Should You Join the Factions?

The factions and you being a part of it are mainly to determine where you will be in the Copper Wars. Sadly, you are limited to two factions, but there are multiple warzones. In the Copper Wars, the faction you choose will have to fight against the other faction for the Copper Wars. You will get the notice about the event at the end of week two. Moreover, during the event, you can freely move around the eight warzones. The start of the faction selection happens in three parts or phases:

  • Phase 1 - Selecting The Leader.

  • Phase 2 - Selecting The Faction.

  • Phase 3 - The Notice

So, should you participate in this event and join a faction? Yes! You absolutely should take part in the event. In Last War: Survival, resources are king. The Copper Wars get you these resources and various rewards. If you want to skip the grind, you can go to Last War store to easily get the resources.

Phase 1 - Selecting The Leader

The event will start with the selection of the faction leaders. Leaders of the factions are selected by the system. You will be selected as the leader based on the overall power across multiple dimensions, the number of active players, the power of individual players, past event participation, and many more factors. After the leaders have been selected, they will decide the division of the factions by a coin toss.

Phase 2 - Selecting The Faction

The second phase of the whole process is up to you. Once the Faction Leaders choose their faction, you can choose your faction at the faction choosing phase. Every faction switch will have a cooldown. If the President wants to join an already full faction, the President can force-join their warzone into it by removing a random warzone of the same faction from the other faction.

How to select the faction? You are free to choose however you want. If you have a set of online friends from your alliance, go for that. Follow your heart when it matters. Otherwise, if you are looking at it logically, go for the leader who has a better track record.

Sometimes you might not know them, but life is always a game of dice. Your choice and the choice of others will stay hidden. But you can choose to reveal it. That decision depends on you. Regardless of whether you choose a faction or not, you will be assigned to a faction randomly if you don’t make a selection.

Phase 3 - The Notice

After the entire selection process, you will get the notice of the final grouping of the factions. Currently, you can view all the other presidents. At this time, people who have not made the choice will be assigned to a particular faction depending on their power and the combined power of the faction. Basically, it is done to equalise the power levels of the two factions. Furthermore, you will also see the record log in the event tab.

What Happens After Selecting Factions?

The whole faction selection process is the preparation for the Copper Wars. The Copper Wars will start on the first day of the fourth week. With the two factions, you can alternate between attack and defence. Your faction’s role will change over the period of the event. But that Copper War is an entire task in and of itself.

So, what are the pros? Your participation in any of the events in Last War: Survival can guarantee that you get rewards. These rewards can be in the form of limited-time in-game goodies or resources within the game. So, you have nothing to lose by participating and joining a faction.

You will only find things to be a drawback when your faction lets you down. At times, the faction will be inactive. Granted, you won’t lose anything, but neither can you maximise the rewards. But understand that it is a part of life. It is full of ups and downs. So, when your faction loses, don’t lose hope; keep fighting on. When the next event comes by, you can win better rewards.

Conclusion

Factions in Last War: Survival is the main component that prepares you for the Copper Wars. Whether you are in Kage no Sato or Koubutai, do your level best to win the round. Moreover, ensure that you have fun. In the end, we all play games to have fun, so never forget it, even when you are grinding. May your battles be fruitful and victorious.
