Daredevil and Punisher’s Team-Up: Bestial Hunt
Who better to pair with Daredevil than his “best pal” Punisher? The two have been an iconic duo ever since people saw their chemistry in Daredevil’s TV show, and now they’re a duo in Marvel Rivals too thanks to this team-up.
Daredevil acts as the anchor for this team-up, so he gets a +25 health and +5% damage bonus. Punisher on the other hand, gets two big boosts. One being a passive boost that allows him to see any enemy Daredevil is currently tracking with his Sonic Pursuit, and the other being an additional grenade added to his kit which deals minor damage and blinds enemies.
It's not a meta-shifting team-up by any means. Just a fun addition to The Punisher’s otherwise simple kit. But it still has some great uses. In a big team-fight, the new devil-infused grenade can really help. Hitting a cluster of enemies will leave them momentarily blind and open for all your teammates to attack. It’s also great for ziplining behind enemies and blinding them so that they scatter in domination maps, leaving the objective wide open.
Hela and Namor’s Team-Up: Deep Wrath
After being put in prison because she was hugely responsible for the events of Season 3, Hela got approached by Namor. As always, the King of The Seas is up to no good, and wanted Hela’s help conquering Earth. Hela outright refuses, but still gives Namor a favour, hoping that he’ll return the favour when the time is right.
And that’s the lore behind Marvel Rivals newest and meanest team-up, Deep Wrath. Hela gets a massive 15% damage boost that’s active even without Namor since she’s the team-up anchor. Namor on the other hand, gets a brand new squid to haunt players with (again). This time, the squid appears whenever either Hela or Namor get an elimination, shooting at enemies for a few seconds before disappearing on its own.
The main team-up ability is though, is Tidal Dirge. It allows Namor to fire his trident and trigger a strong AoE attack across a large area. Anyone caught in the AoE attack suffers decent damage while also getting slowed down and de-buffed with reduced healing.
It's incredibly easy to use this team-up. The passive squids activate on their own when you get kills, so don’t worry about them and just play like you normally would. On the other hand, Tidal Dirge is super easy to utilize since it’s an AoE attack. Just try to focus on landing the ability near your enemies’ feet.
It goes without saying that the more enemies you catch with it the better. It’s great for dealing with groups. The absolute best use for it, especially in lower ranks, is to catch multiple people with Namor’s ult and then activate it. The ult itself should kill off some people if you use it right. Then, while they’re incapacitated, activate Tidal Dirge on the exact spot as your ult, and that should kill off remaining enemies that you already hit.
Tweaked Team-Ups in Season 4.5
Other than those two new team-ups, here’s what Season 4.5 changed about existing ones.
Hela and Thor’s Team-Up: Ragnarok Rebirth
Thor and Hela’s team-up which immediately revives Thor if he’s dead after Hela gets KO is now removed from the game. It’s been there since launch, and is now finally gone, marking the end of one of the most fun team-ups (at least if you’re a Thor main)
Hulk, Black Panther, and Namor’s Team-Up: Gamma Charge
Marvel Rivals players can finally rejoice, because Namor’s gamma squid is finally gone. It was terrorizing players across all ranks, and constantly getting Hulk banned so Namor couldn’t use it. The team-up itself is still active though, as Black Panther still gets to keep his gamma bubble, which keeps him alive when he falls below a certain HP amount.
