Step into Solara: A Sunny, Strategic Paradise!
Get ready to explore Solara, the dazzling new map. Imagine a vibrant summer port town with breathtaking twin peaks and charming subtropical vibes. It's got those gorgeous jacaranda trees and uses a cool blend of realistic and subtle sci-fi art styles, all splashed with cheerful blues, whites, and bright yellows. Big news on the custom room front: Custom Rooms are now FREE! Yep, say goodbye to those room cards. All old cards are gone after a major rework. There's a short cool down between creating rooms, but inviting friends is easier than ever with links or QR codes. There's a new Advanced Room Card for 100 diamonds that gives you awesome perks like your room being pinned at the top, special displays, a scoreboard, and even in-match chat with other teams. Pet Rumble and Pet Mania modes were removed, but other settings are optimized.
Get ready for the New Prime System, launching May 29th. Just get 100 diamonds to unlock it. There are 8 levels, each with exclusive privileges, and higher levels include perks from lower ones. We're talking special badges, avatar frames, colorful nicknames, holiday gifts, emotes, early access to Royale events, and bonus chances for returning items. You earn Prime Points by getting diamonds (1 diamond = 1 point), and all your past diamond history counts. To keep your level, just earn any amount of Prime Points each month.
Time to get snap-happy with the New Camera System! Capture moments anytime, anywhere, even while parachuting! In a match, it hides the HUD, lets you zoom, use templates, and even play emotes. You can also take group photos in the lobby with friends using special templates. Add frames and stickers when sharing! Try it out for a limited-time mythic emote.
The Preset System is optimized so you can finally equip a character's appearance separately from their skills! The system also auto-switches presets for casual modes. Other handy tweaks include group photos in Season Recap, seasonal Protection Cards, new stats like Actual Damage and Headshots, bans for toxic behavior, Training Grounds updates, marking locations while driving, and QR codes for easy joining.
Gameplay Deep Dive: Who's Up, Who's Down, What's Changed?
Characters and weapons are getting significant tweaks!
• Character Reworks & Balance: Paloma is reworked; she now gets increased weapon precision after destroying a Gloo Wall instead of extra ammo. Ignis is buffed with a longer-lasting flame screen and significantly increased damage to Gloo Walls, plus he can store 2 charges. Lila now grants 2 extra Gloo Walls when she freezes a knocked enemy. Luqueta's max Shield Points boost is increased, but the initial stacks give slightly less. Moco's mark duration is slightly reduced, and Luna's movement speed from her skill sees a small reduction. Skyler, Homer, Clu, and Kassie have usability improvements. Arvon's skill works while parachuting, and Skill Cards for Koda, Kassie, and Oscar are added. Device cool downs are adjusted for various skills.
• Weapon Adjustments & Reworks: Many Assault Rifles (SCAR, M4A1, etc.) get buffs to damage or Gloo Wall-breaking power. They turned the M14 into a marksmen rifle with better long range power + Gloo wall damage. Machine Guns (M60, M249) see buffs to magazine capacity, armor penetration, and movement speed while shooting. The Heal Pistol gets an accuracy boost.
◦ The Kord is reworked! It fires differently based on whether you're standing (three rapid, low-power bullets) or crouching (one high-power bullet at a medium rate), making it versatile for combat and breaking Gloo Walls.
◦ The VSS is also reworked! No more bleeding effect, but it now has a full-auto 3-round burst with much higher fire rate, accuracy, and magazine capacity! Both the Kord and VSS are now in the CS Store.
◦ The Heal Pistol-Y is simplified – just shoot downed teammates to help them up! Bullet trails from off-screen enemies are clearer, as are effects for attacks penetrating Gloo Walls. New sound effects have been added for hitting different objects like Gloo Walls and armor for better feedback.
• Battle Royale Tweaks: Load outs are adjusted, impacting items like Bounty Token, Leg Pockets, Supply Crate, Pocket Market, Secret Clue, and Airdrop. The Safe Zone speed is slowed down in the early game on various maps. Vending Machines have updated weapon/skill card selections, and the Arsenal Key price increased. Revived players keep 40% of their FF Coins (up to 400). The out-of-zone healing reduction debuff is slightly increased.
• Clash Squad Tweaks: Weapon descriptions and CS Cash display improved. Trogon price reduced, and VSS and Kord added to the store.
