The Wonder Egg Hunt runs from April 4 to 27 in Heartopia. Here is every egg location around Central Square, the milestone rewards for each stage, and how the Revival Hymn event runs alongside it.
The Wonder Egg Hunt is one of two Spring events running simultaneously in Heartopia under the My Easter Egg Pact banner. Eight Easter eggs have been scattered around Central Square, each displaying the face of a town resident. Photographing every egg earns individual ornaments plus milestone rewards at two, four, and six eggs — and completing all eight secures the full collection before the event closes on April 27 at 5:59 AM server time.
Both events launched on April 4 at 6 AM and share the same run period, but they operate as separate progression systems. The Wonder Egg Hunt is purely about locating and photographing the eight eggs. The Revival Hymn runs alongside it with its own daily task loop and currency. This guide focuses on the egg hunt — all eight locations, the exact rewards at each milestone, and how to claim them correctly. Players who want to keep their Heartopia account ready for premium pulls between events can top up through LootBar.
How the Wonder Egg Hunt Works
All eight eggs are placed within the Central Square area — there is no need to explore remote parts of the map. Each egg shows the face of one of Heartopia's town residents, making them identifiable once the player knows what to look for. The mechanic requires using the in-game camera rather than simply walking past the egg.
To photograph an egg: walk up close to it, open the camera interface using the icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, frame the egg until the camera detects it, then press the shutter button to capture the photo. After photographing, head to the Wonder Egg Hunt tab in the events menu and click the gift icon in the progression bar to actually claim the ornament. Photographing the egg without claiming through the event tab means the reward sits uncollected.
The eight eggs were released in two phases. The first four — Annie, Atara, Bob, and Dorothee — were available from Day 1 on April 4. The remaining four unlocked on Day 2, April 5. As of now all eight are active and can be photographed in any order during a single visit to Central Square.
All Eight Egg Locations in Central Square
- Bob's Easter Egg sits on top of the umbrella outside Bob's Furniture Store, facing Central Plaza. It is one of the more visible eggs once the player knows to look upward rather than at ground level.
- The second egg rests on the right flipper of the dolphin fountain in the center of Central Square, positioned next to the egg balloons decorating the fountain. Standing at the fountain and looking right at the dolphin's flipper brings it into view.
- Atara's Easter Egg is behind a pillar at the entrance of Central Plaza. Moving to the plaza entrance and checking behind the nearest pillar rather than looking out into the square locates it.
- Annie's Easter Egg floats outside the first-floor window of the Clothing Shop, on the left side of Bob's Furniture Store. Approaching the shop from the street and checking the window at eye level finds it.
- Dorothee's Easter Egg is in the same window position but at the Pet Shop — Mrs. Joan's store. Moving to the Pet Shop and checking the first-floor window from outside reveals it floating just beyond the glass.
- The sixth egg is outside Mrs. Joan's Pet Shop itself, following a similar placement pattern. Players who thoroughly check the exterior of each shop along the Central Square line rather than focusing only on open areas will pick these up naturally.
- The seventh egg is tucked next to the birdbath on the left side of the stairs leading up to Bailey J's Store. It sits close to ground level near the birdbath basin rather than on top of it — checking the left side of the stairs specifically rather than the stairs themselves finds it.
- The eighth egg is one of the most-missed locations: it is hidden in a spot that requires the player to check an angle they would not normally explore during regular movement through the square. Circling the full perimeter of Central Square and checking behind objects rather than only in front of them covers the remaining egg for players who have found seven and cannot locate the last one.
Milestone Rewards: What You Earn at Each Stage
The Wonder Egg Hunt pays out rewards at four cumulative milestones across the eight eggs. Each individual egg photographed produces that resident's Easter Egg Ornament — a decorative item specific to that character. The milestone rewards on top of the ornaments are the three exclusive items most players are aiming for.
Finding two eggs earns the Easter Egg Balloon Bouquet, an exclusive handheld item. Finding four eggs — the halfway point after Day 1's full set — unlocks the Revival Bunny Eggshell Hat. Finding six eggs produces the Revival Hymn Top Hat despite its name referencing the companion event; it is earned through the egg hunt progression, not through the Revival Hymn token system. Finding all eight eggs completes the individual ornament collection and means all three milestone items have been claimed.
The Revival Hymn Top Hat name causes confusion because players assume it is earned through the Revival Hymn daily task loop. It is not. It is a Wonder Egg Hunt milestone tied to the sixth egg found. Anyone who has been grinding Revival Hymn tasks expecting the hat to appear in that event's exchange store will not find it there — it comes from egg photography.
Revival Hymn: The Companion Event Running Alongside the Hunt
The Revival Hymn runs on the same April 4 to 27 schedule but operates as a separate progression system. Daily tasks across the game's core activities — fishing, insect catching, birdwatching, cooking, gardening, and foraging — generate Spirit's Bunny Pom-Poms, the event currency. Pom-Poms are exchanged at the limited-time Exchange Store, which stays open from April 4 through April 30.
The Exchange Store carries spring-themed rewards in limited quantities — once stock of a specific item is claimed it does not restock. Players who want every item from the store should prioritise completing daily tasks consistently rather than leaving Pom-Pom farming to the final days of the event.
A crafting feature is exclusive to this event: the Hand-Painted Easter Egg recipe. Players who unlock it can craft the Hand-Painted Easter Egg Ornament at the Workbench, then head to the Drawing Board and select New Drawing to access the Hand-Painted Easter Egg Canvas. This is the first new canvas type added to Heartopia, allowing fully custom Easter egg designs. The canvas and recipe are time-limited and will not be available after the event period ends.
Both events share the Central Square location, which makes combining them during a single session efficient. Tick off egg photographs while working on the activity-based Pom-Pom tasks since fishing, insect catching, and birdwatching spots exist throughout the same general area.
Tips to Make Sure Nothing Gets Missed Before April 27
The single most important habit for this event is claiming rewards through the event tab after each photograph rather than assuming the ornament arrives automatically. Multiple players have photographed eggs and then found the ornament missing because they did not click the gift icon in the progression bar after each capture. Open the Wonder Egg Hunt event section and manually claim after every single egg.
Day 2 eggs are live as of April 5, meaning all eight are currently available in a single visit. Players who started on Day 1 and only found four should return to Central Square immediately — the second half of the eggs does not require waiting for a later date. The eggs stay visible throughout the event period and do not despawn between sessions.
For the Exchange Store, limited quantities mean prioritising the items that matter most before the supply runs out. The store stays open until April 30 — three days after the egg hunt ends — but Pom-Poms can only be earned while the Revival Hymn activities are active through April 27. Saving exchange decisions for the last day risks missing items that sold out earlier.
Conclusion
The Wonder Egg Hunt is one of the most contained events in Heartopia — all eight eggs sit within Central Square, the photography mechanic is straightforward, and the milestone rewards come directly from the eggs rather than from a separate currency. The Revival Bunny Eggshell Hat at four eggs and the Revival Hymn Top Hat at six are the most desirable exclusive items and both require photographing and claiming through the event tab rather than through the companion event's store. With the April 27 deadline approaching, completing the full egg set as soon as possible leaves the remaining days free for Pom-Pom farming and Exchange Store purchases.
