Firefly is a 5-star Fire Destruction character who functions as a Break DPS character in Honkai: Star Rail. Firefly Character Overview

Firefly represents one of Honkai: Star Rail's Break DPS. Her position as a main Break DPS allows her to deal as much Toughness damage which translates to high Super Break DMG when the enemies' Toughness bar is depleted. As a 5-star Destruction character, she excels at dealing Blast-wide Toughness damage at high speed.

Firefly’s gameplay revolves around entering her Complete Combustion state after using her Ultimate. Her Skill generates Energy based on her Max Energy which allows her to use her Ultimate in 2 uses of her Skill assuming there's no additional source while also advances her action by 25%. In addition, Firefly will have increased SPD, Weakness Break Efficiency, and increased Break DMG during her Complete Combustion state.

2. F2P Options

On the Fall of an Aeon serves as the current best F2P option for Firefly as it provides stackable ATK% when attacking. The ATK% is then converted to Break Effect% through her Major Trace which increases her Break DMG. However, even though the second effect of this light cone increases DMG% after breaking an enemy, it does not increase Firefly Break DMG as Break DMG doesn't factor in DMG%.

The 4-piece Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge set is the best choice, increasing Break Effect by 16% and Break DMG ignores 10% DEF. Additionally, the Super Break DMG ignores DEF by an additional 15% if the wearer's Break Effect is 250% or higher.

Alternatively, 4-piece Thief of Shooting Meteor is also a good choice as it provides Break Effect and regenerate Energy on inflicting Weakness Break.

Firefly Eidolons

Eidolon 1

Firefly's E1 allows her to use her Enhanced Skill with no SP cost and additionally ignores 15% DEF which increases her Break DMG significantly as she has a lot of DEF Shred in combat.

Eidolon 2

Firefly's E2 is the highest priority for her investment as it gives Firefly an extra turn after breaking or defeating an enemy allowing her to dish out more damage before the enemy recovers from Weakness Broken state.

Eidolon 4

Firefly's E4 is probably the least priority for Firefly's investment breakpoint as it only gives her 50% Effect RES which does not really help her do more damage aside from resisting Crowd Control effect.

Eidolon 6

Firefly's E6 provides Fire RES PEN by 20% and increases her Weakness Break Efficiency (this increases her Super Break DMG as it scales with it). However, going to her E6 might take a lot of your resources so E2 is probably her best stopping point.
