All new NIKKE summer update characters
Those who have been playing Goddess of Victory: NIKKE for a while will likely know that the game usually releases new characters in pairs, and the same is true for the summer update. This time, the two new characters that players can acquire are Dorothy and Elegg. Of course, they aren’t the ones you may be used to.

►SSR Dorothy: Serendipity
First up is Dorothy: Serendipity. Being the first limited Pilgrim and also the first Pilgrim whose banner was released outside of an anniversary or New Year’s event, this SSR NIKKE is the strongest character of the Inherit squad. Those who already have the regular Dorothy will definitely want to get their hands on this version.
Dorothy: Serendipity is an attacker who fires bullets that are enhanced to be stronger than usual every time she hits targets a certain number of times with her regular pellets. Her weapon of choice is still the Ungrateful OZ, while her two passive skills are Flash and Radiant Wings.
When hitting the target with 80 pellets, Flash gives Dorothy: Serendipity the Pierce effect for three rounds, while increasing the hit rate and attack damage. The pallet count is fixed at 1 for three rounds. Hitting the target with 160 pellets expands the Pierce range by 200% for three rounds. Her other skill, Radiant Wings, increases Dorothy’s Pierce damage, attack, and hit rate. Then, there’s Dorothy’s burst, False Salvation. When used, Dorothy: Serendipity’s attack speed, attack, and number of pellets are all increased, ensuring she can hit harder and faster.
Dorothy: Serendipity’s limited-time banner is only available until August 7, 2025. Recruiting her also gives Collection Item maintenance kits and Advanced Recruit Vouchers based on the number of recruitments conducted.
►SSR Elegg: Boom and Shock
The second SSR character to join the fray is Elegg: Boom and Shock. Not to be mistaken for the original version, this holiday version comes dressed in a swimsuit that fans and gamers will no doubt love. While the original Elegg’s goal is to install her favorite game on every device in the world, Elegg: Boom and Shock utilizes the power of ghosts in ways only Elegg can.
Elegg: Boom and Shock’s weapon of choice is the BFG, which is likely a reference to the popular FPS game series, Doom. All of this character’s abilities are based on ghost-centric comedy movies. This includes:
- Hello Ghost, a 2010 South Korean movie that received a Taiwanese remake in 2023
- Ghostbusters, an iconic movie franchise from the United States that originated in 1984
- 13 Ghosts, an American movie released in 1960 that was remade in 2001
Elegg: Boom and Shock’s abilities strengthen her and her allies’ attack power by capturing ghosts possessing the enemy. On the other hand, her burst skill lets her deal significant damage by utilizing all of the ghosts in her possession.
Elegg: Boom and Shock’s limited-time banner kicks off on July 24 and runs till August 14, 2025.
►All NIKKE summer update rerun banners
It wouldn’t be a celebration without bringing back some fan-favorite NIKKEs. This time, players can expect the following rerun banners:
- Sakura: Bloom in Summer (July 24 - August 14)
- Rosanna: Chic Ocean (July 31 - August 21)
These NIKKEs are identical to when they were previously available. This version of Sakura is still an attacker NIKKE who utilizes the Ichigenkin, and breaking enemy parts still lets her maintain more powerful attacks. Rosanna is still a supporter NIKKE who uses the Golden Thompson AR. She’s one of the best characters to pair with Sakura: Bloom in Summer, considering she enhances her allies’ attacks every time she destroys the enemy’s parts, while helping allies destroy parts quicker.
Naturally, those who are unsure about any of the characters included in the limited-time or rerun banners can try them out in the Union Shooting Range. Every NIKKE is only available temporarily and will cease to be playable when their respective banner expires.
All new NIKKE summer update costumes
While some NIKKE fans are always anticipating the newest characters, others want to personalize their favorite NIKKEs. The summer update brings three new costumes for players to acquire through various means.
First, there’s the Red Flavor costume for Rapi: Red Hood. Wearing a revealing red bikini, this costume is available through the Costume Gacha. Players can expect the costume to have full VO, Burst Skill cutscene, standing pose, and SD special motion.
Then, there’s the Sunblaze costume for Tove. Bringing some flowers and a lot of yellow to the game, players can get this costume through the Survivor Pass. The costume also has full VO, ensuring maximum immersion.
Finally, there’s also the Summer Romance skin for Julia. Unlike the other costumes, this one requires players to purchase the premium mission pass for August, though LootBar can help with that. THE GHOST!” story event that has two parts, with the first starting on July 17 and the second on July 24. Participating in this event can potentially help players acquire gems, development materials, and Lost Relics. There’s also the event shop where players can exchange items until August 7, when the event concludes. With a challenge stage, clean-up minigame, and memory films up for grabs, every player will want to participate in this.
Aside from the story event, there are a handful of other events, including:
- 14-day login event
- 1000 days present
- Solo raid that will open on July 24
- Full burst day event (weekend only)
There are also the beta seasons of Champion Arena. Beta season 8 starts on July 17, while season 9 opens on July 31.
