Anomaly Arbitration Overview
Anomaly Arbitration is currently one of the hardest endgame challenges in Honkai: Star Rail. The mode requires players to clear three separate Knight encounters, each using a different team, for a total of up to 9 stars. After defeating the Knights, players can move on to the final King in Check stage, where only one team is needed. While it is possible to challenge the King before clearing all Knight stages, doing so makes the boss much stronger, so it is usually better to finish the Knights first before attempting the final fight.

| Depowered | When entering combat, reduces ally target's Energy by 50% and decreases their Energy Regeneration Rate by 50% outside of their turn for 2 turn(s). |
| Flow Break | Each time after an enemy target is attacked by allies, DMG taken by them decreases by 2% and CRIT DMG taken decreases by 4%, stacking up to 10 time(s). This effect changes to decreasing by 5 stack(s) after the enemy target receives a Follow-Up ATK or when Aha Instant ends. |

Ashveil | Mortenax Blade | Tribbie | Hyacine |
Silver Wolf LV999 | Yao Guang | Sparxie | HuoHuo |
Acheron | Mortenax Blade | Welt | Hyacine |
Firefly | The Dahlia | Fugue | Trailblazer (Harmony) |
For the first Knight, a wide range of teams can work, so this stage is not locked to only one archetype. However, the strongest options are usually Elation teams and Follow-Up Attack teams, mainly because they can take better advantage of the stage debuff and maintain strong damage pressure. Teams built around Ashveil and Mortenax Blade perform especially well here, since they can trigger frequent attacks while benefiting from the debuff setup.
Acheron teams are also a strong choice, especially when paired with Mortenax Blade, as the extra debuff application helps her generate stacks more consistently and push damage faster. Super Break teams can also clear this stage effectively because they do not rely on Crit DMG in the same way traditional DPS teams do. Since Break damage is not affected by the Crit DMG reduction, Super Break lineups can ignore one of the stage’s most annoying mechanics and focus on breaking the enemy instead.

Evanescia | Yao Guang | Trailblazer (Elation) | HuoHuo |
Ashveil | Mortenax Blade | Tribbie | Hyacine |
Phainon | Cyrene | Cerydra | Trailblazer (Remembrance) |
The second Knight stage is more about consistency and survivability than pure damage output. The stage effect lowers the damage dealt by all allies by 20%, but also reduces incoming damage by 10%, making the fight slightly slower while giving your team a bit more room to survive. Because of this, teams with strong scaling, reliable supports, and steady damage rotations tend to perform the best here.
Silver Wolf LV999 teams can work very well on this stage, especially when paired with Yao Guang, Sparxie, and HuoHuo.
Evanescia teams are also a strong option. A lineup with Evanescia, Yao Guang, Trailblazer (Elation), and HuoHuo works well because it has both strong offensive support and reliable healing.
Another very strong choice is an Ashveil and Mortenax Blade team. With Ashveil, Mortenax Blade, Tribbie, and Hyacine, the team has excellent synergy.
Phainon teams can also perform well, especially with a strong support core. A lineup with Phainon, Cyrene, Cerydra, and Trailblazer (Remembrance) gives Phainon the tools needed to carry the stage through strong buffs and consistent support. This team is a good choice if your Elation or Follow-Up units are needed for another Knight stage.

Castorice | Evernight | Cyrene | Hyacine |
Evernight | Trailblazer (Remembrance) | Cyrene | Hyacine |
Ashveil | Mortenax Blade | Tribbie | Hyacine |
Silver Wolf LV999 | Yao Guang | Sparxie | HuoHuo |
Acheron | Mortenax Blade | Welt | Hyacine |
For the third Knight, the main danger comes from the stage effect that causes all allies to lose 500 HP at the start of their turns. Since this HP loss can be fatal, this stage is much more punishing than it looks. Teams that take too many turns without healing can quickly fall apart, especially if the sustain is too weak or if the team relies on low-HP setups.
Because of this, the best teams for this stage are usually those with strong healing, shields, or HP-based survivability. Castorice teams can work very well here because HP loss can help charge her newbud while Hyacine keeps the team alive. Evernight teams are also a safe option, especially when paired with Trailblazer (Remembrance), Cyrene, and Hyacine, since they have strong defensive value and steady damage.
Ashveil and Mortenax Blade teams can also perform well if paired with a strong sustain like Hyacine. This setup gives the team enough safety to survive the HP drain while still keeping good damage pressure. Silver Wolf LV999 teams with Yao Guang, Sparxie, and HuoHuo are another strong option because HuoHuo can help offset the constant HP loss while the team maintains strong offensive tempo.
Acheron teams can also clear this stage, especially with Mortenax Blade and Welt. Mortenax Blade helps with debuff application, while Welt can provide extra control and slow down enemy pressure. However, because the HP loss can be fatal, this team should ideally run with a reliable sustain like Hyacine.

Evanescia | Yao Guang | Trailblazer (Elation) | HuoHuo |
Phainon | Cyrene | Cerydra | Dan Heng PT |
Evernight | Trailblazer (Remembrance) | Cyrene | Hyacine |
Ashveil and Mortenax Blade teams are one of the best choices for King in Check. With Tribbie and Hyacine, this lineup has strong damage pressure, good Follow-Up and debuff synergy, and enough sustain to survive the HP drain. Silver Wolf LV999 teams with Yao Guang, Sparxie, and HuoHuo can also perform well, offering strong offensive pressure with reliable healing.
Evanescia teams are another excellent option, especially with Yao Guang, Trailblazer (Elation), and HuoHuo. This team benefits strongly from the Elation-focused buff and can keep a stable rotation throughout the fight. Phainon teams with Cyrene, Cerydra, and Dan Heng PT can also work well as a powerful hypercarry-style option, while Evernight teams with Trailblazer (Remembrance), Cyrene, and Hyacine provide a safer and more stable approach.
Conclusion
Anomaly Arbitration 4.3 is one of the toughest endgame challenges in Honkai: Star Rail, but the stages become much easier once you understand which teams fit each mechanic. The Knight stages require careful lineup planning, since you need multiple different teams before reaching the final King in Check boss. Elation and Follow-Up Attack, strong sustain-based teams all have clear places in this rotation, depending on the enemy traits and stage effects.
