Marvel Rival Season 1.5 Hero Changes

 

Vanguards

Venom:

His Frenzied Arrival now causes knockback at a 75° angle (previously vertical) and costs 2,500 instead of 2,800, making it available faster.

- Venom's FRENZIED ARRIVAL has been changed from vertical Knockback to inwards knockback at a 75° angle

 - Ultimate cost: 2800 -> 2500

 

Captain America:

He can now use Absolute Will for defense while jumping.  His Vibranium Energy Store projectile speed is faster, and the ejection speed after a hit has been increased. Overall, Captain America is becoming more responsive and fun to play.

- "Added the ability to use absolute will for defense during jumping"

- Vibranium energy saw: Projectile speed increased from 60m/s to 80m/s. ejection speed after a hit increased from 100m/s to 150m/s

 

Thor:

The cooldown after using Rune Awakening has been removed, allowing for consecutive use without delay.

- Removed cooldown after the Rune Awakening skill duration ends

 

Groot:

He can now place his walls up to 18 meters away (previously 15 meters).

- Groot walls can be placed up to 18m (up from 15m)

 

Magneto: 

His primary fire now deals 40 explosive damage, while the Metallic Curtain energy cost has been increased, and its duration has been reduced.

- Primary 35 to 40

- Curtain: energy cost 50 to 65, Maximum duration 2 to 1.5

 

Doctor Strange:

His base HP has been reduced from 650 to 600.

- Base HP: 650 to 600

 

Duelist

Iron Fist:

Base HP increased from 250 to 300. His attack damage has been slightly reduced across multiple abilities, but his survivability has been improved with bonus health and increased tankiness.

- Base HP increased from 250 to 300

- Jeet Kune Do's 1st, 2nd, and 5th attack damage reduced from 32 to 30 • 3rd and 4th damage reduced from 16 to 15

• 6th damage reduced from 55 to 50.

• Cooldown time of each hit to reduce the combo attack increased from 1 second to 1.5 seconds • Damage of each hit of the Sun Punch decreased from 19 to 10.

- HARMONY RECOVERY: Bonus HP provided increased from 50 to 150 with HP decay at 25/s

- DRAGON'S DEFENSE: HP converted from block increased from 150 to 200

 

Mr. Fantastic:

His Flexible Elongation spell field has been expanded to 5 meters, and now enemies are knocked back after landing.  His ultimate now does more damage but has a shorter charge time.

- FLEXIBLE ELONGATION:

• Spell Field increased from 2.5 to 5m

• Now knocks enemies outwards after landing

• Charge increased from 8s to 10s

- BRAINIAC BOUNCE:

• Damage increased from 50 to 70

• Energy cost increased from 2800 to 3400

• Damage fall off: dmg starts decaying at 3m to a max of 50dmg at 10m

 

Iron Man:

His Uni-Beam damage has been increased across all modes, making him even stronger.

- UNIBEAM: - Damage Increased from 120/s to 140/s

- Armor Overdrive Unibeam increased from 180/s to 190/s

 

Hawkeye:

His health has been boosted by 25, and his Explosive Arrows damage has been slightly decreased while his Crescent Slash cooldown has been reduced.

- Base Health: 250 to 275

- Explosive arrows: Damage decreased from 20 to 15, spell field dmg increased from 25 to 32

- CRESCENT SLASH: Cooldown decreased from 15s to 12

- Ultimate: Bow charge speed is accelerated, Draw speed increased from 1.2 to 1.35

 

Storm:

The damage from her Wind Blade at 30 meters has been reduced, but her team speed boost is now improved.

- Wind blade Damage at 30m reduced from 70% to 60%

- AURA:

• Self-boost from 16% to 12%

• Teamboost from 8% to 10%

• Goddess Boost (thunder) self-boost dmg increased from 30% to 25%

 

Storm:

 

Star-Lord:

His flight fuel has been increased, allowing for longer flight durations.

- Ultimate cost: from 1200 to 1800

 

Scarlet Witch:

Now gets 100 bonus HP when using her ultimate, but it decays after a few seconds.

