What’s coming in Marvel Rivals Season 7.5?
Marvel Rivals is adding a bunch of new content in Season 7.5. This includes finally introducing the much-anticipated Black Cat, as well as making some much-needed changes. The awesome skins that this season is adding can be acquired by utilizing LootBar’s services, just like every other season.
Aside from this, one major feature Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 is adding is a Chain-CC Protection mechanic. If a hero is crowd-controlled for 5.5 seconds, then they instantly cleanse themselves of all crowd control effects. They also get an increased 30% tenacity for 3 seconds. The tenacity scales with how many CCs the hero is inflicted with. This means that you can technically get 100% tenacity if you were suffering from too many CC effects.
This doesn’t mean that this mechanic is basically a way for Marvel Rivals to kill tactical CC. Instead, it has a 5-second cooldown that begins after the tenacity effect expires. It also doesn’t affect certain animation-driven CC attacks, such as Emma Frost's Carbon Crush and Monster Hulk's World Breaker.

How does Black Cat play in Marvel Rivals?
Just like how most players were assuming, Black Cat will play as a duelist in Marvel Rivals. Being the 49th hero to be added to the roster, her gameplay style is fairly similar to Black Panther. However, it wouldn’t be a stretch that she’s already looking like a much better Black Panther for those who like getting kills.
While her being nimble and extremely fast was a given, she also has the ability to use all kinds of artifacts. These include the Helm of Hades, which lets her go invisible, the Ring of Sona, which lets her make portals, and the Mento-Fish, which can disable movement abilities and ground enemies caught within a field.
Black Cat also has a unique Fortune system. She needs fortune to use certain abilities and to purchase artifacts to use. Fortune is gained by attacking enemies, and adds a layer of complexity to her gameplay that few heroes can match.
Another clutch ability is her Phantom Pursuit. This finishing ability lets her lock onto a target, dash toward them, deal serious damage, and secure the elimination before the enemy can escape. Because the lock-on can’t be evaded, movement-based heroes like Psylocke and Rocket Raccoon are in for a bad time. Of course, there’s much more to this hero than just this, and playing her in the game is the best way to master her.
All new Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 skins
Of course, Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 will bring multiple skins that haven’t been confirmed yet. However, some skins that will come alongside the season include:
The Black Cat Urban Predator skin
The Spider-Man Peter Parker: The Photographer skin
The Blade Starlit Shadow skin
Since the season isn’t out yet, it makes sense that their rarity and costs are unknown. However, regardless of how much you have to spend to get your hands on the skins you like, you can just buy a Marvel Rivals top up or two to get them.
Conclusion
Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 is already shaping up to be one of the best in recent times. Black Cat’s attractive design and intricate playing style are showing signs of reeling in inactive players, which is something that no recent hero has been able to do. It remains to be seen whether Marvel Rivals will be able to recapture the hype it once had.
