Tier List Overview

Here's an overview of the tier list so you can quickly figure out which heroes are worth choosing in a ranked game.

  • Meta (S-Tier): Must-pick heroes that dominate the meta.
  • Super Good (A-Tier): Strong heroes that are highly effective but not quite meta-defining.
  • Quite Good (B-Tier): Solid picks that can work well in the right hands or comps.
  • Decent (C/D-Tier): Usable but not optimal; situational picks.
  • Don't Pick (E-Tier): Heroes that are outclassed or underperform in the current meta.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 Heroes Tier List

S-Tier (Meta)

These heroes are the best of the best and define the meta. If you’re not picking these, you’re probably throwing.

meta heroes marvel rivals

Luna Snow: Insane healing, survivability, and utility. She’s the best support in the game right now. Her AOE healing, CC, and defensive capabilities make her a must-pick.

Magneto: A top-tier tank with incredible survivability, damage, and utility. His ult is one of the best counters to Cloak and Dagger’s healing.

Doctor Strange: High mobility, burst damage, and survivability. His ult is game-changing, and he’s one of the best tanks in the game.

Cloak and Dagger: The fastest-building ult in the game with insane AOE healing. Her defensive ult lasts forever, making her a nightmare to deal with.

Storm: Massive damage buffs this season make her a meta DPS. Her ult charges insanely fast, and she can dominate team fights.

Invisible Woman: Her peel and defensive ult make her a meta support. She’s especially strong in triple-support comps.

Mantis: Despite a slight nerf to her passive movement speed, Mantis remains strong with solid damage, decent healing, and a defensive ult, which is essential in the current support meta dominated by defensive ults

Namor Annoying and strong, especially with Luna Snow. His squids are hard to deal with, and he’s a soft meta pick.

Psylocke: Her burst damage, stealth, and strong ult make her a top-tier duelist, especially effective against both tanks and squishies.

A-Tier

These heroes are strong and can carry games, but they’re not quite as dominant as the meta picks.

A rank heroes marvel rivals

Hulk: A solid tank with great mobility and an amazing ult. However, he’s weak to CC and relies on Iron Man for maximum effectiveness.

Moon Knight: Good in the current meta for nuking through defensive ults, but his survivability is low.

Iron Man: Strong damage output, especially with Hulk’s team-up ability. However, he’s not meta because he’s too reliant on Hulk.

Groot: A strong tank with a powerful ult. He’s great in choke points and pairs well with Moon Knight.

Star-Lord: A consistent DPS with a powerful ult. He’s mobile and can contest high ground, but he’s harder to play.

Wolverine: Hard countered by Invisible Woman. He’s inconsistent and struggles in the current meta.

Hawkeye: Still a strong DPS, but his range nerf hit him hard. He’s very consistent but not as oppressive as before.

Hela: Despite nerfs, she’s still strong with good positioning. Her ult is annoying, but she’s more balanced now.

Loki: His ability to copy defensive ults makes him a very strong pick, though not quite meta. While his healing, damage, and clones are effective, his ult can sometimes miss, making him slightly less consistent than other top-tier heroes.

Squirrel Girl: Underrated and strong. Her ult is devastating, and she has great pressure, but she’s not widely played.

B-Tier

These heroes are solid but have some weaknesses or are situational.

B tier heroes marvel rivals

Magik: The best melee duelist with consistent damage. She’s great at priority damage but struggles against triple-support comps.

Black Panther: Fell off due to bugs and the meta shift. Cloak and Dagger hard counters him, and his damage feels lackluster.

Thor: A good tank, but he’s outshined by Magneto and Strange. He’s still viable, especially with Storm.

Venom: Relies on follow-up damage to be effective. He’s good in dive comps but inconsistent otherwise.

Punisher: Solid DPS but easier to shut down. He’s not as consistent as other DPS heroes.

Winter Soldier: The recent buffs make him feel solid, but his ult is tough to capitalize on, often resulting in a risky commitment. While he's strong at killing tanks, his lack of consistency and weak ult hold him back from being a top-tier pick.

Adam Warlock: His revive mechanic is decent, but other supports are better. He’s not bad, just outshined.

C/D-Tier

These heroes are usable but not optimal. They can work in specific situations but are generally outclassed.

C tier heroes marvel rivals

Spider-Man: Inconsistent but can be strong with good coordination, especially with Venom. Struggles against triple support. Especially after the nerf.

Peni Parker: Map-dependent and relies on traps. She’s not great at surviving and needs good positioning.

Rocket Raccoon: Easy to play and has a high win rate in low elo, but lacks a defensive ult, which hurts him in high-level play.

D tier heroes marvel rivals

Mr. Fantastic: His ult is one of the worst in the game, but the rest of his kit is decent. He’s usable but not great.

Captain America: Despite recent buffs, Captain America still feels underwhelming, with poor damage, long cooldowns, and a lack of impact in higher-level play, making him a poor pick compared to other heroes.

E-Tier

These heroes are outclassed and generally not worth picking in the current meta.

D tier

Scarlet Witch: Only used to buff Magneto at the start of the game. Her ult is easy to shut down, and she’s generally weak.

Black Widow: Squishy and map-dependent. She requires too much effort to be effective.

Jeff the Shark: His ult is unreliable, and he’s outshined by other supports. He’s cute but not strong.

Iron Fist: The worst hero in the game. He’s unplayable in high elo and struggles to get kills through triple support healing.

Conclusion

The triple-support meta is dominating the Marvel Rivals Season 1, with heroes like Luna Snow, Cloak and Dagger, and Invisible Woman leading the charge. Tanks like Magneto and Doctor Strange are also essential, while DPS heroes like Storm and Psylocke are strong but not as oppressive as the supports.

If you want to climb, focus on the meta picks and avoid the weaker heroes in the rank. Good luck, and see you in the game!
