Missile Squad : Best Upgrade Priorities And Tips

Missile squads can deal consistent damage from the backline, but their success depends heavily on having a strong frontline, which can soak deep-dives or large AoE (Area of Effect), and also the support could boost crit, attack speed, or amplify damage.

Best Missile Hero List

While the hero options are limited and quite hard to get, especially to make it stronger, you can improve faster by purchase currency such as Last War Top Up from LootBar. Top up now to get bonus diamond and exclusive items!

· McGregor (UR, Defender) – Iconic missile-tank with taunt, protecting your fragile backline DPS. Built to soak tons of damage with high HP/defense scaling. He’s described as “one of the two mandatory frontline heroes” for missile teams. He keeps enemies off your DPS while also boosting missile damage through his Exclusive Weapon.

· Adam (UR, Defender/Counter) – Sturdy counter-attacker. Adam is “insanely strong” as a frontliner, absorbing hits and reflecting damage, keeping both himself and allies alive longer. His counter-defense shield is crucial for team survival. Adam’s counter-defense shield can protect McGregor, so his taunts stay up.

· Tesla (UR, DPS) – Premier missile sniper and eliminates key threats with huge crit bursts. Tesla “outputs a ton of damage” with multi-target strikes and is “the core hero” for missile formations. Tesla is a glass cannon; he hits like a truck, but breaks if touched. Protect him with strong tanks, and pair him with AoE (Area of Effect) DPS so he doesn’t waste time on swarmy enemies.

· Fiona (UR, DPS) – deliver large-scale AoE (Area of Effect) damage. Fiona is designed to inflict broad, sustained damage across multiple enemies simultaneously. She’s ranked highly once her formation is unlocked.

· Swift (UR, DPS) – Precision assassin. Swift skills targeted strikes on low-HP targets and builds Burning stacks to prevents drawn-out fights by securing fast kills. He guarantees kills on low-HP enemies, preventing comebacks and keeping the missile squad’s momentum. He isn’t the main damage dealer, but he kills whoever is left weak.

Leveling and Upgrading Heroes

· Hero Levels: Use EXP items to level up your heroes to the highest level possible.

Hero EXP items are commonly earned from missions, events, zombie hunts, and daily activities. EXP gets harder to gather at higher levels, so focus on main squad at max possible level.

· Hero Promotion: Collect fragments of missile heroes to unlock rank stars to reach 5★. Hero Prioritization (Swift → Tesla → Adam → Fiona → McGregor)

To earn each star, 5 tiers of star promotion require Hero Shard. Shards can be earned from Recruitment, Events, Shops (VIP Shop, Alliance Shop, and you can also purchase on Last War Top Up from LootBar. Each star level has different needs per tier:

· Skill Medals: These are a crucial and limited resource. You can gather them through daily activities, special tasks, and radar task. When skill medals are out of reach, Last War Top Up from LootBar is your fastest solution.

· Exclusive Weapons: To unlock a specific hero, you must have 50 Exclusive Weapon Shards of that hero. The universal shards are only usable after the Exclusive Weapon is unlocked. That needs huge amount of items for the activation. However, you can always do a Last War Top Up from LootBar to get the Exclusive Weapon Shard faster.

Formatting and Positioning

Frontline (Defenders)

· Heroes : McGroger, Adam.

· Function :

· Soak damage so your fragile missile DPS can fire safely.

· Taunt enemies (McGregor) to control who they attack.

· Shield allies / counterattack (Adam) to reflect damage and protect backline.

Backline (Damage Dealers)

· Heroes : Tesla, Fiona, Swift

· Function :

· Tesla: A precision sniper that melts single targets.

· Fiona: AoE (Area of Effect) nuker, clears multiple enemies at once.

· Swift: Finisher, hunts the weakest and secures kills.

Gear

Craft the gear in the Gear Factory Building, but I highly suggest only craft Legendary Gear and promote it to Mythic Level. Maximize gear to enhance attack power and crit rate. For backline heroes, Cannons and Chips. For frontline heroes, prioritize Armor and Radar.
