White Fox Overview: A Hero with Versatile Abilities
White Fox is primarily a Strategist, but her kit allows for more hybrid playstyles, including a combination of healing and firepower. She was introduced in Season 7 and stands out among other healers because of her potential as a high-skill support who can turn the tide in a fight.
Support heroes typically stand back while providing healing to their team, but White Fox can get into the thick of the battle and provide healing while also dealing damage to enemies. This guide will explain how White Fox’s hybrid abilities can allow you to use her to her full potential. You can also try the hero out on your own and top up using LootBar to unlock skins!
Role: Aggressive support
White Fox’s official role in Marvel Rivals is that of a Strategist, but her kit makes her more than a hero who can only heal and support the team. Her abilities are dual-purpose, letting her heal as well as attack using them.
You would be wasting the hero’s potential by letting her stay out of the fight, and instead, you should:
Stay near the battle, offering either healing or attacking enemies based on the need
Consistently use your abilities, but conserve Spirit Tails
Respond based on your teammates’ and enemies’ actions
White Fox can be powerful in most scenarios, and following the above-mentioned steps can ensure you use her kit correctly. It's important to time her abilities and position her in the correct vantage point to make the hero more efficient.
Abilities explained
Primary Fire – Yeowoo Guseul
This is White Fox’s main attack ability, which you will likely use the most. The hero fires fox marbles, which can bounce from surfaces and also between targets. The marbles will heal allies and damage opponents. You will also gain Spirit Tail by using fox marbles on enemies and allies.
Spectral Surge
This is White Fox’s second attack, which can also allow her to cancel crowd-control abilities. Spectral Surge charms enemies, canceling attacks and Ultimates if timed properly. The ability uses 1 Spirit Tail and also grants White Fox brief invulnerability and healing.
Spirit Sanctuary
This is a mid-range teleport that also heals you and allies. Initially, the ability offered 70 healing, which has since been dropped to 50. Using the ability also forms a circular shield that provides 20/s Healing Over Time to allies within the shield’s range.
Fox Form Awakening
This is the primary source of healing and damage for White Fox, but can only be activated if you have at least 1 Spirit Tail, with the duration of the form increasing by 1 second for every extra Spirit Tail you have. The ability replaces the primary fire with Claw Strike. You can also use Tail Sweep to push enemies up and attack them. You also gain Predatory Punch, which allows you to dash towards enemies and slows them down.
Ultimate Explained
White Fox’s Ultimate, Kumiho Unleashed, allows her to transform into the Nine-Tailed Fox. This form replaces White Fox’s primary with Ninefold Slam, which grants 100 healing to her and any ally hit. You also get the Blessed by Nine, which can grant an ally lifesteal, unstoppable, and continuous. The Blessed by the Nine initially used 100 health, but now no health is consumed,: instead, a 2s cooldown has been implemented.
Blessing of the Kumiho
This is a new team-up ability.
- Grants Luna Snow a new ability that allows her to release a Spirit Fox forward
Weaknesses
White Fox isn’t an overpowered hero, and she has her fair share of weaknesses.
Her skill cooldowns are substantial
Spirit Tails take a long time to generate
The range for Spirit Sanctuary is relatively low
The hero is weak if you don’t play her aggressively
She can also get overwhelmed by multiple opponents while in her Nine-Tailed Fox form
Gameplay
You can develop your own gameplay style while playing White Fox, but here’s an efficient breakdown of how you could play the hero.
Early game
Use Primary Fire – Yeowoo Guseul to attack enemies and heal allies
Stay near teammates
Conserve Spirit Tail
Mid game
Activate Fox Form Awakening when you have enough Spirit Tails
Use Claw Strike or Tail Sweep
You can also use Spectral Surge to cancel Ultimates
Late game
Use the Ultimate to transform into the Nine-Tailed Fox
You can also activate Blessed by the Nine to buff allies
How to Play White Fox
White Fox is most effective when played as an aggressive support who balances saving allies and taking down enemies. Her abilities would be wasted if you keep her in the background, like traditional Strategists.
You should focus on her Primary Fire – Yeowoo Guseul to heal allies and deal damage to enemies simultaneously. This ability generates Spirit Tails, which you will need to use once you have enough. Once the enemies start to pressure your team more, you can start using other abilities.
Spectral Surge is the most optimal, as it can cancel enemy Ultimates. But don’t waste the ability and Spirit Tails; make sure each attack counts. You can also use Spirit Sanctuary to reposition or heal yourself and allies within the radius of the shield. Once you have generated enough Spirit Tails, it’s time to activate Fox Form Awakening. You can increase your offense in this form and deal substantial damage.
White Fox’s Ultimate is best saved for endgame or critical fights. Blessed by the Nine can be used to offer allies key healing. You will also get a full stack of Spirit Tails when you exit the Ultimate, which makes this ability even better.

Costumes
White Fox hasn’t been on the roster for long, but the hero already has a premium skin.
- Default costume: This is the hero’s standard look that includes her default MVP animation and emote
- Yoon Ji‑woo: The Leader Skin: This is a premium alternative that can be purchased from the in-game store. It comes with a custom spray, MVP animation, emote, and nameplate
You can top up from LootBar if you want the premium skin but are short on premium currency.
Conclusion
White Fox is a deadly healer that can save allies by dispatching enemies. You can use the Strategist according to your playstyle if you adjust her abilities accordingly. She can teleport, save allies, and even cancel opponents’ Ultimate. You just need to understand and time her abilities perfectly to make them a game-changer.
