Skill 1: Aulus, Charge!

Aulus charges with Fighting Spirit which is his Passive, removes a slow effects, and momentarily gains 30% boosted movement speed for a short duration. Old aulus' skill 1 also granted the same abilities with immunity to slow effects but the revamped Aulus also grants immunity to control effects during the enraged state if not affected by any high level control effects.

At skill level 1, the cooldown is set at 14 seconds and at max level, the cooldown reduces to just 12 seconds. At max level, the 30% movement speed increases to 50%.

Skill 2: The Power of Axe

For the second skill, Aulus retains his previous abilities where he swings his axe in a fan shaped area, dealing 240-440 (+100% of his total PHY ATK stats) as Physical DMG to the enemies and slowing them for 2 sconds. After hitting a target, Aulus can recast the skill to dash forward and slam the ground, to deal Physical DMG to the enemies in AOE.

Ultimate: Cleaving Axe

The ultimate skill is the biggest change in Aulus' kit. Previously, Aulus's ult was just used as a means of slowing the enemy where he used to create a irrupted ground. Now, Aulus performs repeated swings with his axe at nearby enemies, dealing 150-270 (+60% of Total Physical ATK) as Physical DMG with each hit. After 4 consecutive hits, he unleashes a strong hit in a wider area that deals increased DMG. During the casting of the Ultimate, Aulus gains Damage reduction that scales from 20 to 40% (40 at max level) and a momentary speed up.

Passive: Fighting Spirit

War Axe is originally Aulus' main weapon and similar to War Axe's passive, Aulus also gains stacks of Fighting Spirit on his axe, after dealing damage. This effect can be stacked upto 6 times and each stack grants extra attack speed. Moreover, Aulus' basic attack gets enhanced at max stack and he gains extra attack range.

Aulus' new enhanced basic attack feels a like a combination of his previous Ultimate's irruption that makes it look like Thamuz's enhanced basic attack.

MLBB Revamped Aulus Recommended Build

builds

After the revamp, Aulus' kit is more suitable for the jungle role and here is our recommend item build for him:

  1. Retribution: As a jungler, retribution is a must but among the three retris, the most suitable one for Aulus is the Ice Retribution. This will slow down your enemies and prevent them from escaping.
  2. Tough Boots: For the boots, tough boots is the best for Aulus to reduce control effect duration.
  3. War Axe: War Axe is the core item for Aulus as it grants both damage and lifesteal which helps his sustain in fights.
  4. Brute Force Breastplate: For most fighters, Brute Force Breastplate is considered to be a priority item as it only just grants Defensive stats but also gives extra Physical ATK and movement speed.
  5. Rose Gold: Rose Gold will provide extra hybrid defense + a shield to save you from high burst. Moreover, it will always benefit Aulus because of the ATK speed bonus.
  6. Queen's Wing: Queen's Wing will grant extra spell vamp to aulus and also provides extra sustain.
  7. Malefic Gun: To be viable, penetration item is a must to melt the Tanks using Aulus. Moreover, it will also grant extra attack range.

Mechanics Changes

The Aulus Revamp in MLBB aims at fixing what the previous Aulus lacked. First, Aulus is recreated to be more than just a Basic Attack hero. With the CC immunity and his Ultimate, Aulus has now the must needed mobility plus the ability to jump in out of fights.

To keep him strong in fights, you will need to focus on keeping his passive Fighting Spirit stacks at maximum for the extra damage and enhanced basic attack. An easy combo for beginners will be starting with the Skill 1, follow it up with skill 2 to close the gap and once you reach max stacks of Fighting Spirit, cast your ultimate.

How to Counter the Revamped Aulus

Even though, Aulus' rework makes him a strong hero to use in rank matches, he is still squishy against high burst damage heroes like Ling, Hayabusa and Jawhead. Moreover, any hero with strong crowd control effects can easily stop Aulus from chasing down enemies.

Is the Revamped Aulus Viable in this Meta

The reworked Aulus feels more lot more flexible now and he's kit makes him a real fighter now. With the recent update, his pick rate and win rate has been boosted by a lot.

This revamp is also focused on bringing the much awaited Demon Slayer x MLBB collab and the new Aulus proves to be a perfect fit for Tanjiro.

Conclusion

Overall, the rework on Aulus has significantly elevated the hero's presence, transforming it from a forgotten pick into a more reliable and viable option. However, despite these changes, playing Aulus will still require precise positioning and decision making. Players who know how to blanace aggression with caution will get the most out of the rework. With the Tanjiro skin, we might even see higher pick rate for Aulus. If you want to prepare for upcoming skins, use LootBar for your top ups.
