Evos have been really boring and uncreative in FC 26 since the whole Silver Gullit incident back in January. Going on an Adventure isn’t all that bad though, with some decent chains possible if you need a free but reliable LB in your team. These chains don’t require any paid evos except for one, and that one’s only 20k as well.
Still, if you need FC 26 coins for that evo or to get any players you want to use, go to LootBar for the best prices. That said, here’s who we recommend using the Going on an Adventure evolution on, as well as what other evolutions to chain with it.

Going on an Adventure Evo in FC 26 – 4 Good Picks
86-OVR Cornerstones Alejandro Balde
Balde is easily one of the best picks for this evolution because of his pace, body type, and base Playstyles. At the end of this short chain he gets 94 Pace, 89 Passing and Dribbling, 86 Defending, 83 Physicality, base Anticipate, Quick Step, Intercept, Relentless, Jockey, and Slide Tackle. Here’s how it goes:
- Climb The Ladder for a physical and defensive boost.
- Going on an Adventure.
The only downside to this evo is that his Playstyle+ is Aerial Fortress, which isn’t amazing for a LB. Still, it’s better than the Whipped+ he would have if you just used Going on an Adventure. If you’ve used Balde before, you know he plays way better than his stats suggest in-game, and all those great base Playstyles really make this card feel like a steal.
86-OVR World Tour Carlos Augusto
This one’s a longer chain, but it leads to an amazing Gullit Gang card. The only reason why it’s below Balde is because this evo uses a Carlos Augusto World Tour card from the Season 2 pass, which most players might not even have by now. But, if you somehow do still have him, put him through this exact chain:
- Calm & Collected.
- Climb The Ladder.
- Midfield Dynamo to give him CDM and better stats. (20k coins)
- Going on an Adventure to wrap it up.
At the end of all this, this card will have 89 Pace, 83 Shooting, 91 Passing, 89 Dribbling, 90 Defending, and 87 Physicality. He also has Jockey+, base Anticipate, Press Proven, Intercept, Aerial Fortress, Relentless, and even Pinged Pass along with other base Playstyles. His stats and base Playstyles are perfect for both CDM or LB, but Jockey+ makes him more enticing as a fullback than as a midfielder. For only 20k, this is a great card that would be worth way more on the market.
86-OVR Winter Wildcards Luke Shaw
Man United’s Shaw isn’t a bad option for this evolution at all for anyone with a PL team that needs a new LB or CB. His Winter Wildcards has both positions and fits into Going on an Adventure. With this easy chain, he can get great stats for either position:
- Climb the Ladder to give him base Aerial Fortress.
- Midfield Dynamo.
- Going on an Adventure.
Shaw gets 89 Pace, 91 Passing, 89 Dribbling, 90 Defending, and 88 Physicality from this chain. His height is on the shorter side for CB, but the extra physicality, base Bruiser, and base Aerial Fortress from this chain more than make up for it. He’s got great pace for a CB, and his defensive abilities are good at both LB and CB. With Jockey+, base Anticipate, Long Ball, Intercept, Slide Tackle, and everything else we’ve mentioned, he plays like a beast in-game.
86-OVR Base Hero Jamie Carragher
If you’re a Liverpool fan and run a PL team but don’t want to use Luke Shaw for this evo, you’re in luck because Jamie Carragher fits as well! Put him through the exact same evolution chain as Shaw and you end up with a card that has 88 Pace, 90 Passing, 86 Dribbling, 90 Defending, 90 Physicality, Block+, and the ability to play literally anywhere in defence (CDM, LB, CB, RB).
His base Playstyles are great for defence too, since he has Intercept, Anticipate, Press Proven, Slide Tackle, Jockey, and Aerial Fortress. He’s taller than Shaw as well at 6’1’’, which makes him an even more reliable pick for CB. If you want to evo him, the other three options, or any other FC 26 players, get them through LootBar without worrying about grind or coins.
Conclusion
Going on an Adventure isn’t an amazing evolution by any means, but it’s relatively better than everything else we’ve been getting the past few weeks. Try out these cards if you need a defender and you definitely won’t be disappointed. Or get top-tier LBs like TOTY Nuno Mendes, Future Stars Carreras, and more after you buy FC 26 coins from LootBar.
