What is the Identity V x Fabulous Beasts Crossover?

The Identity V x Fabulous Beasts Crossover merges the game we all know and love with Chinese Mythology. Fabulous Beast (You Shou Yan) is a well-known piece of Chinese literature, where animals can transform into humans. Of course, the crossover aims to honor this by giving some fan-favorite characters hybrid costumes that players can easily obtain by utilizing LootBar’s services.

Players can expect this crossover to start on February 12, 2026. However, it’s unknown when it’ll end, so you may want to try to get everything done quickly.

All Identity V x Fabulous Beasts costumes and emotes

Four characters are featured in this crossover. All of these characters get their own persona that’s based on a Fabulous Beasts individual, and players can also participate in the event to get a special emote for every character. It’s important to note that all of these costumes are A-tier.

Night Watch (Si Bu Xiang)

Night Watch A-Tier Costume - Sibuxiang in Identity V

The first costume is the Si Bu Xiang for the Night Watch. It wouldn’t be a stretch to call this the highlight costume for this event, considering it’s the most visually impressive. Giving the fan-favorite character a mask to cover his top form, as well as a red cape and ears to really cement the fact that he’s part animal, was an excellent decision.

When in the lobby room, players can have this costume transform into a deer. The Si Bu Xiang is a unique Chinese species that has the antler of a deer, the neck of a camel, the hooves of a cow, and the tail of a donkey. While the neck isn’t as long as one would assume it would be, the character still has a cool look, especially when he leaps in the air in his idle animation.

The A-tier Si Bu Xiang costume for Night Watch will be obtainable from the in-game store for Echoes. Players can also get the Leisure emote for him in the event.

Mercenary (Tian Lu)

Mercenary A-Tier Costume - Tianlu in Identity V

Next is the Tian Lu costume for the Mercenary. Those familiar with Chinese mythology will likely know that Tian Lu has one horn to signify wealth and guarding against evil. The character has the infamous horn, and his clothing reflects the wealth aspect of his lore. With white braids, koala ears, and a white fur coat that screams luxury, this costume is the opposite of what the Mercenary would ever wear in his actual lore.

As for his lobby transformation, the Mercenary transforms into a tiny lion-like cub. With a bushy blue tail, his singular horn standing tattoo, and two koala ears being almost half as large as his head, this is definitely the cutest transformation of the bunch.

The A-tier Tian Lu costume for Mercenary will be obtainable from the in-game store for Echoes. Players can also get the Fall Asleep emote for him in the event.

Grave Keeper (Tony)

Grave Keeper A-Tier Costume - Tony in Identity V

Tony is a fan-favorite character in Fabulous Beasts for being a Moon Rabbit who descends to Earth to help humans. The Grave Keeper is the character lucky enough to get a persona based on this character. With large bunny ears that flap alongside his head, and a purple and peach color scheme attached to his clothes, he definitely seems like someone from another planet.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Tony persona without the character transforming into the beloved Moon Rabbit. The transformation turns Grave Keeper into a brown rabbit with white fur under his neck, and pink, rosy cheeks, giving him an adorable look that anyone would want to fall for.

The A-tier Tony costume for Grave Keeper will be obtainable for free by participating in the event. Players can also get the Bloom emote for him in the event.

Perfumer (Tu Bao Shu)

Perfumer A-Tier Costume - Tubaoshu in Identity V

The final character in the Identity V x Fabulous Beasts crossover is Tu Bao Shu. Known as the Jewel-Spitting Mongoose, this creature can spit jewels from her mouth, so it makes sense that this persona belongs to the rich Perfumer. With white and pink koala-like ears and pink hair complementing her blue clothes, this Perfumer costume is one of the most colorful costumes she has so far.

As for the transformation, Perfumer’s transformation is fairly simple. She turns into a white Mongoose with red jewels attached to her ears, giving them the shape of windchimes. Of course, her idle animation sees her spit out a jewel from her mouth, in typical Fabulous Beasts fashion.

The A-tier Tu Bao Shu costume for Perfumer will be obtainable from the in-game store for Echoes. Players can also get the Livestream emote for her in the event.

All Identity V x Fabulous Beasts accessories

Those who are serious Fabulous Beasts fans will want to get everything the crossover has to offer. Therefore, learning about the accessories is crucial before the event starts. Below are the three accessories players will find in the shop when the crossover starts:

  • Mercenary A-Tier Pixiu Doll Accessory

  • Night Watch A-Tier Pixiu Heart Lock Accessory

  • Perfumer A-Tier Cintamani Bracelet Accessory

This isn’t all, as players can also get the Grave Keeper A-Tier Ultimate Carrot Accessory as an event reward. However, if you want to get the rest of the accessories and costumes, then you’ll have to top up Identity V on LootBar.

Conclusion

The Identity V x Fabulous Beasts crossover is here just in time for Lunar New Year. While anime-related crossovers seemingly won’t be happening for a while, it’s nice to see Identity V players still get some high-quality events, especially those with free event rewards associated with them.
