What is the Gholdengo ex card in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Gholdengo ex is a Steel-type card in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Being a stage 1 evolution, this card evolves from Gimmighoul, who can be found in the Shining Revelry or Paldean Wonder packs. Gholdengo ex’s status means that the enemy gets two points for knocking it out. Fortunately, it has a fairly high health of 150, which should help in survival as long as you play around its weakness against Fire-type attacks. Metallic Turbo lets you take two Metal-type energies and attach them to one of your benched Pokémon. Naturally, you want to use this opportunity to attach Metal-type energies to Gholdengo ex.
After loading up Gholdengo ex with enough energy, use Leaf to swap it in for Dialga ex. Now, it’s time to use Spending Rush. Continue using this attack on your enemy to deal constant damage to them. It may also be a good idea to set up your second Gholdengo ex on your bench to ensure you can swap between the two if required.
All of the support cards in this deck aim to maximize Gholdengo ex’s sustainability. Remember, you don’t want it to get knocked out, because that may put you in danger. Instead, use cards such as Lucky Ice Pop to heal your active Gholdengo, and Metal Core Barrier to reduce the damage it takes. You can also evolve your Galarian Meowth whenever you require a tool from your discard pile.
Gholdengo ex X Orthworm deck
Orthworm is extremely similar to Dialga ex, since it’s also a Metal energy accelerator. Because of this, this deck is better if you don’t have Dialga ex.

This is because you eventually want to use Lyra to switch out Orthworm with Gholdengo ex.
