Progression
Here is the detailed progression guide for your level 1-200 journey:
Level 1 to 10
Level 1 to 10 is your beginning of the Maplestory adventure where the game introduces you to the story of the class character you chose. After completing the training quests, you will find yourself at level 10.
Level 10 to 30
From level 10 to 30, head towards the Golem’s Temple: Golem’s Temple 3. In order to get to the location – Head right from Henesys, you will find a hidden portal to Golem’s Temple Entrance. You will generally have to complete your class job quests but you can also grind mixed Golem mobs in the Golem’s Temple 3 if you can travel around the World. If you are strong enough, you can earn extra EXP through mobs like Evil eye, Curse eye or Ooze Waste.
Level 30 to 40
At level 30, head to the Savage Terminal and head to the map Garbage Dump: Shaded Dump Site to fight Dumpy Hoodlum. Keep farming until you get level 40. For regular servers, alternate mobs are Hazard’s Rotten Crony.
Level 40 to 50
For level 40-50, your grind will shift to Burnt Land: Wild Boar Land where you will have to clear mobs including Wild board and terrified wild boar. This range is where you will grow from your second job and have to deal with great spawn here.
Level 50 to 65
Go to the Swamp: Silent Swamp for the next arc. This is a really fun map as you can just jump down from each platform and teleport from top to bottom easily. For players in the heroic server, you are suggested to get around level 60 as you will find this area a bit difficult.
Level 65 to 75
Next stop will be Obris: Stairway to the Sky I, where you will fight mobs like Lioner, Grupin or Cellion and the spawn rate is incredibly good here. After this level range, you will also unlock your third job skill.
Level 75 to 90
For the range of 75 to 90, you should go to Sunset Road: The Desert of Serenity. This horizontal map is easy to attack all monsters on and using your 3rd job skill, you can clear them easily.
Level 90 to 100
Level 90 onwards, there are two paths you can take. One is the Leafre: West Leafre Forest where you will fight the Rash mobs and being the first Burning field map, you will earn extra EXP. Second is Magatia Research Institute: Lab where you will take on Roid mobs.
Level 100
At level 100, you will encounter your very first boss – Zakum. Defeating him can generate you a good amount of EXP and some useful equipment. Also, starting level 101, you will unlock Guilds and should definitely join one to gain a multitude of buffs and weekly potions. If you want to accelerate your progress, then use your MapleStory Blue Diamonds to purchase special “Hot Deals” and summon rare weapons.
Level 110-135
For 110 to 135, you should head to the Korean Folk Town to complete the series of Wanted quests which will give you a decent amount of EXP and mesos, and will allow you to farm level 140 Pensalir Gear.
Level 135 to 155
Now at level 135, you should be able to take on Kerning Tower mobs in the Kerning Tower: 2f Cafe <3>. You can also opt for Kerning Tower: 2f Cafe <4> if you have 80 Starforce points.
Level 155 to 165
Head to the Stone Colossus for this range of levels. Although the place is a bit neglected by players, it has a couple of great training maps and it's super fun to train. Your main mob spawns will be Mantis and Blood Mantis. Heroic players can farm until 170 here.
Level 165 to 180
At level 165, you will need to head to the Omega sector. This location includes one of the best maps to train at until you hit 190 for Heroic servers or 180 for regular servers. Players who don’t have a starforce of 140 can head to the Corridor 202 to farm.
Level 180 to 200
Your final location will be Twilight Perion. This location has some decent training spots making it a viable spot for farming starting level 160. At level 180, fight Swollen Stump at Twilight Period: Deserted Southern Ridge. At level 190, move to the Forsaken Excavation Site 2 to complete your 200 level mark.
Extra Tips
Here are some extra tips to gain additional EXPs and levels:
- At level 199, you can obtain a free level just by completing the simple Scrapyard Haven prequests which will hardly take 5 minutes.
- Level 105 onwards, you can enter Monster Park upto 7 times a day to gain extra levels. This will require you to have an entry ticket – 2 will be free and the other 5 will cost mesos in Reboot world and NX in regular servers.
