mastering the Draw-Parry timing, you can turn the Executor from a bronze statue into a god of war. Limveld is a dangerous place, but with a glowing Executor by your side, you’re the most dangerous thing for the enemies.
