When is Identity V Season 41 coming out?

Identity V’s 41st season is slated to come out on February 5, 2026. The season comes directly after Season 40, which saw the Call of the Abyss IX essence being treated as that season’s third essence. Of course, this season will bring its share of awesome costumes that players can get their hands on through LootBar’s services.

As for the actual season, the first essence is based on the rulers of day and night. The promotional material suggests that the season will revolve around concepts of day and night, and light and darkness. Because of this, players can expect costumes with themes of the sun and moon during this Essence.

The first essence will conclude around February 26, at which point Essence 2 of Season 41 will kick off. This essence is more focused on secrets and nightmares, suggesting that costumes this time around could be more secretive. It wouldn't be surprising if most costumes utilize darker colors to account for the nightmarish theme.

What major addition is coming to Identity V Season 41?

Identity V Matador

The biggest addition that Season 41 brings to Identity V is the new survivor, Matador. Wearing a traditional tuxedo that bull-fighters wear, along with having a rose in his front pocket and holding his trusty red cloth, Matador is a contain/assist-type survivor.

Agility is the name of the game when it comes to the Matador. He uses his Muleta to protect himself against some attacks and most debuffs. He can also hit hunters to knock them back or slow them, and his dash attacks are invaluable when attempting to escape from skilled hunters.

While his abilities are already great as a solo survivor, his buffs also extend to his teammates. Using the Muleta, he can protect his teammates or pull them along with himself when he dashes. Pair all of this with his increased vaulting speed, and the Matador can very well join Season 41’s meta as one of the best survivors in the game.

Just like every other season, Identity V’s Season 41 will bring multiple costumes through events and limited-time celebrations as the season continues. However, most of them will require players to spend some sort of premium currency.

Those who know about the Logic Path system in this game will want to know which costumes they can expect in Season 41.

The highlight of Identity V Season 41 Essence 1 is definitely the Matador. To celebrate the new survivor’s release, he’ll be getting the S-tier Dasein costume. This costume gives the survivor a majestic look, as he wears clothes that consist of white and gold colors. His usually black hair is turned blonde, while his eyes are blue in this costume. His trusty Muleta goes from being red to blue with hints of gold and white. It’s a costume that perfectly reflects the season’s theme, and will definitely boost this character’s popularity right out the gate.

Of course, other characters will also get some awesome costumes. The Priestess gets the A-tier Dawn of the White Flame costume that sees her wear a pink and gray flower-themed dress with thorns surrounding her arms. She has what seem like antlers, which complement her nature-loving personality.

While the Priestess gets a shining costume, the Cuist gets a dark one. His A-tier Dusk of Dark Requiem costume turns the character into an agent of the night, complete with a black coat. His left arm and leg seem to be made of something resembling wood, as he constantly wears a longing look on his face.

The following characters will get B-tier costumes in this Essence:

  • Composer

  • Evil Reptilian

  • The Feaster

  • The Shadow

The Coordinator highlights Season 41 Essence 2 with her S-tier Ballad of the Emerald Lark costume. Martha hadn’t gotten some love in a while, and this season will seemingly change that. Not much is known about the skin and its animations, but players will likely learn more as the Essence’s release date nears.

As for the A-tier costumes, players can expect the Cernunnos skin for the Gamekeeper and the Robin skin for the Lanternist. Finally, the only character confirmed to get a B-tier limited-time costume in Season 41 Essence 2 so far is Little Girl. However, at least three more characters will be included in this lineup and will also be revealed later.

Conclusion

Identity V Season 41 has a lot to live up to, since it’s coming directly after the Call of the Abyss season. Still, a new character more than sets the bar for what players can expect when it comes to new crossovers and events. With so many awesome limited-time costumes already confirmed, those who want to ensure they don’t miss out on getting some cool costumes for their favorite characters may want to buy Identity V Echoes sooner rather than later.