- Ultimate: 100 bonus HP applied on cast

- Decays at 50/s after interrupt/end

 

Spider-Man:

The recharge time for his Web Shooter has been decreased from 3 to 2.5 seconds.

- Web-Shooters: Recharge time decreased from 3s to 2.5s

 

Moon Knight:

The speed of his ultimate has been reduced and damage scaling has been corrected.

- Ultimate: Khonshu's fist speed reduced

- Corrected the damage logic, removed 75 dmg for being in the middle of the spell field

- Each fist now does 150 (up from 75)

 

Hela:

Her Soul Drainer now has an increased damage falloff at 30 meters.

- SOUL DRAINER: damage falloff at 30m from 70% to 80%

 

Hela:

 

Black Widow:

Her rifle capacity has been increased, and her ultimate’s slow effect is reduced.

- Rifle Capacity increased from 8 to 15 - Ultimate: Slow down effect reduced from 80% to 55%

 

Magic:

Her Eldritch World damage has been increased, while Demon’s Rage damage has been decreased.

- ELDRITCH WHIRL (normal): dmg decreased from 45 to 40 - DEMON'S RAGE (normal): dmg decreased from 80/s to 72/s - Ultimate: cost reduced from 3700 to 3400

Cloak and Dagger have received some nerfs in the latest update. Their ultimate cost has been raised, and the duration of their Dash Lanes/Fog That Heals ability has been shortened. Additionally, the healing effect from the Dash Lanes can no longer be stacked.

However, there’s a silver lining: the vulnerability inflicted on enemies by Terror Cape has been increased from 20% to 28%.

- Ultimate: cost increased from 3400 to 4000

- "Dash lanes/Fog that heals" duration reduced from 10s to 8s

- Pause between dashes reduced from 1s to 0.67s

- Healing effect of the dash lanes no longer STACK, only 1 lanes works when overlayed on each other

- TERROR CAPE: Vulenrability on enemies increased from 20% to 28%

 

Adam Warlock:

His Primary Fire damage has been increased, while the Soul Bond healing has also been boosted.

- Primary Fire damage increased from 55 to 60, 60% damage falloff at 40m (up from 50% dmg falloff)

- SOUL BOND: healing increased from 10/s to 15/s

 

Lunar Snow:

Lunar Snow finally got nerf, which increased her Ult cost, but it didn't affect her status as a META hero.

- Ultimate cost increased from 4000 to 4500

 

Loki:

His Ultimate now takes longer to charge, but he gains increased ammo.

- Ultimate Cost increased from 3400 to 4000

- Ammo increased from 10 to 12

 

Mantis:

The bonus HP from her ultimate has been reduced from 100 to 75.

- Ultimate bonus HP reduced from 100 to 75

  

Invisible Woman: 

Her Ultimate charge time has been increased, making it slower to use.

- Ultimate cost increased from 4000 to 4300

 

Team-Up Changes

 

Gamma Team-Up (Hulk + Iron Man):

Iron Man's Uni-Beam damage has been reduced in this team-up, and Hulk's HP gain has been decreased.

 

Psionic Disc (Magic, Psylocke, Black Panther):

The teleport time for the Psionic Disc has been reduced from 5 to 3 seconds, and the bonus HP conversion has been increased.

 

Full Moon (Cloak & Dagger + Moon Knight):

New healing effect added, where you'll heal 25 HP per second while inside the Full Moon effect.

 

Full Moon (Cloak & Dagger + Moon Knight):

 

Symbiotic Bond (Venom, Spider-Man, and Penny):

The skill time for Spider-Man is now just 1 second, and the 50% damage reduction has been removed, replaced with invincibility for a short time.

 

Frozen Chi:

Healing increased from 50 to 75, and the slow effect on enemies is now 30% (up from 20%).

 

Conclusion

 

Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 patch changes aim to improve balance, with several characters receiving buffs to make them more useful and others getting tweaks to reduce overpowered abilities, such as 3 support meta.
