Kingshot VIP has two separate systems — level and activation — and confusing them wastes thousands of gems. Here is every tier benefit from VIP 1 to VIP 12, the exact XP thresholds, and which levels are actually worth the cost.
VIP in Kingshot works differently from most strategy games, and that gap between expectation and reality is where most players waste their gems. The system has two completely independent components — VIP Level and VIP Time — and having one without the other produces nothing. Getting clear on how both work before spending a single gem is the first step toward extracting real value from the system. Players keeping their gem balance ready for VIP activation or level upgrades can manage their LootBar Kingshot top-up before committing to a monthly activation cycle.

VIP Level vs VIP Time: Two Separate Systems
VIP Level is permanent. It is earned by accumulating VIP XP through daily logins, Alliance Store purchases, events, and achievements. Once a level is reached, it never decreases. The level determines which perks are unlocked and available — but having the level does nothing on its own.
VIP Time is temporary. Spending gems activates VIP perks for a set period. When VIP Time expires, every perk switches off immediately — the march queue shrinks back, speed bonuses disappear, and the daily bundle stops. The VIP level stays but nothing works until reactivated. This is the most common VIP mistake: raising the level without activating time, or activating time without having a level that unlocks worthwhile perks.
VIP Time activation costs gems in three options. The 24-hour pass costs 1,000 gems at 1,000 gems per day. The 7-day pass costs 3,000 gems at approximately 429 gems per day. The 30-day pass costs 10,000 gems at approximately 333 gems per day. The 30-day pass is the only option worth using — it costs roughly three times less per day than the 24-hour option. Activating VIP inconsistently — one month on, one month off — is worse than not activating at all, because the extra march queue and speed bonuses disappear during the gap and disrupt every gathering and training routine built around them.
Free VIP XP Sources: Reach VIP 4 Without Spending
VIP XP from free sources adds up to roughly 200 to 500 per day depending on Alliance Store availability and event participation. The daily login claim on the VIP screen provides a base amount that scales with login streak. The Alliance Store sells VIP XP bundles for Alliance Coins and should be the first priority spend in that shop. Various events include VIP XP in their milestone reward tracks, and certain achievements also grant XP one-time.
At 500 free XP per day, VIP 4 — which requires 12,500 cumulative XP — is reachable in approximately 40 days of consistent play without spending a single gem on XP. Buying VIP XP directly with gems costs 2 gems per 1 XP and is one of the worst value trades in the game. Free sources always cover XP; gems should go toward activation time only.
VIP 1 Through VIP 4: Minor Gains Until the First Real Perk
VIP 1 requires no XP to unlock and provides Resource Production Speed +2% and Storehouse Capacity +100K. VIP 2 at 2,500 cumulative XP increases those to +4% production and +150K storage. VIP 3 at 5,000 XP reaches +6% production and +200K storage. None of these levels justify paying 10,000 gems per month to activate — the resource bumps are negligible and the Storehouse increases are minor.
VIP 4 at 12,500 cumulative XP is where the system becomes worth engaging with. It unlocks Construction Speed +10% — the first perk that saves meaningful time on building upgrades — alongside Resource Production Speed +8% and Storehouse Capacity +300K. VIP 4 is the earliest point at which activating VIP Time makes practical sense. Reaching it through free XP sources takes roughly 40 days and costs no gems.
VIP 5 Through VIP 7: The High-Value Zone Including the Best Unlock in the Game
VIP 5 at 30,000 cumulative XP adds Formation Slots +1 alongside the existing construction and production bonuses. An extra formation slot allows saving an additional troop preset, which matters for players who switch between rally, defense, and gathering setups regularly.
VIP 6 at 40,000 cumulative XP unlocks March Queue +1. This is the single most impactful VIP perk in the entire system. The extra march allows sending a gathering march, a rally reinforcement, and a personal march simultaneously. During KvK and Bear Hunt, that additional queue directly affects resource generation and event participation without forcing the governor to choose between activities. VIP 6 is the primary milestone for competitive players and the level that justifies sustained monthly activation.
VIP 7 at 60,000 cumulative XP raises Resource Production Speed to +14% and Storehouse Capacity to +600K. No new mechanic unlocks at VIP 7 — it is an incremental stat increase over VIP 6. Players should not stress about pushing from VIP 6 to VIP 7 quickly; the extra march queue is already active and the production gains at VIP 7 are marginal.
VIP 8 and VIP 9: The F2P Ceiling With the First Combat Stats
VIP 8 at 100,000 cumulative XP upgrades Formation Slots from +1 to +2 and improves the daily free bundle. At VIP 8 and above, the Daily Free Bundle — claimable once per day while VIP Time is active — begins including Mythic-tier hero shards alongside the usual construction and resource items. Over 30 days of active VIP, those daily bundles compound into a meaningful hero progression supplement.
VIP 9 at 350,000 XP required for that single level — more than the total XP needed to reach VIP 8 from zero — is where construction speed doubles to +20% and the first troop combat stat appears: Squads' Defense +10%. This is the realistic ceiling for F2P and low spenders. At 500 free XP per day, the 350,000 XP for VIP 9 alone takes roughly 700 days. Most active players reach it in 1.5 to 2 years through consistent daily logins and Alliance Store purchases.
One clarification worth noting: some guides list a second construction queue as a VIP 8 perk. In the game, the permanent second building queue is a separate one-time purchase — the Construction Queue Pack — and is not tied to any VIP level. It is one of the best low-spender purchases in the game regardless of VIP level.
VIP 10 Through VIP 12: Whale Territory
VIP 10 requires 600,000 XP at that level and unlocks Squads' Attack +12% alongside the existing defense buff, raising the total combat stat package. Construction speed stays locked at +20% from VIP 9 onward — the improvements at VIP 10 through 12 are entirely troop combat stats.
VIP 11 at 1,200,000 XP adds Squads' Health +14%. VIP 12 at 2,400,000 XP completes the combat stat set with Squads' Lethality +16%. The cumulative XP to reach VIP 12 from scratch is 4,800,000 — the equivalent of roughly 9,600,000 gems if purchased directly, or approximately $19,200 at standard gem rates. The troop stat buffs at these levels matter for top-tier rally leads in high-end KvK competition, but for the vast majority of players the gems are better allocated to heroes, gear, and sustained VIP 6 activation.
Conclusion
VIP 4 is where activation starts making sense — Construction Speed +10% produces daily time savings on every building upgrade queue. VIP 6 is the target for any player engaged in competitive events, because March Queue +1 directly affects KvK resource generation and event participation. VIP 9 is the F2P ceiling where the +20% construction speed and first troop defense stat make the grind worthwhile, but reaching it takes nearly two years of free XP accumulation.
For most players, the correct strategy is: accumulate free VIP XP daily without spending gems on it, activate 30-day VIP Time only once VIP 6 is reached, and maintain that monthly activation consistently rather than on-and-off. Inconsistent activation undermines the march queue benefit that makes VIP 6 valuable in the first place.
