What Is Desert Storm in Last War?

Desert Storm is a special battlefield event where two alliances fight for control over multiple structures scattered across a large desert map. It opens at set times during the week and runs for 30 intense minutes. The goal is to score the most points by capturing and holding buildings.

What's on the Battlefield?

The map is arranged in a ring formation with your alliance's safe zone on one side and the enemy's on the other. Between you is a circle of important structures:

01. Nuclear Silo

Unlocks 10 minutes after the event first begins and it gives huge points and often determines the winner.

02. Oil Refineries

Available from the start. They help generate points over time and are easier to hold so make sure to secure them early.

03. Field Hospitals

There are four and they let your troops recover, which is really important in a drawn-out battle.

04. Tech Center

Boosts march speed and shortens teleport cooldowns which is useful for faster response times.

05. Info Center

Reduces the wait time before captured buildings start producing points. Make sure you capture this early.

06. Arsenal & Mercenary Factory

These unlock 10 minutes in and boosts your alliance’s stats while the Factory weakens your enemy’s. Both are worth fighting for.

07. Oil Fields

Unlock 20 minutes in and give steady points with no capture bonus. Good for solo players.

How Scoring Works?

Every building gives a mix of non-plunderable points that is always yours once earned and plunderable points that can be stolen if you lose the building.

After you hold a structure for 60 seconds, some of its points become plunderable. That’s why last-minute captures matter so much.

Best Strategy for Desert Storm

-- Divide Roles Early

One of the biggest mistakes teams make is everyone rushing the same building at the start. Break your alliance into smaller, focused groups. Your frontline should be made up of high-power players who can fight and hold key structures. Support players can help by reinforcing those buildings or backcapping lightly defended enemy spots. You’ll also want a few players acting as harassers, targeting enemy structures to distract or delay their plans.

-- Secure Field Hospitals First

They are incredibly important especially in longer battles. They allow your troops to recover. If your alliance manages to secure all four early in the match, you’ll have a massive advantage.

-- Coordinate Timed Hits

Use your alliance chat or voice calls to organize group attacks. The Nuclear Silo unlocks exactly at the 10-minute mark. That means your team should be ready and in position by 9:30.

-- Watch the Clock

At the 10-minute mark, the Nuclear Silo, Arsenal, and Mercenary Factory all become available. These buildings give you a good number of benefits. Then at the 20-minute mark, Oil Fields show up. They’re perfect for solo players or backup squads and provide consistent points. Finally, around 29:30, it’s time to take over key buildings and plunder points before the match ends.

Using Teleports Like a Pro

Teleporting is limited but powerful. Don’t waste it just to get closer. Instead save it to reinforce a building under attack, surprise enemies by teleporting behind them and quickly shifting from defense to offense

How to Contribute If You're a F2P Player?

Don’t worry if you’re not a big spender because you can still be incredibly useful. Just be sure to reinforce important buildings. Even low-level troops add durability. You’ll need to occupy oil fields. These don’t require heavy combat and score well over time. Make sure to grab supply boxes. They’re scattered on the map and give extra points. Lastly, wait for enemies to move out, then capture their buildings behind them.

Heroes and Builds That Work Best

The best heroes vary depending on your setup, but here are some generally great choices!

Tanky Frontline: Use heroes with HP and defense boosts.High-Damage Marches: Pair infantry with powerful support for fast clears.Speed Buffers: Useful for Tech Center rushes or Silo contesting.

Make sure your lineups are using synergy and are upgraded. Check talent trees for bonus march speed or healing boosts.

Use the Last War Store Wisely

You may earn honor points and currency from actions like capturing buildings or holding Oil Fields once the battle hits the halfway mark. Head to the Last War Store to pick up boosts and supplies like, March speed boosts, Teleporters, Troop buffs (ATK, DEF, HP) and extra deployment slots. Don’t waste points on cosmetics.

Extra Tips from Veteran Players

Let the enemy hold the Nuclear Silo at first. Then steal it at the 29-minute mark to plunder max points. You can even ghost march. Send fake single-troop marches to bait attacks or confuse enemies. After you take a building, leave 1 hero inside and move the rest to the next objective fast.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Rushing the same building as everyone else. You’ll need to spread out!Always back up buildings under siege.Wasting teleport too early. Not checking timers! Timing is everything in Desert Storm.Going solo without watching your march lines. Easy to get intercepted.

Conclusion

Desert Storm in Last War isn’t just about brute strength. It’s about reading the battlefield, moving smart, and supporting your alliance. If your alliance works together like healing, reinforcing, and rotating positions then you’ll have the edge even against stronger opponents.

Make sure you’re prepped with a Last War Top-up before you go in, and don’t forget to check out the Last War Store for really great upgrades. With the right teamwork and a solid plan, you’ll crush the Desert Storm leaderboard in no time.
