Everything New To Look Towards In Season 4
Here’s a grouped list of all the new things in season 4 and their details:
New Monsters
There are now two new types of monsters to fight that fit the season’s theme. In solo missions, you can now fight Savagerots, which look like snow leopards and wolves. The other new monster is the Glacierbane, which you can only attack during rallies. Both these new monsters give seasonal rewards when you beat them for the first time.
New Seasonal Buildings
There are new themed buildings which will only last while season 4 is active. These buildings include the Thermal Lab and the Smart Greenhouse. The Smart Greenhouse will passively produce a new seasonal resource called Icebloom, which is used to upgrade the Thermal Lab. Speaking of which, the Thermal Lab’s purpose is virus resistance, a new type of resource necessary to defeat monsters and capture cities.
Once you get four Smart Greenhouses to level 15, you can unlock a Strategic Barrack to increase troop capacity as well as get access to upgrades for your troop’s attack and defence.
New Event
A new event called Snowman Mania is now available too. The main purpose of the event is to gather snowballs by completing daily tasks and using them to hit your snowman. As you keep launching snowballs at it, its level will grow. You will get rewards like seasonal resources and rubies. You can level up the snowman as high as 70, with crazy rewards along the way.
New Resources
There are two new resources this season. One resource which we already mentioned is Icebloom, which is used to upgrade the Thermal Lab. You get this through the Smart Greenhouses passively. Keep upgrading these buildings to generate more Icebloom.
The other resource is Cryolite, which is used to make seasonal buildings like the Smart Greenhouse, and get other upgrades. There’s no way to passively produce this resource. You can only get it by completing missions and defeating the new seasonal monsters.
New Scouting Task
Some zones on the map will turn blue throughout the season. This means that the temperatures are extra low in those regions, which will activate the chance for Frozen Rescue. When that happens, visit the region on the map and look for frozen animals. Send your scouts to rescue these animals from the cold and talk to them to receive Icy Emblems. This is a type of currency that we’ll talk more about later.
How to Quickly Get Lots of Cryolite
Unlike the previous seasons, this one doesn’t have seasonal mines. Resources have to be gathered manually or passively. But, Cryolite can’t even be gathered passively and you have to manually do tasks to get it. Without this resource, it’s impossible to upgrade your Smart Greenhouses. Without that, you can’t upgrade the Thermal Lab which allows you to build up virus resistance and fight high level monsters or other settlements.
So, if you want to get lots of Cryolite to quickly fight stronger monsters. Level 1-3 Savagerots and Glacierbanes don’t require virus resistance and give Cryolite the first time you win. But, that’s too slow. Instead, you should manually rally with Alliance members to fight very high level Glacierbanes. On first wins, they will give you thousands of Cryolite, allowing you to easily upgrade the Smart Greenhouses and get much stronger. Auto joined rallies won’t offer these rewards, so make sure you join manually.
Other than that, keep gathering resources and collecting snowballs to participate in the Snowman Mania event. Levelling up your snowman will give you lots of Cryolite. Frozen Rescue also grants lots of Cryolite once you rescue enough animals, so keep an eye out for cold snaps. All these ways are much better and faster than solo battles.
Bob’s Supply Shack: A New Store for Season 4
The Icy Emblems you get from Frozen Rescue can be used at a new type of store called Bob’s Supply Shack. Here, you can trade the emblems to get all kinds of rewards, such as Icebloom, snowballs for the Snowman Mania event, and more. What Season 4 of Dark War Survival is All About
The entire purpose of season 4 is to survive by focusing on your Smart Greenhouse and Thermal Lab. Get Cryolite to upgrade the Greenhouse, which will give you Icebloom to upgrade the Thermal Lab. This will give you virus resistance to fight more monsters, which will give you even more Cryolite.
