Pokemon TCG Pocket is indeed a fun game to play. Not only battling against bots, but players may also have a chance to battle other trainers as well. There are some events where you can get rewards after winning such battles, one of them is the Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1. What you can get from this event are little badges called Emblems, which you can display on your profile, showing both your experience and skill as a proficient Pokemon trainer. While the rewards seem interesting, the way to obtain them may be tough because you have to deal with a lot of players, each with their own unique deck. What Is Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1
There are many events in Pokemon TCG Pocket where you can battle a special Pokemon deck to get item or promo card rewards. But this time, it’s different. The Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 introduces a mode where players can join in a PVP battle. The event was held from December 9 to December 16, 2024. Although it has been almost a year since its release, maybe we can expect a new PVP event release in the near future. Since it’s PVP, having strong cards is necessary. You can depend on Lootbar for that.
Multiplayer events in Pokemon TCG Pocket are different from those in other Pokemon games, like Pokemon Go, for example. Players don’t have to wait for the local timezone to change. Instead, they can instantly fight other player trainers anywhere in the world. As long as the event is live (and they still have some Event Energy), any players can join in anytime they want. This was such a great event to have, because we’ll never know what we’re up against. We never know whether our deck is stronger or weaker than the enemy’s.
The Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 will reward skillful players with Emblems after they have won a consecutive win. Since consecutive wins are required, the counter will reset to zero each time you lose a battle. Therefore, it would be best to be prepared with your best deck against all the players. Additionally, winning the PVP battles will also grant you item rewards, such as Shinedust and Pack Hourglasses.
The Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 Rewards
What players were looking for when joining the event were the Emblems, special badges that they can display on their profile. But again, it’ll be a long and harsh road you’ll step on because everyone could get their hands on the Meta cards. The battle is usually competitive, where players mostly use cards that are strong and consistent. Consistency is the key here, because you’ll need to have a deck that’s easy to set up so you can deal some damage as early as possible.
Talking about rewards, there are four Emblems, namely the Participation Emblem, the Bronze Emblem, the Silver Emblem, and the Gold Emblem. Reaching the Gold Emblem is a tough journey, but it’s always worth it to see your special badge with a golden crown on it. Here are details on the Emblem rewards:
| Emblem | How Many Wins to Get |
| Win 2 consecutive battles |
| Win 3 consecutive battles |
Win 4 consecutive battles | |
| Win 5 consecutive battles |
Since you will need to get 5 consecutive wins, you will need to make a lot of preparations. Prepare your strongest decks, and update them if necessary with the new cards that have been added to the game. Because you need consecutive wins, it may take a few tries to actually get the desired amount. But no worries, you’ll have plenty of time until the event finally ends.
Other than the Emblem rewards, players can also get Shinedust and Pack Hourglasses. For these items, you don’t need consecutive wins; just regular wins work. Players can get up to 12x Pack Hourglasses for participating in 10 battles and 2000x Stardust after getting 15 wins. If you are grinding for those 5 consecutive wins, you will eventually get all the items when participating in the event.
Tips For Conquering Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1
Battles against bots, although there is great difficulty, are still considered manageable since the cards you will face remain the same. But things are different when it’s PVP. Because we can’t predict what enemies will use for the battle, we need to be prepared with a solid and consistent deck build. If you need stronger cards, depend on Lootbar.
There may be several deck recommendations for conquering PVP battles, especially in an event like this, where people basically decimate each other using their strongest decks. One is a Greninja and Suicune ex deck build. In this build, Greninja ex acts as a secondary attacker to deal additional damage. Suicune ex will shine with its ability to draw an extra card, as long as it’s active. Its offensive ability will receive an additional 20 damage for each card in the Bench. With it, you can draw as many cards for evolving Pokemon (in this case, it’s Greninja ex), and put them on the Bench. Greninja ex will free-hitting enemy Pokemon from the bench, and you’ll get an easy win.
Another recommended build is Mega Altaria ex. This Pokemon can deal a massive 130 damage and is not that hard to set up. However, support cards like Professor’s Research and Poke Ball are always required to draw basic cards faster. Put down your attack in the Active spot and two Indeedee ex cards on the bench. This Pokemon can heal 40 damage per turn (you’ll get 80 when putting two). Therefore, your attacker can still be healthy despite how strong the enemy’s attack is. Put your best offensive Pokemon, and the win is yours.
Conclusion
Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 was indeed a very fun event that Pokemon TCGP had. Hopefully, they will have another one in the near future. Joining PVP battles like these requires players to have stronger and better cards. If you want to upgrade your deck, you can always do a Pokémon TCG Pocket top up and have a higher chance of winning against other players.
