Understanding the Pet System
To unlock pets in Kingshot, you first need to stay in an active server for a few days and reach Town Center Level 18. At first you can keep only three pets at once, but later you might get updates that will let you keep more pets at a time. You can tame and feed your pets twice daily. In order to level up your pets, you need to feed them regularly. Once you level up your pets by feeding, their stats and skills get better, and they become more effective and helpful.
Each pet has its own unique purpose. Some are more useful for helping your kingdom grow by providing stamina and speed boosts, while others are best for military purposes like dealing damage or weakening enemy troops. Choosing the right pet for the right task is important for getting the most benefit out of them.

Types of Pets and What They Do
There are two generations of pets and each of them has their own specific traits. First you get the Generation 1 pets, which are Gray Wolf, Bison, and Lynx. These are good options at the start, and if you upgrade them properly you can even use them later. After some time, you get the Generation 2 pets, which are Cheetah and Moose. Generation 2 pets have stronger stats and abilities than Generation 1 pets.
Let us talk about the Generation 1 pets first. Gray Wolf is a well-rounded pet that increases overall troop damage, so it is a safe and reliable choice. Bison focuses on troop defense and survivability, and makes your units more durable in fights. Lynx increases your stamina regeneration, which lets you do more things every day. Lynx is especially useful for Pet Adventures.
Generation 2 pets are more powerful. Cheetah is very deadly and has a high marching speed, which makes your attacks more dangerous and faster. Moose is one of the best pets for combat, as it reduces enemy HP and weakens opponents during battles. It is very effective in alliance events and high-level content.
The pets you should use and upgrade depends on your style of play. Sometimes you might want to focus on PvP combat, and sometimes you might want to focus on growth and efficiency. In order to build a balanced team that is helpful for all situations, you have to clearly understand what each pet does, and their strengths and weaknesses. These packages might contain pets sometimes, so they are worth buying at times when you don’t have good pets available.
Pet Priority
If you are a beginner and you want to play for free, you will have very limited resources. So, you have to focus on the more valuable pets first. Generation 1 pets are a great starting point. Upgrade Gray Wolf and Bison steadily since they give useful buffs. Upgrade Lynx only till level 20. This will unlock its stamina bonus, which will be enough to unlock four daily Pet Adventures.
If you have spare resources, you can always keep upgrading them, but other than that there is no need. Then once you unlock Generation 2 pets, you can start to focus on Cheetah and Moose. These pets offer better stats and stronger skills, but they’re harder to upgrade and require more items. Don’t rush into upgrading them unless you are sure you can support them.
However, if you want to spend money on the game, then the best strategy is to focus heavily on Moose first, then Gray Wolf, and finally Bison. You can also upgrade Cheetah for more damage, but it is not necessary. Lynx is also somewhat useful, but don’t prioritize it over other pets.
Leveling and Refining Your Pets
You can increase your pet’s levels by feeding them. As they level up, they become stronger and unlock better abilities. You need Pet Food for this. You can get Pet Food by completing daily tasks and events. Feed only those pets that matter to you and will be useful for you. Don’t waste your food on other unnecessary pets.
When pets reach higher levels, you can also refine them. By refining your pets, you can boost their stats in key areas such as Infantry, Archer, and Cavalry Lethality and Health. To refine pets, you will need Taming Marks. There are two types of Taming Marks, Common and Advanced. Use the Common TM for basic upgrades and use the Advanced TM for higher level upgrades.
Every time you refine, your stats get selected randomly. Now they might get better, or they might get worse. If your new stats are better than your current ones, then replace them. If not, then reroll for new stats. Keep doing this until you get good results and your overall power increases. The refinement stats have different colors based on their rarity - gray, green, blue, purple, and gold. The higher the color, the better the stats. Once you get a new rarity, it won’t go back down even if your stat level decreases during refining. Getting Gold stats is not that common, so be careful that you don’t waste too much resources trying to chase those.
